I bought the sunglasses because I thought I had eye problems but I was having an allergic reaction to the eye drops I was using, and it was causing my eyes to dilate so I went to go buy some quality sunglasses and they did help with light sensitivity but when I realized it was the drops and I no longer needed the sunglasses I went to return them and that's when he destroyed my property so I couldn't return them because Sunglass Hut also pays their employees in commission and I'm guessing he did not want to lose his Commission.

I had a horrible experience at this location. I went into purchase sunglasses and the sales rep…read moretold me that Maui Jim is top-of-the-line. He also stated that it comes with a lifetime warranty that was amazing. Made it sound like the greatest warranty to ever exist. Being an attorney, I like to know about details, so I inquired a bit more and asked for a copy of the warranty. Turned out that it was a 2 year limited warranty. Very limited might I had, had several exclusions and leaves all discretion to the manufacturer. The store was closing and I also felt rushed. In fact the sales rep responded, "you're killing me man" when I asked him a question. It was clear that he wanted to go home. After using the glasses for about two weeks. I thought that perhaps they had been exposed to extreme heat as I had left the glasses in my car for a period of time. However there was no physical damage to the lens whatsoever. I was having an issue where there was a smudge/glare on the right lens that just could not be cleaned. I took them in within the return period expecting to exchange them and the person who helped me stated he was in the assistant manager. He looked at my glasses very carefully and found a small blemish On the lens. It was barely visible and he had to clean the glasses and look very carefully to even see it. He refused to exchange the product for another pair and suggested that I go through the manufacturer warranty. I picked up another pair of the exact same glasses off the counter and looked over it with him and showed him that pair had at least one or two of the same type of blemishes that he cited on my glasses were the reason for not honoring the stores return policy. However he insisted that if a customer would want to buy those glasses he would examine those the same way he examined mine and ultimately would not sell those. I even offered to exchange my pair for his supposedly defective pair, telling him I was not looking for a new pair of glasses just one without the defect. I had him look through the pair and he acknowledged the glare/smudge that I complained of. Bottom line is they do not stand behind our return policy. When you go to return an item they go to the glasses very carefully and look for every reason not to return or exchange it. They do not take the same care to go over the sunglasses they want to sell to you. I strongly believe that the blemish he was complaining of was probably there when I bought it but I have no way of knowing for sure neither does he. When I buy a $300 pair of sunglasses I expect a certain level of customer service. I consider giving two stars on this review however the misinformation about the warrantee shows that they don't take the time to educate their employees. Secondly, the assistant manager that would not take my return took my information and told me that the manager of the store will call me tomorrow. He was on billing to give me the contact information or name for his manager. Tomorrow came and went and I did not receive any calls.I'm unlikely to shop here again but if I do I would make sure that I exam in the pair of glasses very carefully before buying them because their return policy is not worth the paper it's written on. The fact that this business does not care enough to claim their profile on yelp or respond to every review that is negative speaks volumes about how much they care about their customers. In hindsight I did some follow up and every platform where a customer can leave a review is filled with negative reviews that the business owner has failed to respond to

We all know you're too cheap to install actual kiosk boxes, so you've offloaded the work onto the customers. You think it's 'convenient' because we don't have to download an app and can just 'text to pay,' but that's just a clever way to link my phone number and credit card to your invasive computer vision surveillance. Standing in a drafty garage, scanning QR codes, and handing over my personal data just to spend money at your stores is not 'innovation'--it's a data-mining chore. Between the constant plate-scanning and the 'AI' tracking my vehicle, you've turned a simple shopping trip into a privacy nightmare. I'll be taking the 'convenient' route of shopping online or driving to a suburban mall that still understands what 'free parking' means and doesn't treat its patrons like test subjects in a tech lab.
