DO NOT GET LENSES FOR YOUR KIDS HERE. They made wrong prescription lenses for my 3 year old son. After 2 days of wearing the glasses he became sick and started throwing up and it was by accident that I noticed that his lenses looked different from before. When I called them about it they said it should be fine but they would look into it. I went to LensCrafters to check the glasses and they told me that the lenses in the glasses were not the prescription issued by his doctor. I brought the glasses back and Blink employee were quick to blame the lab but it was their job to put the lenses in and check that everything was correct. They told me they would fix it and by the fourth try the lenses were still wrong. I got so worried about their safety that I cancelled my order. I had also ordered a new pair of Lindberg glasses for my son which are very expensive. They told me they would make it right by giving me the lenses and frames free of charge and refunding my money after 7-10 business days. It now has been 4 weeks (20 business days) and I still don't have my refund and no one is talking about the frame or the lenses anymore. We used to buy all our glasses here, several pairs a year, for myself and my husband and our kids, but ever since they came under new ownership the service got so bad and the prices went way up! Recently purchased frames off the store's website that goes by the name of Luxury Readers. Took several weeks to receive my order. Only received updates if I reached out. Finally received my frames, damaged box, damaged case, and damaged frames. Terribly expensive loss. I immediately reached out to Blink and sent photos. I received a phone call back the next morning presumably from the owner or manager accusing me of performing a bait and switch Specifically was told that I was trying to exchange used frames for new ones. No real proof, just a lot of accusation. My attempt at returning it resulted in the owner wanting me to jump through several hoops and not following his own policy. Every obstruction that could be setup, was setup. I called Lunor and they fixed the issue without hesitation. If you want to be talked down to, be accused of outlandish lies, and don't want at least average customer service, then I would highly encourage you to purchase from this establishment. read more

Although the Blink website says Uri and His wife still own Blink - they have retired and no longer own this store that was so wonderful while he was still the owner. It is now owned by a holding company out of Canada, New Look Vision Group that acquired the US based parent company, Luxury Optical Holdings, that owns Morgenthal Frederics based out of New York City, NY that now owns Blink Optical. This is a national chain of eyeglass stores, not the personal, locally owned wonderful store that it used to be. That is a lot of layers of ownership and impersonal corporations that now own Blink. I was very disappointed in my visit there last week and very frustrated. Poor communication, lack of follow through and the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing. I searched high and low for these guys but they weren't available on the current catalogue and it looked like only sketchy sites had them. Then, as luck would have it, the frames broke. These things happen, so I reached out to them again to see if I could order another set or parts, whichever could keep lenses in front of my eyes. The selection of frames is outstanding, they always have the latest styles, and are excellent in guiding you towards the frame(s) that will look the best on your face. Recommended a relative stop by to see if a repair could be done...she was in Lake Forest and not near home...and found them incredibly dismissive and rude, not bothering to even look at the damaged frame. I am going on my 3rd set of glasses with progressive lens from Blink and have always had a great experience. Found out that, surprisingly, not all progressive lens are created equal and the staff took time to educate me on this info. They are defintely pricey and I can't compare experience with other places such as Warby Parker, but I can say this - I wear glasses 15 hours a day and the investment is necessary.
