It's the worst store to go to make your glasses, it was a terrible experience, I lost my money with them, I did bad vision exams and they didn't want to recognize the mistake! I never go back with them, they are absolutely not professionals! read more

So my previous experience here was fantastic. I love the optometrist, and she was great. Today, I took my 12 year old son for a check up. The lady at the front no idea her name was very unprofessional. She told me she didn't want to work today because she had family at home for an event. Look, I don't care. Just do your job. Plus the appointment was at 9:40 it is now 10:20 and my son still hasn't been seen. Son was seen. He needs glasses. No worries he picks out a nice frame. Then the lady who talked about her family which I found out was the MANAGER. She questioned my parenting because my son picked out rimless frames. They looked great on him. He's 12, I think he knows what he likes. Then when I asked if we could half the payment like I did back in June. I was told I can't do that and that they don't do that. I made her look up my account since she didn't believe me. She saw that is what happened and she said, "well, that Employee isn't here anymore." So, I said can you find out for me? She got really upset and was rude about it. So I had enough and I yelled that I will buy glasses online and give me my son's prescription. I told her she was rude and to mind her business on what glasses I get for my son and that nobody wants to hear she doesn't want to be there on a Saturday. Not my proudest moment, but the whole situation was unprofessional and irritating. I will never NEVER come here again. Very unprofessional. read more

Very friendly, all of the team members were kind and takes time with their customer's. Firm on enforcing policies, which I appreciate. I haven't had any problems with them, yet. But, it would be interesting to see how they handle it for any future complaints / problems. So far so good. 4 stars will be converted to 5 stars when they handle any potential problems in the future. read more

Needed some glasses and an eye exam. I called the morning of and the squeezes me in. Super friendly staff and have an honest opinion when I was looking for glasses. The only down side is they don't cut the glasses there so they take a week or so to get them read more

amazing service from Eric, super friendly and amazing at quick fixes, replaced the frames no out of pocket!!!

The staff is friendly and the optometrist is very helpful. I do recommend finding a way to hire a second optometrist. The only reason you loose my business is that you can't get me into the schedule. read more

Came here for a simple replacement for nose pads. They're $10 for the pair. As soon as i came in, I was greeted and asked what I needed. They were so nice about it. The person i had explained everything from the pricing to the types of nose pads they had. They were even kind enough to switch lenses on a pair of sunglasses I had. They wrapped the unused pair and made sure it was padded to prevent from breaking and scratching. This Pearle Vision was such a great pleasure to be in. The employees were friendly. The place is clean. They were knowledgeable. Definitely recommend this place for your eye needs! read more

Let me put it this way, the whole experience with this cheap organization was very sad. It drains out your insurance money, provides unprofessional customer service, get lost in what they are promising, staff is uneducated and last but not least, they are overselling cheap frames at big buck. To my experience, the personnel failed to process the prescription for computer prescription glasses and made the reading glasses instead, what made me felt blind-as-a-bat once I tried them on. The lady freaked out once i denied the approval to wear that final product, and lastly neglected any option to concern to discuss when I asked what should be done to correct this mistake. She also told me she couldn't find my records in their database, as they we're going paperless (my prescription was scanned to god-knows-where then a month ago). Anyhow, I left (with those stupid bat-reading only glasses) and resumed back to Pearly store to ask for upgrade next week. I asked to just simply change the glass to blue filter.... Guess what - going in second month - no call back, no response, yet no answer to the call. In short - * This place doesn't know how to read prescriptions * This place upsell cheap frames (I ordered Ralph Lauren for $299, however those sell for $149 online) * Customer service is absolutely embarrassing * This place milks your insurance money and is not worth your time. read more

Great location. Near Best Buy. Felt welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. Sanitizing and cleaning is outstanding. Fantastic variety of glasses and sunglasses. I went in to get new lenses for glasses I had for less than a year. I was told they'd be $459! I went to Costco and ordered lenses for $60. read more

I had my eye exam done at another location and also purchased contacts at that location and the experience was quite crappy. However, my prescription had changed enough that I needed new glasses so I was in a little bit of a bind... The associates at this location were really helpful in helping me select frames (regular and sunglasses) since I really had no idea what I wanted. I went on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy, but there were quite a few people there. There were many designer brands and the prices of the frames were reasonable. My vision insurance is not great so I pay most of it out of pocket and where I got hit was the lenses. There was a buy one get one sale, but I still ended up paying an ungodly amount of money. They did price it out with their BOGO sale versus my vision discount from AAA and in the end, the BOGO was a better deal. Both sets of glasses arrived in under a week (and on a holiday week) and are making a huge difference. Overall I would go back to this location over the other one I had my eye exam at. read more

