I love Dr. Wojick and will still come here for exams, but probably not for glasses anymore. The staff is friendly and helpful and it seems like everything gets measured correctly, but this is the 2nd pair of glasses that just weren't right, but it's the lenses. First pair I tried to live with them and then it was too late to return them. I just had them replace lenses in my new pair and they are worse, so I returned them. read more

How disappointing. I walked in for my 9:20. They asked if I'd be using insurance ( which I in detail filled out my intake form stating I have a letter from my caseworker) so I wouldn't be using insurance. When I handed her the form she goes oh your case worker has to call to schedule this appointment. I was so confused and told her my husband came a few days ago and had no issue... same form, same caseworker. And she said oh he must have came on a day when we take these kinds of appointments. I go but I included this in my intake form,, why would nobody call to inform me of that before I took off work and drove here? I am actually surprised by the negative rooms. I have used this Lens crafters for years and the manager and staff have always been super accommodating and nice. This time I did not have an eye exam, just replaced my lenses since I had the warranty. They recommended when I drop off my frames for the most efficient experience. My ophthalmologist gave me a prescription for new glasses and I stopped at Lenscrafters in Arlington Heights. I've had them prepare glasses for me for over 20 years. You no longer get them in an hour like in the 'old days,' lol. They had a varied selection and the optician fitted me with the one I selected perfectly. They told me they'd text me when my glasses were finished, usually in a week and a half. I was delighted when I received a text that they were ready in just 5 days. Lenscrafters is certainly not the cheapest place to get your glasses, but I don't want to skimp on my eyesight, and I've always had great service at this store. read more

My husband and I were going to try them out because the second frame you can give to a family member. They are the same as any other twofer offered deal. You pay for the more expensive frame if you pick out something out of another price range section. We normally go to America's Best, but the second needs to be only for you. No sharing. AM does the same thing and try to get you two get every bells and whistles you can add to a simple lens. The start out with light weight lenses not glass, of course you are going to say yes to that The the no glare, transitions, etc I get my eye exams at a real Dr. Ophthalmologist. I would get my glasses there but I can't afford the designer frames. I did buy my glasses at my DR's office because the frames are awesome, but the frame area is right when you walk out of the DR's office. They do take your full insurance, but it is only on one pair of frames, my first visit I spent over $700. We have been going to America's Best for years. They also try to push the bells and whistles. But saying no is left at that, the unfortunate deal is on the twofer deal is you can't share the second pair of frames. They so have a hire rating ****. Only drawback for us is not allowing the second frame deal. read more

I had a great experience with my doctor who was kind, thoughtful and helpful. The reason for my poor review is when it came to my order afterward. My insurance I understand only covers glasses or contacts but not both. When it was time to order Len didn't share that information with me and tried to sell me the contacts before we moved on to glasses. I feel like I should have been presented the options available to me and been able to decide for myself which best suits my needs. As glasses are more important to me I searched for contacts online and found them cheaper. He then challenged me on what I found. Afterwards I was charged for an exam and a contact exam. I'm sure I've probably been paying for that my whole life but I think that when you are scheduled for only one exam it feels predatory to charge for a second exam without disclosing it. All in all, I just felt like a sale and not a person. read more

While I was waiting for my son I noticed how friendly she was with other staff and customers and how helpful she was. I am very upset over my visit to Lenscrafters today. While the doctor was very friendly, that was completely thrown to the wind once I encountered the remaining staff there. I have Aetna insurance, and my plan includes a free eye exam every 12 months up to $100 and $150 allowance towards contacts or glasses. They could not seem to figure this out there. I literally sat and waited for them to try and figure out how to handle my insurance for an hour. I called Aetna and the representative advised them of my benefit (their computer was telling them I had no benefit). They still couldn't confirm this. Of course, this wasn't until AFTER I had my comprehensive eye exam and placed my contact order. They wanted me to pay up front for my $130 eye exam and my contacts. I was very agitated and I told them I refused.. my insurance PAYS for it and they are considered an in-network provider. It took another 1/2 hour of arguing with staff to get the office manager involved to pretty much go over the same ordeal. Finally, my complaining must have gotten on their nerves because they told me I could leave and they would keep "trying" to figure out how to input my insurance in the computer (I believe the issue is that my vision benefit is under my medical benefits, it's not a seperate vision plan). I didn't have to pay, but they told me that they would call me after they squared it away. I was extremely unhappy with how big of a hassle all of it was. I will return to pick up my contacts and that will be my last visit to Lenscrafters. read more

