Thank you, Filippa and David! I was trying to replace an old arm on my glasses, and I couldn't get the screw back in. I tried for an hour, no success. I finally called this store on Higgins Rd, and asked for help. David answered the phone and told me to come in. I drove up, and the parking lot was fairly full for a Saturday, so I was expecting to have to wait. I walked in, looked around, and then I heard a voice saying, "are you here for the repair?". And there was Filippa, just as pleasant and as friendly as if I was family! I explained my situation, and she gently took my glasses and arm and said she'd be back (estimated wait time between 2 and 20 minutes was what she told me). I sat down and waited, literally under 5 minutes, and here comes Filippa with my glasses, arm neatly replaced! Cleaned and everything! She explained that the spring arms are tricky, but that she was able to get it back on without any problems. She also said that there is no charge for repairs, and let me tell you, I will be back for my next pair of glasses when this one goes! Filippa and David are a great team and are clearly committed to a high level of customer service for all their customers, new and old. They know how to manage a busy shop, including me as a walk-in, and were professional, courteous, and caring to all. You both saved the day for me, truly. I had a horrible experience at this For Eyes, so bad that after 20+ years being a customer, I am changing my glasses provider. I went in to order (3) pairs of kids glasses, they added in all these extras without reviewing it with me and didn't run my insurance. They only ordered (2) of the (3) glasses and never gave me a reason why they didn't order the 3rd pair. Tony, the store manager has very poor customer service, I had to follow up multiple times to get a resolution. One time I called, and they put my on hold until the store closed. When I went to a competitor, they gave me the same set of kids glasses for 1/3 of the cost. They took advantage of the situation, overcharged me and then wouldn't help me resolve it, would not recommend this location. read more

After many years of going to For Eyes at 700 E. Higgins Rd. in Schaumburg, I have decided to make a change. I was Dr. Petersohn's patient for about twenty years, having had no problem with her at all, ever. She was a great doctor. However, the person who signed me in and was performing the pre-examination was surly, angry, aggressive and rude. Finally, after a few minutes of being the object of her snarkfest, I decided not to subject myself to her behavior any longer and walked out without completing the pre-examination. She had been rude to my wife a few days earlier when they spoke on the phone and was rude to both of us in person during my appointment. I don't know how this business can continue, considering how badly they treat their customers. For my part, I will never be back and will discourage anyone I know from going to For Eyes. read more

The manager at the Schaumburg location forgot to order my grandson's glasses. They had been ordered in enough time for him to get them for the start of school. When they didn't come in, my daughter went into inquire why the glasses were so late. The manager then admitted that he had forgotten to order them. He assured her that he would get them as soon as possible. Well , after waiting another week, she tried calling the corporate customer service line. No one ever picked up. I'd then tried calling the customer service line as I no longer work, and after being on hold for 15 or 20 minutes, was told that I couldn't leave a message and was cut off. My daughter ended up getting into a argument with the manager from the store and canceled the order for my grandson's glasses. Do not use For Eyes! read more

If I could give this location lower than 1 star I would. I went in on Aug 3, 2023 to get an eye exam for my son (6) and I. Dr. Joanna is great and was excellent. I ordered a pair of glasses for myself and my son after finding out he needed glasses from Tony Puller. Both were ordered (I thought) that day. The following week I picked up my glasses and was told my son's would be there soon. 2 weeks go by and I call and never get a phone call back. Finally, I went into the store on Aug 26 and met with Tony (after waiting almost an hour because he "ran to the bank" when I got there). He pulled my son's glasses order out of the top drawer of his desk and said "Ma'am, I own this, I apologize, I didn't order them." These glasses frame's color was not in the store and we were told they could order them no problem. So he ordered the frames while I was there and I was told they would be there soon. Keep in mind my son started school and needed these glasses for reading. On Sept 5, I called Tony and was told that they had the lenses and not the frames. What?! Obviously I am very upset and was told he would call me back (shocker he didn't). I then called the next day (Sept. 6) and Tony had "run to the bank" again. When he finally called me back he was rude and didn't own his part in this whole fiasco. It's insane to me that ordering a pair of kids sunglasses from a GLASSES COMPANY was this difficult. I canceled my order and will never go back or recommend anyone use the For Eyes (Especially Higgins) location in the future. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. read more

