Located very close to a Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack Schaumburg is located in the Woodfield Village Green shopping mall, right across the street from the giant Woodfield Mall in Illinois. It's a good place to pick up missing socks or undergarments of high quality and OK pricing while traveling. Definitely worth going to both stores, since the brands and selections don't seem to overlap too much. read more

Fall is in the air and on the racks at The Rack! This has long been one of my favorite places to shop, but lately, I've been impressed by how well the staff keeps the racks clean and organized. There are also plenty of cashiers, so the wait in line to pay moves pretty fast. I love that if a cashier asks if you want to sign up for a Nordstrom card and you reply with a "no, thank you," they do NOT keep pressing you, like the people sat TJ Maxx do. I also love that I can always find my favorite brands here, like Free People, Lucky, Levi's, Madewell, Columbia, and so many more. The shoe aisle can get a little tight and crowded on the weekends, but some great prices are here, so it's worth the effort. read more

Poor customer service! I bought two items, in one of them, the security tag wasn't removed. And I had to go back to go back to get it removed. The response I got was called shoulder, it's normal. The staff make mistakes and it's not a big deal. This is at the expense of the customer. As a regular customer, senior, driving 20 miles to get the security tag removed, and it's not a big deal? Low quality selection. Bought few item online which I need to return, shoe came in wrong size. The associate at the register today (short male with black hair)at the cashier ) told me its final and can not do anything about it. He was so RUDE and even told me to donate those shoes somewhere. I swear this looks like an overpriced garage sale. There is zero organization, especially in the shoe department. There is only one box of the socks for trying on shoes and it's had to find so I suspect people aren't going out of there way to find or use it before they try on shoes. The isles are too close together so it's hard to maneuver around other shoppers. If you do find something to buy in the piles of overpriced junk, the checkout lines are long and they never have enough open. Whyyyyy have I never been here. This store was ridiculously clean and I didn't intend to buy anything but did of course. I came here with a friend and I looked for sunglasses while she shopped for clothing. She had like 20 things to try on so we went in the dressing room together. They didn't limit you to a certain number of items and there were plenty of dressing rooms. While I was going through my friends rejection pile I noticed they had Paige jeans. These are the same jeans at Anthropology for $200 at Nordstrom Rack for $60. I ended up trying on a pair of jeans and a top and walked out with an outfit and sunglasses. The checkout line was about two people deep on a Friday afternoon. Ample huge suburban type strip mall parking lot. If you have time to go through "racks" this place had incredible deals! read more

Our favorite Nordstrom Rack location. This is the largest Nordstrom Rack in the area. Large shoe department. Large clothing departments for women and men. Easy to find the different departments as they are clearly labeled: accessories, women, men, shoes, home, and children. Clean restrooms in the far back right of the store. In the back of the men's department is the alterations area. They do a fine job altering the pant length and fitting suit coats for boys and men. We've used this option several times and have had great turnouts each time. Located in the strip mall across Golf Rd from Woodfield Mall. read more

Save yourself the trouble and go to the Norstrom in Oakbrook. The associates are rude at the NS rack in Wheaton IL. I tried on clothes, and the lady in the back was rude. Also, she could not find my online order and told me she could do nothing because it was coming up as returned. I finally got the manager, and he found it in no time. He took the time to look. We are a Nordstrom family. I like shopping at Nordstrom for the large selection of quality brands and high level of customer service. Nordstrom Rack extends these retail values to their off price retail model. The store in Schaumburg is normally pretty busy. They remodeled the checkout area in this store, which seems to help the check out efficiency. I think they have the best selection for an off price retailer, compared to Saks Off 5th or a Marshall's/TJ Max. read more

Awesome store with a large selection of inventory. I bought two nice pairs of boots for work, a pair of Nike shoes for the gym, some nice thick tights to wear under my skirts and dresses, and a lightweight down jacket that packs down. Something interesting here that I haven't seen in other Nordstrom Racks in California is that for any shoe that's not a sneaker, they only have one shoe out, and then you have to go to the shoe counter to request the other shoe. Perhaps they are afraid of people stealing merchandise if all the shoes are out on the floor? Or is it to save space out in front? Dunno. read more

