I was there yesterday purchasing sunglasses for my husband. A man and a woman(I wish I asked names) were there helping me. It's hard to buy sunglasses for someone who isn't there to try them on. Love this store! The selection of Oakley's is awesome. I don't understand why they have them split up and on each side of the store but the sales lady was super friendly and knew exactly where the pair I was looking for was located. Most of the prices are MAP so you won't find any great deals but the selection makes it worth the visit. I will absolutely be purchasing my next pair of Oakley's from them too! read more

I did not make any purchase here. This post is to comment on the customer service and overall set up of the store. They do not have an overly extensive collection of sunglasses. If you want eye glasses, there is a Lens Crafter in the same shopping center. I learned from this store that Sunglasses hut only sells sunglasses, ha! I guess that makes sense. I was greeted by a very nice lady who worked here. She seemed very knowledgeable, was not overly pushy on trying to sell me something. I told her I had recently switched to wearing glasses because my contacts were hurting me. She gave me advice on the type of contact lense solution to use and which doctor in the area she'd recommend. Overall, it was a very informative and pleasant visit. The sunglasses here are all on glass shelves, instead of glasses racks like most stores, which I kind of appreciate because it's not so hard to take them on and off when trying. The store was well lit and clean, which you would expect from any sunglasses hut. They carry Tory Burch, prada, Burberry, Dolce and Gabanna, Versace, Ralph Lauren etc, I learned that Chanel had discontinued selling their sunglasses here, read more

I was there on Sunday 5/11/14 and two young girls helped me. They were very honest and helpful and you can tell they went above and beyond to get me a nice pair of glasses that fits my big head. Lol! ( yes, I'm the guy with the big head ;-) I lost my other pair that I bought here last year so I decided to go back because I had a great experience last time as well. Buyers beware!! This was the rudest experience I've encountered by far in any store I've walked into in years. Long story short I've dropped my oakley shades (bought less than a year ago at Rosemont Sunglass Hut location) on July 4th and broken the frame. I really loved those shades and went to the Schaumburg Oakley store location to find out if a repair is possible, they directed me to call the Oakley customer service center for getting it fixed, which didn't work out because the shades were discontinued. Very helpful customer service center at the Oakley store and their hotline. Next I called the the Rosemont Sunglass Hut store and they were very helpful letting me know that since the one year hasn't expired I am entitled at their store or any Sunglass Hut store near my location to get a 50% discount towards my next pair of sunglasses from the same brand at the same price or higher. The same evening I've visited the Deer Park Sunglass Hut location to look for my next pair of shades, and the same discount was promised by an associate; however, I had to run some errands and I told her I'd come back to bring the receipt of my original purchase so we can accurately identify the sunglasses I'm qualified for. The next day (this week on Tuesday night), I came back with the receipt to the store and explained to a new sales associate the story, however, it was near closing time and I was told that I also need to bring the sunglass case to have the discount honored. She was really looking at her clock to close up shop so I was kind of in a hurry at 8:40pm to try and finish up my search and left without making a choice of the next pair of shades, also left frustrated about coming in the next day again with the sunglass case.. Wednesday night takes the cake, I was at the store around 7pm meeting Colleen (3rd associate to explain my story) having my receipt in hand and sunglass case ready to finalize my shopping... then everything went downhill from there... Colleen (being an associate for 7 years) had never heard about the 50% discount policy if for any reason the sunglasses need to be changed, so she was trying to call her manager for clarification. Colleen wasn't keen on listening to my story or try to work with me at all, she had a rather mixed up policy that did not align with other store manager's so first reaction was form her to send me back the following day again to try and speak with her manager... then she denied the 50% discount exist or maybe exists if the same pair of glasses are available for sale, then maybe if its the same brand; however, I've bought this at another store which happens to be at the Fashion outlet mall in Rosemant so since the mall is labeled as "Outlet" that's a different type of transaction they won't honor... also on my receipt there were two sunglasses bought originally, Colleen obviously picked the higher priced shades which happened to be my wife's shades and did not need a replacement... long story short, I hope you see where I am going with this story.... All in all, the least I am expecting when visiting a store at such a nice location as Deer Park is to have an associate who can working with me to understand what I am there for and try to support me through my shopping experience with the least amount of frustration... read more
