This is one of the best ophthlamology practices in the greater Chicago area. Both Dr. Wood and Prickett have excellent technical skills plus they bring a humanistic approach to their work. They are highly ethical and treat both their patients and staff with the utmost respect. I have been examined by Dr. Wood for floaters. I am developing a cataract (fortunately does not need surgery) but when the time comes I would travel to Arlingon Heights from Chicago. I have been going to Northwest Eye Physicians for the last five years. The first doctor I saw was not very friendly. I switched to another doctor who helped me solve my problem. He was kind and caring. The staff at Northwest Eye Physicians is professional and knowledgeable. The downside is that they schedule their doctors very tightly and you will have to wait to see your doctor. They have three separate waiting areas for all of the patients they see and don't have room for. I have waited up to an hour to see my doctor. Like many others, this is my first time at Northwest Eye Physicians. I went to get my eyes checked and the entire experience has been wonderful! From the front desk staffs to the eye doctor. Dr. Adam Prickett was the best!!!! He was very patient and knowledgeable. He explained and answered all my questions as I had many. Can't believe I missed putting my review of this clinic up but this place Dr Wood, Dr. Jose and Dr. Prickett are physicians I would NEVER let them treat my eye condition again. They had from September 29th 2023 through January 3rd, 2024 to diagnose and treat the sudden vision loss I had and NONE of them could do it. Dr. Wood likes to tell everyone they have crusty eyes and buy his products ftom the front desk when you check out. Well his staff told me he owns the practice, of course he's pushing his products but as far as his expertise in eye conditions, he has none. After my last visit on January 3, 2024, I decided never to go back and find a physician that could do something. So when I got my statement in the mail, they billed me and my Insurance for a test never performed. I called, they agreed they did NOT do the test they billed me for and have yet to file a corrected bill. My insurance is investigating this now as a fraud claim. PLEASE do yourself a favor and don't waste 4 months like I did with Northwest Eye Physicians read more

Dr. Pickett never checked my allergies. If he did, he would have known I am allergic to Neosporin. So he prescribed a salve with Neosporin in it. Burned my eyes and eye corners badly. My life saviors! BEST ophthalmologist service and solution from Doc. Ali. She was amazing and I cannot thank her enough. I had a stye which turned into an ugly, annoying, embarrassing, nasty, and stubborn as heck chalazion. It developed last summer and no amount of antibiotics or heat masks would make this sucker budge. After seeing one optometrist and 2 ophthalmologist and no solution- I felt defeated. I googled one night as a last resort and saw eye physicians. I wanted this chalazion removed so bad. It began to mess with my confidence to the point where I wouldn't make eye contact with people and or wear glasses even at parties all the time. I called the office and they scheduled me right away. I met with Dr. Ali and she was so sweet and kind. She told me what my options where and how she could help. She was fair and honest and gave me facts and prevention info. She did an in patient surgery on the spot and within a week I WAS HEALED! That chalazion was finito, gone, completely vanished. Cannot thank her enough. Tried to get a morning appointment for a lasik consultation and gave them weeks out. I wasn't like, hey I'm bored can I come in next week? I gave three weeks out. And was available every morning thewhole week! No opening. Very rushed, impatient, and impersonal receptionist. So they lost a new patient. But the receptionist did not seem to care very much. They must be doing very well, because.... The consult is $200 so if you're not a candidate for lasik then you just blew $200. Otherwise it goes to the procedure. Pressure is on! What a risk to take. Ta Ta! To your response to this review. You have a CSR that likes to tell fibs. She did give me two potential times on that date in the afternoon. I then asked her if there is any time in the morning for that week. She said no. I was left on the line in silence so I said, "well, okay... thanks anyway. (Brief uncomfortable silence) ok bye" she responded with "bye" That is a lot of conversation from a person you claimed hung up. I am not looking to get anyone in trouble or reprimanded but from the very brief conversation with your recep gave me the sense of her being inexperienced or completely overwhelmed. read more

Our immediate and extended family have been seeing doctors at this practice for many years. We all feel they are the best eye doctors in the northwest suburbs. Dr. Christopher Wood is especially appreciated due to his expertise in eye surgery and extensive knowledge of eye disease and its treatments. Yes, there's a wait for Dr. Wood but as one other patient remarked, he's well worth the wait. Going to the doctor isn't a favorite thing of ours but we don't mind coming here....there's a happy vibe to the place. The receptionists and technicians all seem to enjoy their jobs and are polite. This place is a joke, I called before 1 PM about a laceration on a Thursday and an answering service told me they closed early today and the Dr. on call would call me back. Nine hours later still no callback and I called again and they thought I didn't need a call back today?! For a laceration!? The entire office staff is completely unprofessional and not knowledgeable at all. They act like children, gossiping loudly outside patient doors and aimlessly blocking hallways with their cliques. They know nothing about eye pressure, prescriptions, or basic opthamology issues. Dr. Prickett is arrogant and condescending, who gets upset when asked to explain something. I have absolutely no faith in his "expertise" (which he arrogantly kept referring to) and I will not be returning to him. I am a type 1 diabetic and get yearly eye exams and had to find a new doctor this year. Dr. Ali took the time to explain all of her findings and to go over all of my concerns for my continuing eye health. She was able to tell me that my previous doctor who had told me that I was beginning to have the start of diabetic retinopathy, was not true. She showed me the pictures they had taken and showed me exactly what my eyes look like. Being a type 1 diabetic for 32 years and finding a doctor who takes her time to ease my fears is truly an awesome thing for me. Dr. Adam Prickett provided me with the Gift of Sight. Another eye surgeon had told me that she didn't know if she could do much for me. Now, after cataract surgery, I will be able to drive again. It's a nice facility and the staff are friendly but plan your day accordingly because it is rare to not wait at least an hour after your scheduled appointment time before seeing the actual doctor. The technician may call you out of the main waiting room after 10 or 15 minutes but don't let that fool you. After she does a test or two with you they'll put you into a different waiting room before you see the doctor and even when they call you out of that and put you into a doctors room you can expect to sit there and wait as well for the doctor to come in to see you. Very unfortunate because I do like Dr. Albertson, however in the future if I ever need something more than a yearly eye exam done I will be looking elsewhere because consistently waiting over an hour after your appointment time every time is unacceptable. read more

My Physician recommended me to Northwest Eye Physicians after a visit to the ER for severe eye infection. I called Northwest Eye Physicians and they gave me an appointment for the same day. Dr. Adam Prickett was my Doctor and he immediately assessed the condition of my eyes. Dr. Prickett is a Doctor that cares for his patients. He set my mind and worries at ease after he explained all and then prescribed the correct medication. Due to the extent of my injury, I had to make mandatory visits every other day to continue to see the progress of my eyes. I will continue to go to Northwest Eye Physicians for my yearly exams -Contact Lens and eye glasses (in the same office). After the infection I had in both of my eyes, I will only trust specialist like Dr. Adam Prickett. I will forever be Thankful for finding Great Doctors like Dr. Prickett.
