The frames we had gotten on the glasses ordered here last year broke. We're unsure how it happened, but none-the-less, the lenses would not stay in the frames any longer. Without any questions, after they saw the glasses, they stood by their warranty and ordered new frames. (Unfortunately they were not in stock). I was told it would take a few weeks. A week or so later, I received a call from them letting me know there was a backorder on that frame from the manufacturer - not their fault but frustrating we'd have to wait and use an outdated prescription for a while - we're talking months of backorder. However, a few weeks later they called to say they were able to get them replaced sooner. So, we picked up the new glasses within the week of getting their call. While they are more expensive than the chain optical stores or stores like Costco, they stand by their work and provide "service with a smile." read more

It has been 9 months since Dr Sullivan saved my life. He discovered that my eye sight was becoming very narrow focused. He led my internist to do a brain scan. A mass about the size of a peach had surrounded my pituitary gland which caused it to stop pulsating and around my optical nerves. I had LASIK surgery with Dr. Sullivan and it was an overall fantastic experience. I was skeptical about making the hike from Chicago to Hoffman Estates but he came highly recommended by a friend. During the initial consultation, he was transparent and informative about the surgery as a whole. For the procedure, he was clear with his instructions and gave peace of mind during a stressful surgery. The trip home was tough right after the procedure but waking up the next day having perfect eyesight was unbelievable. I had an absolutely fantastic experience here. I came in seeking a contact lens exam, which they squeezed me in for last minute. I had also been experiencing some pain in my left eye for a few days. During the exam, my optometrist Dr. Klesken saw that I had something similar to a corneal abrasion, so I was seen by their opthalmologist immediately. There was no wait, they just sent me to another room and had their opthalmologist see me right away, which was incredibly nice of them. Their opthalmologist was super friendly (everyone that works here is), and prescribed me some eye drops to use for a week. I rescheduled my contact lens exam for a week later. After I came back for my exam, Dr. Klesken was absolutely terrific and not only found me a trial pair they had available for my hard-to-fit and horribly astigmatic eyes (which I appreciated so much because I ran out of contacts), but she managed to find a type and brand to order that was way more affordable than the specially-made pair I would've had to get for my eyes. Thank you so much for taking care of me. You guys are top-notch and my eyes feel great now. I came here after relocating to the area and due for my annual eye exam. admittedly I didn't do much research; just knew I needed new contacts. I was warmly welcomed the moment I walked in the door. The staff is awesome; very caring and competent. Dr. Ostoich is very knowledgeable and took time to explain my options to me. I have a difficult astigmatism that I've never really understood. Additionally I have monovision contacts that I love because I hate readers. There is an additional test that they offer that isn't covered by insurance but definitely worth the small price you pay for it. It's a retinal scan (?). Dr. Ostoich showed me the pictures of the inside of my eye and explained what it all meant. Let me just say that I pay a ton of money for my dailywear/toric/monovision contacts but don't mind at all. Eyes are important! The good care and attention I received makes me feel confident that I'm in good hands. I will be returning for some glasses and will keep coming back for my yearly exams! read more

My experience with Dr Sullivan and his staffs were outstanding. My son is a special need kid and staffs in the office especially Maria, Christy, Kelly and Zory were so patient, tolerant and playful to him. Dr was also friendly and patient to him while my son was hesitant to inspect his eyes. Great doctors and staff. Everyone is extremely helpful and knowledgable, and there is a large selection of glasses. Honestly have no idea what other reviewers could be talking about when they complain about prices. You're going to a private practice that's surrounded by Inverness, Barrington and the ritzy parts of Palatine and Hoffman Estates. It's not some cheesy chain in a mall! The prices are fair and well worth the level of care and quality. The doctors spend a lot of time with you and aren't rushing you in and out. They actually care. The service is excellent. The staff is friendly and offers the level of help you require based on your needs and questions. If you want help, they help. If you want to browse alone, they leave you be. When you pick up glasses, they make sure you're seeing the way you should be and that they fit comfortably. I'm also always told about offers and rebates for contacts. Agree with the previous person's review.. Only wished I saw this before I went there, I only went there because that is what my insurance VSP covered as Pearl Vision is no longer in the VSP network. Only thing they know how to do is run your credit card thru as they are so overpriced I didn't think I would have enough in my checking account to cover the bill if I wrote a check. read more

Not impressed at all. I went there back in the fall and found they were very overpriced and the service is lacking. Was talking to a neighbor recently about this place and he said that he stopped going there years ago because they are so overpriced. Wished I had talked to him first! I will stick with the chain stores in this case because they have better prices and actually treat the customers better. read more

I got fit in for an 11:30 am appt same day on a Saturday morning after calling about unusual persisting eye irritation and redness lasting 1.5 weeks. Office & medical staff & Dr. Elizabeth Shelus, OD provided superb, informative, compassionate, & thorough care with eye exam that quickly diagnosed the problem (yikes, half of a daily contact remaining in my eye unbeknownst to me), removed it, checked out if any other contact fragments were in my eye, ruled out any other eye issues, and TLC for my eye ( Motrin drops; eye drop sample to use). 80% improvement by Sunday. 98% improved by Monday morning. Thank you, Dr Shelus & all the Sat staff! I am also a regular patient of Dr. Deborah Klesken, OD, whom I see annually and she is experienced, knowledgeable, kind, thorough, helpful, & professional. My whole family has switched over to them. Beautiful facility. They always get you in right away to see an Opthalmologist if it is an eye emergency. The optometrist, specifically Dr. Shelus, is very thorough and answers questions. The front desk staff is GREAT. They look up and find your insurance benefits so quickly. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Ostoich and Dr. Sullivan for several years now. The doctors and staff are both professional and friendly. It is very obvious that they genuinely care about educating their patients on their best options for their personal eye care, and provide extremely thorough exams. My children do the nighttime contacts (Ortho-k) which have been a true blessing and undeniably the best choice all the way around. Many eye care establishments don't even offer this amazing option, but fortunately for us Dr. Ostoich has been providing Ortho-K contacts to his patients for many years. Finally my visits are over.Doctor changed the fitting of right eye lens a little bit and the problem is much reduced. Though not 100% cure but its improving with passing time.
