I bought a couple of t-shirts from Dry Goods about 2 weeks ago. I've worn each one and washed them according to directions. They all have holes in them after only one wash. I looked it up and apparently if cheap cotton is used this can happen. I spent around $40/item so I expected to get more than one wear out of them. I e-mailed the company and they just said, "Sorry! You washed them so there is nothing we can do." I'd definitely spend your money elsewhere if you want clothes that last more than a few minutes. read more

Hmm...this store has changed. I used to find lots of options here as far as work appropriate clothes (i.e. casual but nice). Now they're really going the way of "crop tops and babydoll dresses for everyone!" I noticed the branding is no longer "Dry Goods by Von Maur" but rather "Dry Goods USA"...did they change ownership? This store has some very pretty and unique items from small to larger sizes, juniors sizing. But what really makes it appealing are some specialty items, like their section on Illinois logos merchandise. These make great gifts for family or friends who live out-of-state. There's cute items in the sale room in back and the dressing room area is typically kept pretty tidy, even on a busy Saturday or Black Friday. I also find the sales associates here very friendly and helpful and appreciate their suggestions for items, when I've asked. The store is well lit with a nice layout inside and cute items in the storefront windows. This makes it a very inviting and pleasant place to shop and I usually find it hard to walk by without stopping in to see what the latest merchandise is. read more

This store is amazing! The store is clean and bright. It has a lot of interesting stuffs inside. If you wanted trendy clothes then you should visit them. They have a variety of women's clothing. On my recent visit. I love their selection of tops, printed and trendy t-shirts and more. The clothes have a nice fabric and are all in great quality. I actually purchased a few and now I love to wear them all. Prices are also fair and reasonable. They have selection of jewelries like necklace and rings with wonderful designs. There are also other accessories and most of them are lovely. I just did not spend much but I will surely be back next time. Highly recommended! read more

I bought a jean jacket for my daughter during the Black Friday sales. She needed a different size so we went to the store today with the original receipt for an exchange. This is an even exchange, as we were looking for the exact same item in a different size. However the sales associate told us it would cost $22.00 more because we bought the jacket during a Black Friday sale. I paid it since my daughter really likes the jacket, but it seemed wrong on every level. So I got home and visited the website to see if there was any fine print about this ridiculous policy and there isn't. There is a policy that talks about price adjustments if something becomes cheaper but nothing that says if you buy something on sale and present the original receipt for an exchange, they have the right to charge you MORE for the same item. I called customer service who absolutely wouldn't help and instead transferred my call to a random store somewhere in America. The store worker at the random store had zero idea what I was talking about, so I finally gave up on the phone and emailed customer service. I was told that an "even exchange" would be the same size for the same size (exactly WHO exchanges one size for the same item of the same size?) so technically that exchange wasn't an "even exchange" and they get to keep my $22. No, it's not a lot of money, but it's an absurd practice and absolutely no where is that listed as part of any policy. I won't be back, and I spent a considerable amount of money there this year as I have more than one teenaged daughter. I liked the merchandise, but I'm not going to get punished again for guessing a size wrong. Terrible. read more

Dry Goods is a fantastic store to browse through. I love the styles they showcase and sell. For me, I'm always drawn to the more hippy/chic options and this store is great for that. The best thing about Dry Goods, though, is probably their clearance room. As I mentioned in other reviews, I'm a clearance shopper. I'll happily buy cheap out of season things at nice prices than spend full price during the correct season. Their clearance room is large and organized well. I always end up finding something cute to try on and/or purchase while shopping through their discounted merch! The only problem with it is that the clothing racks (double stacked) can make my arms hurt, because of endlessly browsing the top clothing rack! This is located in Woodfield Mall, so there's plenty of parking, food options and other shops you can visit while on your quest to visit Dry Goods. It's 100% worth it. read more

This store is amazing! Dry Goods is one of the most visited and great store inside the Woodfield Mall. Their place is always clean, nice, and organized. You will really feel welcome once you enter, their staff will also greet you, and show you a big smile. All of them are so decent, kind, and friendly. They all know how to treat all of their customers so well. They are so personable. Outstanding customer service. Really love the items of this store, they have many different styles of clothing, and also all of it has a decent and fair price. Very interesting place. Perfect for girls who really love to shopping and buy some quality items. So many elegant and unique items. This store is one of my most visited place when I am here in Woodfield Mall. I really enjoy the amazing clothing styles of this Dry Goods and their prices are so awesome. The staff here are so helpful, hard-working, and decent. They will guide and assist you when you need to use their fitting room. All of them are so patient, calm, and professional. The customer service is extremely amazing. They all really want to interact with all of their customers. You can also find some great deals at this place, like discounts, promos, and even sale items. Love it here! Everything is so soft and comfy, it is a little pricey however the clothing is quality and worth every penny. Bought a beautiful glitter wrap dress ,comfy fuzzy socks, a beautiful warm sweater, and some of the softest pajamas ever! Also love the bralettes very comfortable and a variety of colors and sizes bought one in each color. Going back for the mittens and beanies next visit. I actually went to the Orland Park location but I'm sure the locations are just about the same. The store has a very boutique-y feel (think Francesca's with more open space) and the prices on most of their clothing is very reasonable. This is a great store to go to if your looking for unique pieces. What I really loved was the clearance section. They have some really amazing sales (at least when I went). I got a loose dressy tank for $7 and a statement necklace for $5. Considering the tank was about $30 regular price and the necklace around $20, these prices are steals. All the sales people were very friendly and attentive. It's a real shame that they do not have any locations in the city because I would be a frequent customer. read more

This store is actually pretty cute and has a great staff. But unfortunately today I had a very unpleasant experience. I was shopping with my friends and trying things in the dressing rooms. My friend threw me a skirt to my dressing room but I forgot to try it on and accidentally left it in the dressing room. When I gave back the woman the items I didn't want, I guess she didn't notice the skirt in the pile. Then she got extremely mad at me and told me if I pulled that again I will be banned from the store. I felt so unsafe and so angry because I was getting blamed for something I never did. I simply just forgot the skirt in the dressing room. My friends and I laughed off the misunderstanding though and usually the store is full of positive​ people, maybe that woman was having a bad day. ​ read more

First time I stop by this store in Old Orchard Skokie. Wow!! I'm impress on the material clothing very unique style. One of the sales( Ally) I think her name greeted me very friendly with a warm smile:-) of welcome! such a good customer service. all the sales who work on the floor are not pushy. they were very helpful. This was my first time in here and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted right away. They have a lot of unique clothing at decent prices. If you go to the back of the store you can enter a "Sale" room. It is by far the most organized and neatest sale section I have ever seen in a clothing store! Everything is categorized by size. Once you find your size it's all categorized by color and article of clothing. The sale section actually has awesome stuff! Ariana was the girl that started a fitting room for me. They write your name on the door while you're in there. She was very friendly and helped me out when i needed it and left me alone while browsing. She also helped me find boot cuffs and leg warmers to go under my boots. I haven't been able to find this type anywhere else. The cashier was also equally friendly and when I was finished paying she walked out from behind the counter and personally placed the bag in my hands as she thanked me.
