I went to Arlington Heights FOR EYES on July 5, 2025 as I have been a customer for many years, overall. I was in the market for a pair of glasses and I went to FOR EYES when frames AND lenses were 50 percent off. YEAH!! Mariyum B., the technician that helped me on July 5, 2025, deserves recognition for her customer service skills. She was an ACTIVE listener to the KIND of frames I was looking for which was KEY to me. NOT ALL "plastic" frames sit on the bridge of my nose, correctly. The FIT of the frame needed to be "snug." Also, I did NOT want the frame to be TOO large (my prescription is STRONG or THICK) since there could be an "optical" illusion effect from SUCH a STRONG prescription. If you know what I mean! A smaller frame would cut down on the "optical" illusion effect. Again, Mariyum B., was an ACTIVE listener and pulled out frames in storage (drawers). I went to Arlington Heights FOR EYES knowing EXACTLY what I wanted. Mariyum B., DELIVERED! She is VERY PROFESSIONAL, smiled a lot, knowledgeable and helpful!!!!! What MORE can you ask for?! I started going here in April 2024. I loved it but everything took a turn in October 2024. they lost my glasses but wasn't willing to take responsibility. they assure me they will call me when they know something. but 2ce their promise to call never came. I almost gave up and took it as a loss. it is now February 2025. ‍. but I thought I will try going to the Schaumburg store for help. the gentalman Tony, thank you very much for hearing me Tony, osent me back to the original store to see Filieppa The new manager . She only took about 5 minutes to get me from the waiting area to tell me let's go pick out some glasses . Dawis was also there along with the Dr to take care of other matters going on. I really love this store, the manager is very helpful and dedicated- she goes the extra mile! Also the staff person who helped me (Winnie) was so patient and thorough. Here is my saga- I needed new glasses even before covid hit, and by the time I finally was able to go looking, my frames were starting to crack along the seams holding my lenses. I went back to the For Eyes where I got them (a DIFFERENT store in a nearby town) and the person there was very unhelpful- told me he would have to call all the stores to find whether they had the same frame. Knowing this was not true, I went to the Arlington store a little bit further, but I have gotten glasses there before and was always pleased with their service. As soon as I got there, the manager asked if she could help. I explained I needed to replace my frame to tide me over and then get new glasses. She quickly checked their computer and let me know those frames (5 yrs old) were discontinued, but said they were having a president's day weekend sale with 50% off the total price of glasses. I picked out a frame, it took me about 30 minutes but they were fine with me looking, and switching mask off and on. After I found the best one, Winnie helped me complete the sale. She noticed that my old frame kept sliding down my face. She was very careful to ensure the new frame fit well and would not slide, and she was also very careful to take time measuring the trifocal lens requirements so I would not need to keep adjusting the frames up and down to be able to see distance versus close-up. I had to leave town for a week, and the day after I got back, I got a call that the glasses were ready. I went over about an hour before their closing, and was quickly given the frame after going thru the checklist of all the customizations as I had ordered all of them. Everything was perfect, and as I said before, the total price was as promised, 50% off, which ended up being less than half the price that I have ever spent on glasses in my life. I am just so pleased at my experience, I want to shout to the world that this is a great place and staffed by manager and people who are very sensitive to people's needs and deliver fast, efficient service and quality product (and I am very very picky!) I also referred a friend because of the sale, and that person also got a great glasses, quickly and they also did a great job for them over the sale weekend. What else- their selection is great, from low cost to designer frames. I also looked at other vendors including the try-on at home ones, and this place ended up being the best. You really can't go wrong. I know they have another sale happening now, and I am considering going back because I would like a backup pair of glasses and bc they have such great deals :-). I don't think I have ever received better customer service! I had an issue with glasses that I purchased and not only did the store manager Filippa help with making things right. She came in on her day off to do so. My glasses are awesome and I couldn't be happier. Really not a great place. Almost every single time I go there for something, they mess up my order. Last year I ordered new glasses and when they were delivered, they had them for a week and never called me. When I finally went to pick them up, they were the wrong prescription so I had to order them AGAIN and wait ANOTHER two weeks. And now, I went in for a contacts exam about a week ago, told them a thousand times that I needed a refill. The doctor said it would take about a week, of course I never got a call, so I just checked and THEY NEVER ORDERED THE CONTACTS. After I literally told multiple people there that I needed more. Nobody ever thought "hey maybe we should order those". It's something like this every year where I gotta wait like a month to get what I ordered. So so annoying. read more

