Well he certainly did that today when he went out of his way to go the office (which was closed) to get my daughter contacts as she left college without her daily disposal wears and had no glasses either. I have been going to Dr. Marty for over 5 years now. I've never had a problem. He does like to chat, but I always account for that, and he puts a personal touch on that. I feel as though if I can't connect with a doctor at all, how am I supposed to feel comfortable with them knowing the in's and out's of my body? He is thorough, and if he doesn't know the answer to something he will try his best to figure it out or make a referral. I trust him and would highly recommend him. The office is clean, has honest and very personable staff. He even has helped me outside regular office hours for emergency situations. He goes above and beyond. My bf and I use to go here and have both stopped. Dr. Marty is always "running behind" on every appt but you can literally hear him from the other room just having long conversations and not trying to stay prompt or on schedule. Literally every visit. In addition, this office is just way to sales oriented. It is very obvious he probably gets some sort of kickback for referrals for LASIK because he's constantly asks if you want it every visit (doesn't seem to remember what you're response was the last four years) and then they have you take extra images of your eyes with their newer equipment which is not necessary and adds to your bill. They don't ask you, they just direct you to do it even though your insurance doesn't cover it. They make it seem like doing these extras is not actually an option that you can opt out of. In addition they try to up sell you on random unnecessary stuff. For instance they "highly" recommended these night time cooling and warming eye mask. Nice $60 addition to my bill. Obviously that's on me to say no, but it's just so pushy with purchasing these unnecessary items. Like maybe recommend for ppl that need it? Not everyone just so you get more money in your pocket. So refreshing going to my new doctor that actually asks me if I want to use these extra services and let's me know up front that they are not covered by insurance. Oh! And I don't have to wait an extra 30min for no reason. I'm in and out now and my doctor actually holds herself accountable with the schedule. read more

This staff here is AWESOME! I had an eye emergency and called them after hours. The doctor on call responded very quickly and was able to call in a prescription for me. Dr. Marty is extremely thorough and knowledgeable - yet has a humorous side that makes the appointment more comfortable. They have so many options for petite faces. I looked at 6 other places, but couldn't find a pair that fit my face well. I am right between kids and adults sizes. This place had about 10 pairs of petite frames in the style I liked. They are extremely knowledgeable and patient as well. The lady helping me fit the frames to my face based on the width and bridge measurement. read more

Have been a patient of Martin Optical for many years and can't imagine going any where else. Dr. Marty always takes the time to explain exactly what has changed since my last visit, both with my vision as well as current best treatment practices. I came to Martin Optical hoping to browse through their selection of frames. Upon arriving, I was greeted by the very friendly staff who offered to help walk me through their selection. They gave me a quick run-down of the brands and styles they had available and allowed me to browse for a little while on my own. I am admittedly extremely picky and indecisive when it comes to choosing frames. I selected and tried on a bunch of styles and immediately started getting frustrated, unsure which styles suited my face shape the best. The lovely front desk staff were quick to offer their assistance and advice. They seemed very knowledgeable about all the various types of frames and what best suits different face shapes. They listened attentively to my feedback about each frame (details that I liked / didn't like) and helped find alternatives. They were even willing to order me certain frames in other colors or other styles to try out and always offered to show me even the newest frames they had just received, straight out of the package! I came back to the store a few times before I made a final decision and throughout the whole process, they were honest with their feedback and extremely patient. I really appreciated how genuine they were because it certainly felt like I had a bunch of my own friends at their store, offering their opinions!
