Even though my doctor is in the Jefferson Park Professional Building and there's a pharmacy in the same complex. I took a chance and went across the street to Evergreen Rx due to the rude service received previously from this pharmacy (I forgot the name). Yvonne and Leo (owner/pharmacist) are the most pleasant people you can hope to deal with. They take pride in their profession and ultimate care of their patients; even if it's a low cost prescription. Service was expedient with little wait time and consultation was thorough. I will never go to a major chain or the pharmacy across the street again. Remember; it's the patient's choice and discretion where you want to have prescription filled. Doctors might hint or suggest to have it fill for convenience with a pharmacy in the same complex but from my experience, it's worthwhile to go across the street. read more

If you are able to to switch over to this pharmacy, then you absolutely should and you won't regret it. They go above and beyond for every customer they have. I had so many problems with affording my medication and they did everything they possibly could to accommodate me. This is the best pharmacy I have ever used. Evergreen has been my pharmacy for a few years now because of their excellent service and knowledge. They always call or text me when it is time for a refill. I never have to worry about running out of any of my medications because they are on top of it. They know my needs. If a customer needs a medication and he or she doesn't have coverage they will will beat or match any price of any other pharmacy. Yvonne and Leo are the pharmacists here and are both very knowledgeable and helpful when it questions about medicine. This pharmacy is the BEST! They carried a prescription that was always hard for me to find, and they called ME, asking if they could fill it monthly for me!! They are owned by a couple, and they know you by name after one visit. I had ALL of my prescriptions transferred to them, and when I went to pickup, they had called the manufacturer of one of my prescriptions, and got me zero $ copay! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY THE SUPPOSED TOP PHARMACIST (YVONNE) THAT SUPPOSEDLY RUNS THIS PHARMACY!!! I have always had such pleasant experiences with the gentlemen that work in here, but unfortunately I had to deal with THIS BITCHY THING today!!! There was a problem with my ins., covering the RX and I told her I would pay cash and contact my insurance tomorrow (Since they were closing and I didn't want to hold her up with a lengthy phone call) and she agreed that if my ins fixed it, she would re-run it the next day and I could get a refund (JUST AS EVERY OTHER PHARMACY WILL DO WITHIN ABOUT 14 DAYS!) Then when I realized that it was the wrong brand, the OTHER VERY NICE MALE pharmacist had set aside the brand that works better for me, SHE BEGAN STOMPING AROUND LIKE A BRATTY TEENAGER THAT HAD JUST BEEN TOLD "NO"!!! She got on the phone and was bitching out the other guy IN FRONT OF ME, HUFFING AND PUFFING (TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE AND UNCOMFORTABLE!!!)...then told me to take my RX somewhere else because she wasn't going to re-bill the ins for me after all! I'm guessing that she didn't want me to have that brand for the cash price I had paid because she kept bitching to him that I had to pay "Cash"! IT WAS EVIDENT she DID NOT want to give me the ones he had put aside for me...no customer should have to deal with people who are supposed to be medical PROFESSIONALS that act like spoiled children! This is the most helpful and friendly pharmacy i have ever used. They always answer questions and send reminders and never seem put out when you ask the same thing over and over. I am very grateful to them for how well they manage my families medications. They are also so fast! You turn in a prescription and it is ready usually within 5 minutes.