I've been working in Schaumburg for 9 years and just went to Nordstrom Rack for the first time last month. I have my stores I like to shop at (aka Express & VS nearly exclusively) and that's what I stick to. Well I had some time to kill before meeting friends after work so why not pop in and explore a bit, I thought? I have to admit, it is pretty much my nightmare. I walked in and saw rack after rack of clothing - every item different - and tons of people. I detest shopping and was facing my fears! I spent as much time as I could stomach browsing - about 15 minutes - then hit the dressing room to try out the goods. I ended up finding a very cute bell sleeved knit dress for $30, normally $60 and a sweater for $10 that was normally $40. Yay deals! I do love a deal! When I went to check out I got in a line which looked long but I was sure would move quickly because there were so many cashiers. I was wrong. I finally got to the front of the line 30 minutes later! That seems insane to me. I was close to ditching my items and rolling out. Honestly that long of a wait was not worth the deals I found. The cashiers were incredibly friendly though and we chatted it up as I was checking out. If you love browsing & shopping, this store may be great for you as there is a ton to look through. It's honestly not really for me but there are some good finds and fabulous employees! They need to do something about that ridiculous line though. read more

Extremely rude associate at check out. I had to make a return and since invoices are not included anymore, I said I can enter my phone number to link my order. He didn't believe me so he asked someone about it, and when and I mentioned I have done this before, he shot me the rudest look, held up his hand at me, and loudly & rudely said "WAIT!!" I was just trying to help with my comment, but he was so rude. I should've left right then and had someone else help me. Was at the store at 9:55am on Dec 10 and was surprised to find it didn't open till 10am based on the parking lot. Doors were locked and while I waited in the freezing cold, I didn't mind till I watched an employee walk out to her car in a front parking spot, pull out some packages, and enter a code to re-enter the store. 5 years ago I would've punched myself in the crotch for writing Nordstrom Rack a 3 star review... My Oh My, how the times have changed. A. Where did the stellar shoe selection go? Mostly duds, PLUS it looks like they stopped trying to do any kind of organization 5 years ago. B. Designer denim selection: I scoff at you. ::Scoff:: (and I capitalized it so you KNOW I meant it) C. Why is everything a size large or bigger? No more mid sizes? Lame-O, Rackers. D. I don't understand why half the things don't have tags. What gives? Is it some sorta You-Call-It special? 'Cause I'd be down with that... might even consider the extra star. On the up side, they move that long ass line A LOT faster than you'd expect. Aaand there's a few good deal to be had, too... The store has convenient parking and it's generally more expensive than Marshalls but comparable to Bloomingdales. They have an excellent selection of men's shoes and sport jackets. A bit pricey but you'll spot the quality - no doubt. Today, I did something very uncharacteristic and that is - I misplaced my IPhone while shopping. It happened in an instant and I started to panic - I was thinking of security breaches and the cost of replacement ($700) and the darn inconvenience of losing a phone. I got frantic and started asking complete strangers to help me but at the same time looking to see if they would flinch in a guilty way, even just a little. I finally got to the manager and gave my business card. I waited patiently and they found my phone!!! Mind you, I've turned in 4 phones, 3 wallets, a purse, a back pack etc. and guess what - it was my turn. I asked who turned it in and the guy came out from the back and his name was Leo, I gave him a heartfelt thank you and he tried to brush off my gift but no can do. So there you have it, great stuff and great people with a whole lot of integrity at this store. I can hardly wait to come back soon. read more

