After they took my cards for my eye exam and contact lens fitting I had a very pleasant experience in the office with the ophthalmologist. Upon leaving they charged me $110. Deducting $40 for "insurance". After speaking with VSP I was informed that they're allowed to say they take VSP, however, what they'll never tell you is that they're out of network. Not only did they charge me they also very quickly sought reimbursement from VSP and submitted a claim. Their paperwork shows $24 for screening and photos and $76 for CL exam and another $50 for complete eye exam. I'm now battling VSP to get reimbursed. Unless you want to spend time and significant efforts fighting between Visibly Better, VSP and Costco then beware of this dishonest place.

We were told the person handing out the glasses didn't know which case these went with. If not sure, they should provide any generic case that would hold the glasses in. They shouldn't make others make another trip just for the case. Or they should advise no one is available to hand out a new pair of glasses. So, I am disappointed. I love to go there for an eye exam, but not buying a pair of glasses. When calling back, I was told my insurance didn't cover the case. The total price of the glasses was a bit over $500. A portion of it was paid by insurance, the rest by me. Anyone selling glasses at that price should have a case to go with it, even a generic one. Imagine a kid getting his first pair of glasses and not be given a case with it, but have it wrapped in a foil. The manager was contacted. They apologized. She is shipping the case to us. It makes one wonder how much does one need to spend on a pair of glasses to have the case go with it.

After 2 years and numerous optical specialists who could find no reason that my 68-year old eyes could not be corrected to better than 20-65, the recommendation of all professionals was to have my mild cataracts removed. The result is that, although I do not need glasses for distance, my vision remains 20-65 and now I have no mid or near vision without reading glasses. My mid and near vision was fine before the procedures. I feel that I am worse off than before. His offices feel like a surgical factory. The H.E. one is crowded, dingy and unpleasant.