I've been to this location about 5 times. The customer service really depends on who you get. But today was really the end. I have an emergency that i have to out of town for this upcoming weekend. I only had a few contact lenses left, so i went online to order new ones from 1800CONTACTS, which i've done before. I ordered them a week ago. They contacted me and said they have had no one contact them back from LensCrafters about my prescription for almost a week. I called over to LensCrafters this morning. They said my prescription ran out (year and a half since last appt) and i need to come in. (which is another story altogether) I said i have an emergency and need to get these shipped immediately and to please help me out. I'd be happy to book an appt. right now for when i get back, but i need 1 box now. They said no. can't help. against the rules. I find this ridiculous. I understand getting your eyes checked every year, but my eyes haven't changed in 30 years, and i'm pretty sure getting 1 box to your customer wouldn't kill him. for a month. It's not like i'm refilling a heart medication. Seriously. I grabbed my prescription from my last order and ordered them through a canadian supplier. Done. This isn't the first time this place has pissed me off, time to move on. read more

Ive been getting my contacts and glasses here for several years now; as well as my yearly eye exam as the place is conveniently located by work. The place is always very clean and the people that work there, including the eye doctors has always been very professional and friendly. They have a wide variety of designer eye glass frames at reasonable prices. Just last month, they were having a 50% off sale on some of their frames so I took advantage and ordered myself a prescription lens and a Polo designer frame for $224, including tax. Plus, if Im not happy with the frame, I could return it as many times as I want within 90 days....yes, 90 days. The person that worked with me was very patient as I tried on different frames and the frames and lenses were ready in about an hour. read more

Alright, called in at 2 PM on a Friday, got an appointment for 3 :20 PM the same day. Got an eye exam with a talkative lab technician who took the time to explain each step and the purpose of each instrument. The eye doctor reviewed the results with me in great details and wrote the prescription. Back to the lab technician to choose frames, lenses, etc...Again she went the extra mile explaining the different options, pricing stuff with my insurance vs. current Lenscrafters promotions. All was in stock and I picked up my brand new glasses at 7 PM that same night. Granted, I'm still wearing pretty standard single vision lense ( on my way to progressive or bi- focals I'm sure but not quite there yet....), but still this was great service! Will be back here for my next eye care needs. read more

If you ever want to go to a place where they simply ignore you, go to this place. I was their customer and have purchased 3 sets of prescription glasses before. I went there to buy some new glasses. There were a few people there. They told me to wait. I understand a business can have customers and I waited for an hour. Mary, the "sales representative" at the Arlington Heights LensCrafters is horrible. My husband had an eye exam that was covered on our insurance plan 2 weeks ago, but after LensCrafters checked the insurance for glasses coverage, we were told that his glasses needed to wait until the first of the year. So on 1/1/17 we went to the same LensCrafters. Mary asked if she could help us, we told her the size for frames, and she said that she would look for frames in that size. She promptly walked to the desk and had conversation with another employee.....and never came back with the promised frames. When we found 3 frames that might work, Mary magically re-appeared. She yelled across the store "are you ready"? She asked us to sit down, and was disorganized and appeared totally disinterested. She looked up our vision insurance and said that my husband wasn't eligible because our number could not be found. Keep in mind, the LensCrafter's rep found the number 2 weeks ago. I showed her the number again, but she said "here, you can read my tablet, it says your number can't be found". Seriously, a LensCrafters representative found our coverage 2 weeks ago but Mary was not able to do so today? Mary was basically unwilling to assist a customer and that lost a sale.....and customer. Addendum: On 1/2/17, we went to LensCrafters at Hawthorne Mall in Vernon Hills. Harriet found our insurance coverage without ANY problems and was WONDERFUL. All I had to do was get a new lens for my mother-in-law's glasses to replace the one that was lost. I thought no problem, I'll just drop off the prescription and the glasses. Who am I crapping? From the time I walked in and put my name down to the time I got out of there, it was an hour and a half. A guy from the lab helped me first, wasn't sure he could make the prescription, let me check to see if we have the lens blahblahblah. Comes back, yes we have it, he then disappears. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Optician comes. We go through what I need again since lab guy is gone. She goes to see if they have the lens. Comes back. yes we have it. I knew that already. Let's pay already, ok? Good. I pay. Now I can leave to have fun with my kid on my day off. Now that the day is more than half over. I return around 5:30. Nobody who was there before is working. Understandable. Receptionist/office manager/????? resembling Jackie O. arrives to assist me. I tell her why I'm here...to pick up the glasses I spent 1 1/2 hours dropping off prescription for. She walks to an empty desk, to a pile of glasses in plastic bags, brings it over, checks the name, pulls out the glasses briefly and tells me "I'm just going to bring these to the lab for a final check to make sure they're perfect. She leaves bag with glasses on the lab shelf. I watch bag for 1/2 hour. They don't move. Nobody looks at them. Jackie O. disappears. When she returns, she has forgotten who I am and why I am there. I explain who and why. She retrieves the untouched glasses from the lab window. I tell her nobody looked a them. She pulls out the paperwork and shows me the initial and says "Of course they checked it, here, see this right here?" Yes you dumb bunny, I see it. It was checked before the lab put it in the plastic bag, before I even arrived. And i've been sitting here getting more and more pissed off for no reason because you could've given me the damn glasses a half hour ago. This is why I prefer to go to a real doctor with a private office and wait two weeks for my glasses. read more