Went in tonight at 7:50. Rudest security guy at the door. 50-ish, balding, glasses, under 5'. After he let me know most certainly that the store is almost closed, I explained I wouldn't have even come in if I had known they were closing at 8. I had pulled up the store on maps on my iPhone to check the hours before heading over....but the hours are clearly listed as open until 9pm. He said I was incorrect, it wasn't posted that way. And when I showed him the online hours he claimed that wasn't the correct location (oh sure, it's the OTHER Rack in Schaumburg!). See pic below. And he also said that if it was the location, they (the rack) are not responsible for what's online. Um, yes you are and you do have access to correct these things. By no means was I trying to get them to stay open past 8, I left in 10 min. Store Review: Nordstrom with a discount. This place is always bustling with customers with a wealth of shoes, women clothes, and a smaller men section. The prices are definitely cheaper than the Nordstrom located in woodfield however most of the savings are closer to 40-50% off than 70+% off. The women section is larger than the mens. I can't figure out why the men's section has mostly sportwear and dress shirts. The shoes are a bargain if you find a certain color tag that coincides with the recent sales. The prices aren't different if that is what you believe. They are pretty much the same. This specific location looked more like a marshals on the inside. So many deals! Men's area doesn't have much, but for what it does have, I tend to find things. Every time I've been out here I've purchased something. Usually shoes, jackets, slacks and most recently a new fedora hat. This hat carried a regular cost of $45 dollars but on clearance it went for $9.99 ! Woot! If you, like, me, love Cole Haan drivers, you need to stop into this shop. On this most recent expedition, I saw a few full length wool coats but unfortunately they weren't my size. Woe is me. The Good: *Large selection of mens shoes in size 14+ - a godsend for my large footed husband. *If you can deal with the chaotic shoe section, there are deals to be had *Once, and ONLY once I scored a killer deal - on a Burberry raincoat ($104) The Bad: *Most of the brands are has-been shit. Juicy Couture? Really? Bring on some Ed Hardy while you're at it. *Most of the items are at the Rack because they didn't sell at regular Nordstrom...because they are fashion disasters. *You have to really check items over. Because this store is total chaos, damage & make up stains are common. The Ugly: *Don't kid yourselves, this is nothing like Nordstrom. It's a TJ Maxx with better marketing. I'd never been to a Nordstrom Rack...until last weekend. Friends were visiting from out-of-town and asked if we could stop here. Sure! The 'Rack' resembles a T.J. Maxx, Marshall's, etc.. Much more pricey, but they carry more luxurious name brands; Burberry, Seven for All Mankind, Marc Jacobs and more. The shoe section was absolutely horrendous. I've never seen anything so unorganized in my life; my OCD hopes I subject myself to such a disaster ever again. It looked as though a dump truck threw-up shoes all over the place. I was a sea of mess more than it was a 'shoe' department. No rhyme or reason to anything. Won't be back. Far better deals elsewhere and I'm not into upscale name brands anyway. read more

I loved my recent visit (2 days ago) to this location. I haven't been here in over a year. I don't know what's been going on, but I had a wonderful shopping experience! The last time I visited (over a year ago) the place smelled like mildew and was chaotic. It is like night and day. It was clean, no mildew or musty smells, no chaos and a security guard up front. I chose several items and came up front to pay. My cashier was wonderful! She was smiling and friendly and once again asked me about the phone app to try to help me save money. The discount is only good one time, so I let her know I had just signed up at your other location. I was having a rough day and decided to treat myself. She really helped cheer me up. I left with a smile on my face and absolutely LOVE my items. Thanks for a great shopping experience Nordstrom Rack! You've really got it together at this location. If you want Nordstrom style at JC Penny prices, shop at Nordstrom Rack. The selection is not as good as regular Nordstrom for some things, like bras, but in other areas like shoes and outerwear, you still have numerous options and great bargains. The staff is also not quite as awesome as at regular Nordstrom, but they're still very helpful. You will also find fewer fitting rooms, no mothers' lounge, no restaurant, etc. This is DISCOUNT Nordstrom, after all. You will, however, find all or most of the same brands, sizes, and styles in addition a handful of cheaper items purchases just for the outlet, PLUS some items that may have previously been online-only merchandise. Tips: --Be sure to go to the back counter and pick up your shoe's mate BEFORE proceeding to the register to spare yourself and others some time, unless you're buying kids' shoes, which are secured together. --You do not have to wait in the long line at the register to pay. If you pay by credit, there are several staff members throughout the store who can check you out as well. --They get daily shipments in the morning, so go early for the best selection. --The newest items are usually along the walkways. If you want strictly seasonal items, do not bother digging deep into the store. If you want the steepest discounts, though, do not start at the edges. Example: in early August, they added fall booties marked down from $85 to $65 and have them prominently displayed. In late September, they will probably be down to $50 or even $40 and mixed in with leftover summer sandals and flats (but they may be out of your size by then, so shop wisely). --Keep your tags and receipts! They have a liberal return policy. --If you are a member of their rewards program, keep an eye open for double points days/weekends. I don't mean to put the Rack on blast, but over the past few years, this location has seen some changes. Sure, if you have the time and energy to sift through the racks, you may come out with a big score. I recently scored a pretty Halston Heritage cocktail dress for $50. Now that's a deal. However, I often find that the racks at the Rack aren't filled with equally amazing deals. Designer denim will still run you $80-$120, high end brand name dresses are often 30-40% off and the shoe selection here is pretty subpar (especially in a size 8 for some reason - likely the most shopped for size, I imagine). But what really makes me drop a star at this Rack is the baby section. Not only is the baby section incredibly small and limited, but it's also severely overpriced. I understand that there is a market for knit Burberry onesies that cost $150 retail, $70 NR price. However, I really don't think that market is Schaumburg. Same goes with the Juicy baby gear. Not my personal fave, as baby W doesn't need a $65 outfit (on sale) emblazoned with Juicy all over it. Overall, I do enjoy a trip to the Rack, but I'm not finding the same deals I used to. read more

