Backstory: we recently added a digital lock on our side door. That lock was difficult to rekey, so we rekeyed out front door to match. So, we needed new house keys. The Universe has a perverse sense of humor and our problems started. I had a "vanity" key pattern I really liked. I found something close. Got it cut at Lowes. It worked in the new side door lock but not the front door. Then we discovered that one of the keys that came with the new lock also didn't work in the front door. I ordered a keyblank like the one I prefer. We tried a (different) locksmith in Everett. He cut the key, it didn't work, he declared the blank "junk" and said "throw it away. He cut me an aluminum key; half of the teeth were missing. We also had a lot of communication problems. We tried another Everett locksmith who claimed they had a blank like I wanted in stock. They didn't. I was frustrated. Today we tried Everett Lock and Safe. They: recut and filed the two almost-working keys to work in the front door AND cut me two working keys with the blanks I like. Extra points for no communication issues. If we need a locksmith or to have another key cut, this is where we will go! 10 stars! read more

This is an impressive shop. Probably much bigger than most. Knowledgeable staff. These folks were literally safe and lock nerds. Price was slightly lower than all the others. The store has some actual safes on display and sale. Walking into the you cant help but be impressed by the wall of keys they have. I had to have a fob and key duplicated it was a tricky match from what a few other shops told me but they matter of fact ordered the right part, cut it and duplicated it. I was a bit unsure going in but when they finished duplicating I was sure everything worked even before I tested it. These folks are real professionals! read more

This is the place to go for quick service and honest prices. I wanted a copy of my car's emergency key and started by going to a nearby location where I found out that not everyone can make them, for a variety of reasons. But I got a strong recommendation for a private company here in Marysville. Again, no success but Anna sent me to Everett Safe & Lock and that is where I would recommend anyone go if they live in Everett or even nearby. terrible attitude and new staff as old owners retired. Brought an ignition switch in to have the lock picked because the vehicles keys were lost. The past owners would have had no problems with similar issues with old owners under the same circumstances but this person spent over 3 hours while I waited (his estimate was 1/2 hr to an hour), and after waving me in from my car (as I waited), he tells me it is a broken item? I stated "it was not broken when I brought it in?" To which he rudely said if I did not want an explanation (for what I thought), then I could just leave. I stated I did business there for years but I would never return with that attitude and he said good so I left. I found another locksmith the next day who was able to pick it and cut 2 keys for and the ignition still works after reinstalling it and he accomplished it in a half hour. Excellent Customer Service! I had an issue with a car ignition key. It was a copy (never used before) and it was tight going into both the door and ignition. The issue was once in the ignition, the key would not turn to the LOCK position to shut the car off auxiliary and pull out the key. The man was having difficulty--it was VERY stuck, and I was dreading replacing the ignition. It was an unexpected turn of events that the older woman I had been chatting with about grandkids while the man was in my car, stepped up to the plate when he was having trouble. She saw him come in the third time and she casually said "I'll Do It!" --she took his tools and took over the job. In my mind, my jaw dropped! All that was needed (she said) was a "woman's touch"!! It took a couple more times wrestling with the key in and out, I think she recut to factory specs because I did not have the original with me--then finally SUCCESS! Key slides in and out like a champ and I can shut off my car again!! -- I asked what I owed for the time spent--No Charge!! Wow! Everett Safe and Lock is EXCELLENT! -- And to the woman who saved my day and my wallet -- THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!! It's sad you missed the birth of your grand-baby due to Covid restrictions, but you're making up for it now! I will be referring your company and no one else. Thanks to you both. There are a few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted that it blows your mind. This is not a location like that. You will probably never experience a good meal here, but you shouldn't expect to. Expect very knowledgeable staff, quick work, and great help! These guys are good and really seem to know their stuff. I came in a couple times after I bought a hundred year-old house that had doors with locks/knobs a little different from what you can buy in the store. I was trying to change out all the locks and didn't have all the know-how myself. I talked to them and made some inquiries and they saved me a lot of money by sending me back home and rekeying some old equipment rather than replacing it as I requested initially. They told me it would be much cheaper and easier to go that route, though they could get me what I asked for if I really wanted it. This is the only place I will go to copy keys! I first visited with a broken off key extracted from and ignition of a vehicle I bought, only key. They were able to match the key and cut copies from the computer, inserted into ignition and rig started! Recently bought a locking mailbox, called and gave then the key blank number from online to see if they could help. Blank did not cross reference, they asked the make of the mailbox, stated they had the required blanks. Made copies for half the cost of online. Support your local business and pay less?!? WIN!!! Lost my only key for my 91 Legend. Took out the door lock cylinder for them to cut me a key. 1 in 5 chances it will work for the ignition. Cut it by hand. Came home, turned the key and started my car. Big thanks to these guys. Definitely recommend them for all key/lock needs! read more