First and foremost, if you are at risk for covid, do not go here. They dont require customers to wear masks correctly or supervise which glasses are used. Save yourself time and do not go to this location. I have had plenty of success with other four eyes locations and was expecting the same here. I was sadly disappointed. The eye dr switched me from monthly to dailies. She gave me 5 temporary ones to try. They were incorrect. I was told the right ones would be ordered. I never once received a call from anyone at this location. I had to check in weekly and everytime I was told they couldn't help me. We are now over 3 weeks in waiting for temporary contacts. Mistakes happen but there was NO communication. I have been using the same daily for 3 weeks with no answers or solutions. Just spent my last ever visit to both this vision center and ophthalmologist. Had a routine eye exam and normal consultation discussing the current state of my eyes including review of of the photographs with Dr. Kawecki. To my shock she billed out a 125 dollar Code 99xxx (Medicare medical and not the normal vision code 92xxx) consult fee for the first time ever). This placed the total for this exam at $220 triple the maximum cost that i have ever paid before and since i have HMO insurance plan, after the fact i was told that they do not accept HMO insurance. There is absolutely no way i would ever go there again. read more

whew! If going to the eye doctor isn't stressful enough..... The eye doctor here (Dr Klein) is amazing. Everyone else here....complete and utter meh! The person (Vanessa) inputting my information on the computer. Couldn't get the numbers correct. Instead of asking for help she just plugged along and said "she knew how to do it". (I asked her to talk to her boss if she was having trouble) Then in pricing my contact lens. She told me one price. Then she said a price $34 more. When I asked her why the price increased. She told me a discount didn't take effect. After I walked in the door to my house, she called me telling me she overcharged me $34. Now, if you do not know what you are doing. Pls check with your manager before the patient leaves. You are talking about eyesight here. I came here to get a new pair of glasses for my son, the assistant Athenia, was very helpful, courteous, and professional (even though I came in at 4:30 and they close at 5pm. you know how sometimes you are given attitude and the whole "you know we close in 30 min" or "you should come back tomorrow") No, not her, she was a sweetheart. My son had out grew his current pair of frames even though we had just gotten them from another provider in May, and she picked out the perfect ones that would last a little longer instead of frames that fit just right, she noted that these have "room to grow" as my son is only 8. I love the Dr here, however after having said that, I ordered 2 pairs of glasses in March, (because of Covid) I received them in May (not the problem) Both glasses were no line bifocals and the placement was incorrect. They sent one pair to be corrected. The one came back without being corrected in error, they then sent both back for correction this time. When I came in to get them Lee was there, he helped me and was very friendly. I tried them on, still not good; blurry, could not see clearly (near or far) He asked that I try them for a while, he then said, "if they still aren't good come back when the dr is here so she can check your eyes". So... today I called to ask if the dr was available Saturday to check eyes and the glasses, the script is not correct. I explained what had occurred and NINA ( the girl I spoke to) was so rude, abrupt, snotty and dismissed what I said and then angrily said me FINE. Her attitude was so nasty. It was if I was taking money out of her pocket to see the dr to fix a almost 500$ sale! I cannot believe how UNPROFESSIONAL she was towards me. When you call a Dr office you should expect to talk to a curious front desk staff. I work in the medical field and know exactly how I should have been treated. That girl needs to work away from people! She certainly does not know how to treat patients. After these glasses are corrected, I won't be back. I was just at For Eyes this morning and hands down best experience. I recently bought glasses at LensCrafters and I definitely felt ripped off by how expensive my glasses came out to be. I spent $20 less at For Eyes and left with an additional pair of glasses. I got two pairs at For Eyes for cheaper than ONEEEE pair at LensCrafters. I was upset because they didn't have the color of the glasses that I originally had from LensCrafters but Lee, the salesman, assisted me with picking out an alternatives that are almost identical. Along with the new pair that I get to wear!! AHH so happy and just have to see how long it takes for them to come in and see if the rest of the experience works out smoothly (: Definitely going back and happy even though I didn't get the exact pair of glasses I originally wanted. read more