I've been going there for years but the decline in service over the years is very apparent. I looked around for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging I was there. They weren't busy and I finally walked towards the back where I had an eye exam appointment. I took a seat and waited some more. Finally I walked up to the desk and asked someone who was trying very hard to not look up so she wouldn't have to do anything. I filled out a form and after another 10 minutes or so, someone came out to get me. The eye exam was fine. The doctor was very thorough and and knowledgeable. I picked out some glass frames and waited. There were several employees who were literally doing nothing. After 15 minutes or so I went to the front desk and told them I couldn't wait any longer and could they please write down my prescription, which they did eventually. I left and will be getting glasses elsewhere. My insurance covers the eye exam in full, so I will still go there for that, but not for the actual glasses. Also, they used to have a great selection of high end designer frames, but not any more. There was only one I was remotely interested in and that was even more out of necessity. Plus all the frames and shelves had a noticeable layer of dust on them. Never again! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I had an eye exam in 2015 and was very pleased with how everything went, so I decided to go back to this location for my annual exam in 2016 despite moving to the city and this not being very convenient for me. My problems started right when I walked in. I came in around 11:45 a.m. to check in for my 12:00 p.m. appointment and was informed rudely that my appointment was not until 1:00 p.m. I knew that this was incorrect as I had other commitments for the day and there was no way that my appt could have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Because I really needed new contacts I decided to run a few errands I had and come back for 1:00 p.m. Before I left to run my errands though, I was told my the front desk girl that I NEED TO BE BACK ON TIME as the doctor has patients back to back and would not see me if I was late. I hurriedly ran my errands and was back before 1:00 p.m. I was taken back to the exam room shortly thereafter, had the tech perform all the required tests and left in the room to wait for the doctor at about 1:15 p.m. I'm usually a very laid back person, so I just told myself that the initial encounter was a big misunderstanding and reminded myself that I am here now and my appt will be fine. Well, it was anything but fine! At 1:45 p.m. I was still waiting for the doctor, and decided to pop out of my room to ask how much longer I'd have to wait. The girl I asked did not seem to know what was going on, and was very lost overall. She went to check with someone else, and came back to tell me that she has no idea how much longer and that the doctor will be with me whenever she's done seeing other patients. This really bothered me as I was told to HURRY back for my appt, and now I was left to wait for who knows how long. At that point I decided I've had enough, gathered my belongings and just left. How dare they treat people like this? This place is so lost and completely disorganized. I will never ever return to them, and definitely urge anyone who is looking for a new eye place to avoid this place like the plaque. read more

Terrible customer service. Just awful. I made an appointment online but somehow it didn't go through. Which is fine, technology mishaps, I understand. But then they told me that they had time for me since they had a no show. However I wait over an hour and a half just to get seen by the doctor. And the worst part is they put me in the exam room waiting for over 55 mins when I could have at least spent the time picking out glasses. I got new frames here a few years ago and it was a good experience. On my husband's recommendation, I decided to see Dr. Saha for a checkup recently. She is very personable, friendly and knowledgeable. The tech who helped me was super nice as well. I was very impressed. I will definitely go back for eye exams, contacts and frames.