This is my go to For Eyes location! I like the two for $99 deal on glasses, but they always push you to upgrade your lenses which makes no sense for me since I rarely wear my glasses. I love that they will refit your glasses for no charge whenever you need it. Sometimes I fall asleep with mine on so this is super helpful. Just a warning this place is always crowded. And you are supposed to sign in on a wait list. I didn't know that the first time and had to wait a super long time! read more

I went to this eye doctor about a year or two ago for an exam and I was not a fan. I am somewhat scared of the test where they put pressure on your eyes and I had a very hard time opening my eyes for the two of them. The doctor was giving me a very hard time about it and was clearly impatient with me. While she was helpful and was informative she could have been nicer and more patient. With that said, it looks like the doctor that examined me doesn't work here anymore so maybe the current one is better. read more

It was very clean and well organized... the staff made me laugh the entire visit.... I especially like that Aramis thoroughly explained to me the billing and insurance process while I had never been to see an eye doctor before..Winnie was also a breath of fresh air and I was able to walk away with two pairs and contact lenses for a very low price.... I had an appointment yesterday for my yearly check up. It was a quick check in, with little to no wait. The pre-exam went quick and I didn't have to wait for Dr. Borawski at all. Dr. Borawski is quick, clean and professional. She projects a friendly demeanor and let's you take your time attempting to read those itsy, bitsy letters. She gives the patient plently of options when selecting contacts, and can list pros and cons about all of them. She even recommended an eye drop solution for me that would help hydrate my dry eyes, and it contains less chemicals than the other over the counter choices. If you are on the borderline of a prescription change, she is very cautious of over-correcting or under-correcting a vision problem. She will ask you about your lifestyle and what kind of reading that you do. She then will help determine what the best prescription for you would be. I would suggest requesting her and coming in on a Sunday. Sunday's have less hectic feel to them. It's very zen on those days. read more

I visited For Eyes about 6 months ago for a replacement set of prescription sunglasses. The old pair I had were lost and the frames were obsolete. I agonize over picking a new frame because I'm not big on change. But Jazmin came over and helped me select a great pair that makes me look fabulous. A few days later my glasses were ready for pickup and Jazmin helped me once again make sure they fit right. Skip forward 6 months after my prescription sunglasses were run over by a car and I needed a replacement pair before leaving for vacation in a week and a half. Jazmin helped me once again (and remembered who I was). She said the frames were back ordered and would take 3 weeks to get. I told her about my vacation and she said she would do her best. 4 days later I got a call my glasses were ready for pickup! I love For Eyes as my one stop shop. Just had a great experience at For Eyes Arlington Hts. They approached as I came in to see if I needed help and I said I was browsing for frames because I already had my prescription from my ophthalmologist. They said fine let me know if I can help and left me and my daughter alone to browse. No strong arm sales - just time and space which I appreciated. We ultimately selected two frames (one Regular and one Sunglasses) on the BOGO offer and then sat down to place the order. They offered all the packages for progressive lens but didn't push me to buy the Premier - most expense package. Also appreciated. Paid $320.00 total for two pairs of glasses which will arrive in two weeks. What more could you ask for? I'll be back- for sure!! read more

I am a customer service trainer. Jon Bolin and Yesha Patel are very caring and knoweledgeable. If a client didnt like them, it would be because of their own negative issues. There is no way you wouldnt build and instant relationship with them. Its rare I come across people that have so much passion for what they do and for me, the client!! I ordered 2 pairs of glasses on Nov. 19th, 2018. 2 different frames- 1 single vision sunglasses, other progressive bifocals. Nobody called to tell me they were in, so I called to find out. They said they left a message, but there wasn't one. They switched the order, so had to get both pairs re-done. Made a trip back after I realized they were wrong. 12/13-left voicemail that my glasses were in. According to their website, this location is open until 5pm on Sunday. When I drove there, they were closed. Made another trip the following Fri 12/21 to pick up both corrected pairs. Only sunglasses were there. I wasn't happy. I called when I got home to speak to Manager about where my other pair of glasses are. Lab was supposedly closed Fri until Wed. Suggested that I call them back Wed, today. When I called, she wasn't in. Someone called later and said glasses SHOULD be done Mon or Tues next week. I spent over $400, and this is unacceptable. read more

There was a mistake with the glasses that were made and a pompous young man said he would not look into it. He said if I wanted to report the problem, I could return when a Manager was there. He did not take my name and number, he was not interested in selling me 2 pair of glasses. I will never return. I had a appointment this morning for 11am which I made 4 days ago .. online .. when I got there I was told that I couldnt see a doctor till 1230 .. that they called and left a message which they didn't..I left and went to Walmart and got to see a doctor and tested and ordered new glasses there . It was my first experience with Four Eyes and it will be the last one. This place couldn't care less about their customers. They placed wrong authorization with my insurance company, made me visit and go through the order 2 times, promised to call me back 4 times and never did. I think Four Eyes has to re-think their hiring, personnel management, and training. To say I'm upset would be an understatement. I lost 2 weeks for nothing. read more