Extremely over-bearing staff and processes. Even before Covid, they would text me asking to confirm my appt. I would respond always with 'confirmed'. And they would still call me over and over until they spoke to me directly to get a 'verbal' confirmation. Why even have the text confirmation then? And why do ALL other places accept a text confirmation except you? Recently, I had an appt scheduled. It was really bad weather (snowy and icy) and the roads were getting bad. I actually arrived 15 minutes early but had to take a quick, important phone call in the parking lot and figured it's probably best not to go in early because of Covid restrictions, etc. As I was on my call, I saw that it was a couple minutes from my appt time and so I wrapped up my call. As I did so, I got an incoming call from Pearle Vision (did not answer). I was like 'wtf?!' It's literally my appt time and I'm walking in now why are they calling me?! Then, as I walked in and gave my name I was greeted with a condescending 'oh running late today huh?' I was so taken aback and responded with 'it's exactly my appt time'.... to which she responded even more condescendingly 'no we asked you to be here 5 minutes early to sign the forms' (which actually is not true. On the call I received for the 'verbal confirmation' I was not told to arrive 5 minutes early. In fact most places want you to stay in your car UNTIL your appt time to reduce the number of people in the building. But either way, I was so upset I almost just walked out. (PS, this was after my ORIGINAL appt was cancelled on ME last minute because the doctor couldn't come in that day for some reason.... which I was patient and understanding about). At the end of the day, I don't need my phone blowing up 85 times to get a verbal confirmation and I certainly don't need to be chastised for being a couple minutes 'late'... ESPECIALLY when I was not late AND the roads were terrible which would likely cause many people to be late because they are trying to drive safely!! Will NOT be returning and will be advising all my friends, family, etc not to give them their business either. read more

Nice Pearle Vision location. They have a great selection of frames, with lots of great designer brands. And this place is almost never crowded, so you always get lots of attention here. read more

The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. I scratched my lenses a couple of month after purchasing them. I called to ask how much it would be to replace them because I did not purchase the insurance. The person on the line was genuinely empathetic about my situation. She asked me to bring the glasses in to the store to see if there was anything she can do to avoid me having to pay for replacements. Jasmine went above and beyond to help me get my lenses replaced at no extra cost. All I had to do was wait. She contacted the insurance and did all the leg work. I am very impressed. Good customer service is hard to come across these days. My family and I will continue to use this location for our eye care needs. read more

Ive been a Pearle customer since 1993, picked up my first pair from the old Lombard location. Last June, 2017, I had an eye exam and purchased a new pair even though my prescription barely changed in over 5 yrs. I had a conversation with I believe, Jasmine, 2 weeks ago and she confirmed I can go off my old prescription at any time. It was going to be more convenient getting my new shades from the Skokie location so I filled out the release form to obtain Schaumburg's prescription. Selena from Schaumburg told the mgr at Skokie she couldn't release my prescription(due to 1 month expiration) and that's when I got involved. From my request, Selena told me she would email me the prescription but no Pearle would honor it since it was 13 months old(1 month expiration). I told her I've done this in the past 25 yrs and this is the first problem I received from a Pearle employee. I received the email and forwarded it to Sarah and she responded Selena was snotty to her as well and this type of transactuon occurs all the time. I'm fully aware of this fact. I have the ability to utilize my eye med coverage at any optical store as it's a competitive industry, yet I chose to stay with Pearle. Adios Scaumburg, how ironic a Selena song is playing on the radio as I type this. That Selena seemed so nice.RIP. read more

Got a good deal on frames/sunglasses after insurance. Jasmin was very helpful in picking out the right frames for me.

We been to this location several times in the past 2 years. Great office team...and great doctors! Not to mention the large variety of glasses to choose from. We have done both ...contacts and glasses and in all occasions have been given outstanding service from both teams. Amir is part of the office team....possibly a manager. If he is not ...he should be. Very very professional, willing to help, gives you time to make a decision, and is very knowledgeable. Never made us feel pressured and even tried to personalize our visit which made it more memorable. We went in to the office this time thinking it was going to be a tough visit .. just got glasses but my husband is not happy with how they look outside the store. Amir greeted us and was very pleasant the entire time. No argument not pressure. Just helped us and made us very happy we did business here. Thank you Amir! read more