Do you love Nordstrom? Well, then you should love Nordstrom Rack! I believe that I alone could keep this place in business. So when I purchase about 75% of my clothing from a business, can I really give them anything below 4 stars? Probably not. It just wouldn't make sense. I mean, it would be nice if they could have two racks personalized for lil ol' me based on my past purchases. Is that too much to ask? I think I deserve it. The main portion of the store is divided into four quadrants, all dedicated to women, and one of the quadrants are all clearance items. So basically, a sale on top of a discounted price. I've scored tons of tops for around 10 bucks, dresses under 100, and some pants for around 20 bucks. Score! Around these four main quadrants, they have a jewelery and purse section, baby & children, men's, shoes, panties & pajamas, perfume, accessories...pretty much anything you need for yourself or a gift. And the men's section is large enough to drag along your boo. He can pick out some dress shirts, ties, shorts, or even colorful Micheal Kors and/or Calvin Klein boxer briefs while you do some damage. ;) While shopping at Nordstrom across the street, somehow the girls convinced me that I looked great in these nearly $200 Paige jeans, and, well, let's be honest, I probably did! But nonetheless, this girl did not need to pay $200 on one article of clothing in an attempt to look good! Nordstrom Rack has designer jeans at half the cost! An entire rack is dedicated to Paige, and you can bet your bottom dollar that once I was home and able to think clearly I decided to return the full price ones from Nordstrom, and I went to buy a couple of pairs from The Rack instead. I'm a big Micheal Kors fan and I can always count on Nordstrom Rack to provide. When it comes to Burberry, the selection is usually pretty slim, and still pricey, even if it is marked down. There are tons of other designer brands to search through: Vince Camuto, Joe's, Juicy Couture, Marc Jacobs, BCBG, etc. The Rack is a great spot to pick up any kind of jacket really. Rain coat, vest, leather jacket, winter down, fleece. You can find a stylish coat, designer brand even, at a great price. Why bother paying full price elsewhere? And next to the coat section, in the same quadrant, is fashionable work out clothes. I've probably bought too many work out outfits here, but a girl needs something cute to wear in order to motivate her to work out! If you are paying with a credit card, they have attempted to make it easier to check out by being able to pay out with ladies around the store. Has it made it easier? I'm not sure, but at least it's another option. Speaking of cards, with the Nordstrom credit cards you earn points with every dollar you spend. During special events and sales, you may also earn double or triple points on the dollar. For every 2000 points you earn, you receive a $20 gift certificate. You also are able to receive up to $100 in free alterations per year, which is a nice perk. You may pay off your credit card at either stores with cash, which makes it convenient, as well. As for the bathrooms...they could use some updating, and Mr. Clean to zoom on through, but we're here to shop, not pop a squat, right? If you're in a pinch for a last minute top, skirt, dress, jewelery, gift, then I recommend going to Nordstrom Rack, rather than hitting up numerous stores in search of one thing. You may have to search through racks of clothes, but you're bound to find a few things you like at a decent price. And if by chance you don't, it's a good excuse to hit up HomeGoods in the same strip! read more

I do have one gripe, though, which is part of my own psyche more than a flaw of the store: the shoe section gives me the heebee-geebees. I mean, I LOVE shoes as anyone who knows me knows, but that disorganzed section makes me anxious and everytime I attempt to find myself a pair, I get overwhelmed and just walk away.
