GAME OF KETONES
Drew W.

I ordered the Game of Ketones salad with green onion and hummus and it was delicious! Definitely a little overpriced for a salad, but sometime I'd consider getting again regardless. The steak was cooked perfectly and the added hummus tied everything together. It was made quickly and didn't take long for the delivery to get to me, which was nice because I know how busy the place can get.

BUILD YOUR OWN WARM BOWL

Evergreens is a very basic salad/bowl restaurant and I appreciate that they let you mark that you want your bowl to be Vegan. Some of us were missing our dressings and nobody received the bread they ordered. We ordered delivery during a busy lunch period which may have something to do with the quality.

Build Your Own

I've ordered salads from here multiple times before via food delivery, but this is the first time I've come to order in-person. It was a very quick step-by-step process of choosing which ingredients you'd want included in your salad. I built my own salad and loved the toppings that were available. The dijon balsamic dressing never fails me. Overall, I came out with a very hearty salad that kept me full for a whole meal. The bread was also tasty, not too dry and not too heavy.

You go up to the counter and select your entree of choice: sandwich (bánh mì), rice bowl, salad, vermicelli bowl (bún), or a half& half for $10-$13. They had the essential meats - grilled pork (thít nướng), chicken (gà nướng), beef, or tofu or pork belly (not typical of traditional Viet banh mi shops) and the option to add an egg. They also offer special plates like spring rolls, rice place, noodles, garlic shrimp, and drinks. The selection of veggie fillings you can add is much more than traditionally offered at a traditional shop, which was fun for me. You can add the traditional (pickled veggies, cucumber, jalapeno, cilantro, soy sauce, mayo) or add lettuce, radish, corn, tomatoes, and more I can't remember and different sauces. So that makes this a fun spin on the traditional and you can make it your way. We went with a more traditional mix of grilled pork and veggies to test it out. Overall solid with tasty meat. If I remember correctly bread was vietnamese style, although I think a little more softer and less buttery. If I was in the area, I wouldn't mind coming back and trying out different combinations of fillings for fun. Price is standard for a banh mi, is cheaper than other food options in the area by about $5 while being flavorful and filling, and is quick and efficient to order at. Plus, if you are at the mall or staying at the hotel or apartments nearby, it's very walkable and feels like a safe area.

I was in Bellevue and saw that Sizzle & Crunch wasn't too far away from where I was and what I saw online looked good. Where the restaurant is located the parking is in a paid underground lot. I followed the signage that pertains to the restaurant parking but didn't find anything free. But since I was just diving in for a quick snack the bill for parking was very cheap and inexpensive. The restaurant itself has a lot of choices if you are looking for a more involved or actual meal but what I was looking for was a spring roll to munch on so with that in mind I bypassed all the process there . I got a Spring Roll with tofu on top. It was very good and quite fresh tasting. The roll was about average size as far as Spring Rolls go but after eating one I realized I could have had another. But I had to skedaddle and get over to Redmond so alas that didn't happen. Still I'd keep this place in mind again as my quick snack was satisfying and the service was very efficient!

The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!

Docking off one star just because the price was pretty steep for the portion, but otherwise was a nice spot.

I was greeted by a very friendly hostess who explained that to-go orders are normally placed online, but she happily got the manager to help me. He was incredibly helpful and made the ordering process easy. The food was really good! I ordered the jackfruit tacos with rice and beans, along with the guacamole sampler. I didn't realize beforehand that it was more Tex-Mex style, so that was a little different than I expected. The guacamole itself was good, but I'm personally not a fan of cheese and some of the additional toppings mixed into guacamole, so it just wasn't my preference. That doesn't mean it wasn't good. It just wasn't for me. The jackfruit tacos, however, were fantastic. I absolutely love jackfruit, and these were some of the best I've had other than the ones I make.