I would like to acknowledge what a great office this is. I came in on a saturday afternoon frantic with my 4 year old crying that something was in her eye. The front desk staff was so nice and attentive that they immediately called the dr up front. Dr Brauer was then so kind, gentle, and helpful while doing the exam on her. He was able to administer eye drops and make her feel better although she was still crying due to being scared. He is a fantastic doc and i highly recommend this location all the staff is great! Thank you! Thank you! read more

I ALWAYS have issues getting my glasses adjusted rt because I have a stigmatism and if its off by even a hair it messes with my vision. With that being sad, I went for new glasses at Pearl and had a great experience picking out my glasses. Everyone helped me and was very patient with me. I ended up not only getting glasses but sun glasses also. 1 st time ever that I would be having sun glasses, I was really excited to get them. So picked my glasses up and the wait for two weeks began to see if the glasses were fitting rt for my vision, well they didn't! I felt sick even cause it was like I was on a roller coaster wearing them. My vision just would not clear up. I knew I was going bk , I just hoped they understood me.. It's so hard to explain and in the past I have had ppl practically tell me just get over it and stop bugging me u see fine ( not Pearl. this was in the past) So I told Amir about my problem and I was soo relieved when he listened to everything I said and believe me I said a lot on how my new glasses didn't work for me at ALL!! Amir was soooo patient and adjusted them a few times and before he even thought about having me leave he had me look around and read what I could as I looked out. Before I could ask well what if this doesn't do anything to make it better cause u know u have to give ur eyes a few days to adjust, anyway Amir said we'll just have the dr look at ur eyes again and see if they had the rt script . So I went bk to see the dr. and it came out the same..... Omg!! What the.. I thought , I was sure it was the script that was wrong cause Ive gone through that before where it was off a tiny bit but made a hugh diff. in my vision. so I sit down at Amir area and thought for sure now I'm gonna have a problem with what to do next if there was anything to do.. And Amir was just like ok let's see what I need to do now to get this fixed for u, I felt soo relieved that I didn't have to go over and over about how I can't use these glasses! He listened to me again and gave me tests on what to look at and pin pointed that it was that pupil wasn't lining up with my glasses ( something on that order) I was just soo happy that he found the issue!!! :) So basically Amir did his job plus a lot more in my opinion in getting my glasses fit me rt. Amir called the lab and made sure they knew exactly what needed to be done. So here I go picking up my glasses. I came in and Amir told me he was going in the bk to get the glasses off the truck or see if they were ready. And I put them on . They were better but still weren't rt somehow, Amir saw I was still having a problem so asked if he could do a adjustment , after that they were a lot better. They finally fely like new glasses! I was so grateful that he didn't give up on my issue ( it's not easy dealing with my eyes ) Everyone was friendly and helpful I want to thank everyone for all their help and to Amir at Pearl because of u I will come bk and my husband will be needing glasses and we will bk with him. Because I know I don't have to stress anymore if I have to practically fight with who ever I had gone to about getting my glasses done rt cause at Pearl in Schaumburg they will get it rt and Amir doesn't care what he has to do to make u happy and r seeing as well as possible! Thank u for everything Val read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! My daughter and I have been coming to this location for a few years now. Sure, Pearle may be a chain store, but this location sure doesn't have that big corporate kind of feel. I'm always impressed that we're greeted by name every time we stop in. The service and follow-up is amazing. You can tell the staff is very close and genuinely love what they do, and it comes across in their customer service!!! As a mom, I oftentimes judge a place by how well they treat and interact with my daughter, and this location exceeds my expectations. If you're looking for a new vision provider for yourself or your family, look no further! read more

BUYER BEWARE - I was fitted for a pair of sunglasses at the Schaumburg location. Within a couple of weeks, the glasses fit too loose. Had them adjusted. A few weeks later returned for the same reason. one month later, yet another adjustment. Tech admitted that they fitted me with the wrong size frames. Offered me a selection of other frames none of which I particularly liked. Tough luck. Even though they made the mistake, they have a no refund policy read more

for starters, when I pulled up to the store as I was parking I could see into the store and I saw the store manager and one of her employees flying paper airplanes across the store. I parked and went in to pick up my new eyewear that I overpaid for but they are the only ones who really take my insurance so I am kind of stuck. Anyway, I tried on my glasses and they did not seem right. The manager, I think her name was Katy or something, seemed disinterested in helping me and basically just told me to take them home and try them out. I would have felt better with the whole thing had she just explained a few things before trying to shoo me out the door. Ohh well! I guess flying paper airplanes was more important. Too bad! read more