At 48 this is my first experience needing glasses. I felt a bit overwhelmed picking out frames, and understanding all the different options available. I was very fortunate to have Lee assist me. He has excellent product knowledge, explained my lens options thoroughly, he helped me pick out a great looking pair of glasses. He wasn't satisfied until I was. I went through all the normal stuff to get glasses at this place - I had my eyes checked, I picked out frames and then I had to wait a week for my glasses to come in. The first time they came in the lenses were scratched (as in I couldn't see through them). I sent them back to the lab and was told to wait another week. So I went back a second time and they were scratched again. It looked like they had tried to clean them up, but didn't finish the job. I sent them back again. A week later I picked them up and they were fine. I asked for some sort of coupon or something for all the trouble. The woman I was dealing with refused to give me anything or even apologize. I will never return to For Eyes and I have told all of my friends and family about what happened. read more

Overall, the prices at For Eyes have been fair and I have been pleased with my glasses prescriptions. However, I have very underwhelmed by the staff at For Eyes, and specifically, Dr. Joanna Kawecka. During my past two visits, Dr. Kawecka has made extremely rude comments to me. She has been very disrespectful towards me, and has refused to acknowledge any issues I am having with my eyes/contacts. After telling her I have itchy eyes and issues with my contacts, she laughed, and proceeded to encourage me to keep buying the same brand of contacts (she did not make any other suggestions or recommendations). I do not plan on returning to this For Eyes ever again, and I would never recommend it to a friend or family member. read more

This review is for both the Schaumburg store and the Lakeview Store in Chicago. Not impressed. The glasses came back ok, but I find the way For Eyes does business is questionable. Contact lens order took over 4 weeks and still have not received. 1800 Contacts delivered within 2 -3 days. These guys forget it.I will keep my business with online venders who actually deliver. I had ordered around $500 worth of eye wear and contact lens from For Eyes. The glasses came out ok and were done fairly quick. The presentation of them using these cheap lens cases for designer frames I find quite questionable when Pearl Vision always gave you the designer case. I had refused to accept delivery on a pair of $200 len frames that didn't come without a Ralph Lauren hard shell case. After much talking with the management, I finally received a hard shell case. I should not have to be haggled to get a lens case. Give it to the customer it shows they will take care of their glasses. This message is not against Dr. Klein or their staff. Dr. Klein is one of the best optometrists I know at least in Schaumburg area. I will however not keep my business with For Eyes because I was not impressed with time to delivery for my contact lenses. read more

I love love love this place! i have been in glasses and contacts all my life, and i have finally found a place where i want to go back. Dr. Klein was very personal be and professional. Roxanne took one look at me and pulled out the PERFECT pair of glasses for me. She also found a way for me to get an additional $30 rebate on top of the $60 rebate that was normally being offered for contacts. I found the selection to be very up to date. sometimes a eye wear store has all sorts of older outdated styles filling the wall, this is NOT the case at For Eyes. I would recommend this store to everyone, and I am thrilled at how fun and easy the whole experience has been. i think the pricing was quite competitive as well. read more

Submitted my frames and prescription to get new lenses. The set an initial expectation of 3 business days. It's now been 2 weeks and I still don't have my lenses. They said the lenses didn't pass final inspection twice and then they broke my frames. They claim they will give me the best possible product, but delays and expectations they set make me wish I went elsewhere. read more

Much better experience when I went last week!! I feel more confident about my health after speaking with the doctor/owner of this location. She was very patient and answered all of my questions. She explained reasoning behind a lot of concerns that I had due to the conversation with the first doctor that I'd work with. She was very reassuring and I left feeling better about my decision to give this location another try. My contacts came in promptly and pick up was quick and easy. I've been going to Dr. Klein for over 20 years and have not been disappointed. They've been consistently friendly and helpful through many pairs of glasses and contacts, as well as when a small makeup particle was stuck in my eye and had to be removed. The prices are fair and you will have to wait at least a few days for your contacts or glasses to be delivered, but they usually give a fresh new pair of contacts before you leave the store. read more