We are in vacation in California and our house sitter accidentally got locked out. I called these guys and within 15m they had a guy out to not only lock pick the door but change the door knob lock to match deadbolt lock. The best part is that it was very very cheap. Pretty much it's a good place to go to if you need anything that has to do with a key or lock. I have had several keys made here and the service is always excellent and fast. I needed a key made for my recently purchased bike rack. I walked in and the guy that greeted me was professional and had a great personality. He couldn't find a key right away since this was an older unique lock. I left the snorkel and was contacted within a few hours to let me know he had found a key. When picking up the bike rack, he let me know that the lock was frozen and had a tough time getting it fixed. The cost was a bit more than what I expected, but the service was well worth it. Need keys cut? The only place to go is Everett Safe and Lock. We quit using Lowes and Home Depot years ago because whatever price break we got from using them was balanced out by the fact their keys didn't work. Not much of a balance! I have an old Sentry Safe with a lost key that can be replaced by calling Sentry and using the lock code stamped on the lock for $25 bucks and hope the shipped keys actually work. Everett Safe can do the same thing for about $14 and I don't have to wait for the mail and hope Sentry picked out the proper key.. Some postings complained of the higher prices that Everett Safe charged but I can show them a hat full of Lowes and HD keys that never did work.. read more

If you have extra money laying around and don't mind giving it to Everett Lock and Safe, then by all means pay them a visit. I went there to purchase a safe. The price seemed high and I really got the feeling that I was being manipulated (just a gut feeling). So I left and did some research. The price they had marked on the 2 safes that I looked at was $125 over the manufacturer's suggested retail price. BUT they were willing to knock $100 off. This still left them $25 over the suggested retail price and WAY over similar products on the internet. So I called them and told them what I had found and explained that I really wanted to buy from a local company but would not pay more than the suggested retail price. They didn't care - the price is the price. I will not darken their door ever again. read more

I explained in detail the situation, offered to show the building title in my name and he basically blew me off, maybe it was my backwards baseball cap and basketball shorts but I think we all know not to judge a book by it's cover! We thought we were calling this company but instead, we called 24/7 locksmith by mistake. Was it ever a mistake. They list their address as 5231 Evergreen Way Ste. 3 and their phone number as 425-441-3342. Well, their tech put such a large hole in our front door there was a large gap of space after he put the new bolt lock in. It went downhill from there. The key holes were one up the other down, the plates that are attached to the door side missing and one lock the screws were put in so bad the lock wouldn't work. Come to find out they have never been located at that address. It's Harbor Freight and HF has been there for 20 years. Plus their real name is Elite Tech Services LL. We have contacted our credit card company and they are giving back our money and starting an investigation. We have also contacted the Attorney General. Now to the Good part. We went to the office of Everett Safe & Lock. Explained our misfortune and they came to our home and fixed the botched job we were left with from 24/7 locksmith (aka Elite Tech Services LL ). It looks better than before and they also made one key fit each (5) deadbolts. They also straighten out the way the keys go into the locks. and fixed all locks so everything works like it should. I was COMPLETELY disappointed in this company. I used them because of the good reviews. My car was stolen with my purse and mail key inside. I called Everett Safe & Lock to see how much it would be to rekey my mailbox. They told me that mailbox locks are flimsy, so they would actually just replace the lock instead, they told me the lock would be $18, $13 to come out, and actually replacing the lock would be $22. So $53 total, which after some research I found would be cheaper than replacing the mailbox. So my boyfriend called and scheduled them to come out. They came and looked at the mailbox, which is at the end of the street, then came to the house and told my boyfriend that they weren't able to make new keys for it, which wasn't what they were supposed to be doing, that they couldn't replace the lock, but they were able to open it. So, they didn't do anything they were supposed to do except open the mailbox, which we can't close now, and they told him for that they had to charge him $65.11 after tax! FOR NOTHING! For more than they told me actually replacing the lock would be. So after paying the tech, he called the office, and they told him that I must've talked to another company (called me a liar basically) because they've never had $13 service calls... So either they're a bunch of crooks! Or the person I talked to last week didn't know a damn thing. I called back the number I called on Friday, which is the number on their website, which is the number for their business. They cheated us out of our money for doing nothing, and they don't care about upsetting their customers. Don't waste your time or money, this company is terrible. read more