This review is long over due for my experience in January. Not only was the staff courteous and attentive but they worked to get me a great price on my glasses and sunglasses. The glasses came in on time and I was alerted promptly. I think I've been to about every chain in the area and a few private docs. The price was very fair and at no time did I feel like I was being pushed into an up selling situation which is so often the case with the chain eye glass shops. Been a longtime customer, I have seen many changes over the years going back to there first store in town. Today called to get a refill of contacts and had the worst customer service experience in eye care ever. I have had issues the last 2 times I was in there with them trying to scam on the pricing but today finished off my desire to ever do business with this company again. I spoke with "Edwin" the manager and simply asked to order the same product I had before for the same price I purchased it for 6 months before. He told me they do not do that anymore. I informed him that the hold recording states you have a low price guarantee. I am having you just match the price you gave me before of 114.00 for the contacts. He said can not do it they are 138.99. So I asked for my prescription to fill them in another company. He wanted me to either come in to get a copy or fax it. In today's day and age there is no other option to get a copy. I feel this is another way they control purchasing products at there stores only at highway robbery prices. I asked to speak to the regional manager he provided a number it was just to another store or you can call the 1-800 we screw with you number. They informed me that the person to talk to is Wesley Morel but they have been instructed to not give anyone any information on how to get ahold of him. So another company that has decided instead of dealing with customers they will hide there management. I personally feel this is the final straw to how they are all about the profit and don't give a hoot about there customers. Complete frauds. Been a client for over 15 years in multiple locations and they have the audacity to call themselves a professional establishment. Their optometrist is misleading, as well as part of their staff. I had a few weeks before my "so called" need to renew my prescription and I asked to purchase a six or twelve month supply of oasys contacts. Both the staff employee an the optometrist lied to me and said I can only order a two week supply since my prescription is almost up. Only to find out that they were misleading me in order to charge an extra $100 for a new check up, as if they needed the money. I highly recommend any other company, but For Eyes. I plan on taking this as far as possible to hold the optometrist an the employees present at the time they misrepresented accountable. read more

Went in for a contact lens prescription and Dr. Ross was very rude and opinionated on my choice of contact lens brand. He goes off on a well rehearsed rant about my normal eye examination and then gets uncomfortable with any questions. They hold your prescription hostage till you do as they say. They were very nice in helping me select frames, but when I went to pick them up, she just plopped them on my face and said, "You're good to go." Okay but wait. There's something wrong, I can't see right. One lens was made upside down. Back to the lab, back to the end of the queue. Went to pick them up, now I notice they don't fit. Received an attitude from the sales girl who was quite pushy and unprofessional. After returning, hoping for the polished lenses, the lenses were not placed the same in the frame. Looked terrible. Went in for a contact exam after having a horrible experience at America's Best. I drove in from the city so it was a hike but well worth it. I was super late for my appointment but they were extremely nice and understanding. They fit me in as soon as I arrived. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, but I wanted to highlight doctor Loretta Borawski she was absolutely incredible. She took her time, really listened to the problems I'd been having with my vision, and worked to be sure we had the right prescription. I left with a sample pair to try out and unfortunately found they weren't quite right BUT no worries I called back and was able to get in the next day for a follow up. Dr Borawski got everything adjusted and I left with another sample pair of contacts in my perfect prescription!! So pleased with my experience I would recommend them to anyone. read more

To be completely honest, I've never really liked going to the eye doctor. For me it's a hassle and a burden because I usually spend quite a bit on my glasses and contacts because I have a super high prescription. This year I went in with pretty much no expectations but Dr. Patel and Jon changed my mind. I was not only comfortable in the exam room but my experience on the sales side was phenomenal. Jon sat me down and actually took the time to not only explain everything but give me a great deal! I saved so much this year compared to the past! I've been wearing glasses for YEARS and no one ever took the time to explain anything. Jon did an amazing job helping me understand the product I was buying. My wife is bringing back the glasses you repaired yesterday. When I went to clean them the lens dropped out. I put on my old glasses and examined them. The frame is broke just above the hinge you fixed yesterday. I am handicapped and will come in next week. Fix them or replace them. I am insured. If you need a copay, I will be buy to pay on Tuesday. It however will be the end of our business relationship. Your product is less quality then years past. This is the 2nd third trip in over the past two months.
