I am a 61 year old woman living in a homeless shelter. The only thing keeping me from being on the streets is my little Suzuki Swift. It's a 1994 and I had been living and sleeping in it until I found the gospel women's mission in Monroe. I looked through locksmiths in Monroe Washington and Elite popped up so I gave them a call. A Gentleman answered the phone and I told him about my situation and that I couldn't find my car keys. Then I asked him to please tell me what they charged to make a key? He put me on hold for about 5 minutes and then a lady picked up the phone and said, "Thank you for calling Elite locksmiths how can I help you?"Your. I thought the gentleman would come back on the phone. The way she answered it was like she knew nothing about my question. So I told her the same thing I told the man. That I only had $100 and that I needed to have a key made for my car. Her voice sounded kind of like the waitress at Earl's Diner. Like she was smacking on her gum saying, "what can I get you sweetie ?"...you know the kind of woman I'm talking about. Not only was she very rude.. she wouldn't let me finish my sentences. I was trying to tell her that my car has been vandalized and that the window had been pulled off track and was pressing down on the lock on the passenger door. I told you this because the only way she can make a key for me was for me to bring in the lock. I was trying to tell her why I can't do that. As soon as I started telling her when it happened she cut me off saying I don't need to hear your story sweetie it's a hundred and thirty bucks for this and another 50 for that and blah blah blah and I hung up. I know people have businesses because they need to make money. I totally get that. Every now and then though it never hurts to cut a stranger a favor or a deal. I've never used this company and I never will. Locksmiths make good money. It would have not heard their business one bit if she could have given me a discount. Imagine the man didn't know what to say to me or how to treat me, so he passed me off to Fran or whatever the hell her name was. She needs to go read a book on customer service and while she's at it she could probably pick up a new heart...I hear they're on sale at Walmart. read more

Phenominal locksmith. I needed a key for my Suzuki Motorcycle. Other locksmiths and bike dealers told me they needed to order a key from Suzuki and it would be $30 or more plus a two week wait. Elite had the correct key right on their wall. They cut two of them for me. Aftwerwords, they walked out to my motorcycle with me to test both keys and lubricate every one of the locks on my bike! After purchasing a home, we needed to have it re-keyed. We'd had some problems with the previous owner (foreclosure situation) and needed to make sure the house was secure asap, but it was a weekend and no one was open. Elite offers 24 hour service, albeit with a premium charge, and they came out to help us on a Saturday afternoon. Fortunately, all of the locks in our house, except one door, were the same brand. This made re-keying easier. We did have to replace that one door handle so that it could match, but Kevin (the owner) had all the parts in his truck. Kevin worked very quickly and got everything done within the time frame and estimate they'd provided over the phone (just under $500 to re-key 10 doors and replace one door handle). I would have given him five stars, however, two of the plates that the deadbolts lock into were slightly off center and needed to be adjusted after the fact in order to lock smoothly. However, that is minor and was easily corrected. I would absolutely call these guys again for any locksmith needs, and I would refer them to anyone I knew. They were very friendly, knowledgable, helpful and fast. Also, they took the time to chat with us before leaving and tell us about the area since we had just moved in...even giving us a couple of great restaurant recommendations and putting us in touch with a roofer. These guys are great! I have had keys cut, locks re-keyed, and bought a microvault safe here, and everytime I go in the door, I feel welcome and that my business is important. I can't recommend them highly enough. I recently bought one of those micro vaults and it failed after a couple of weeks. I called the manufacturer and they said it would be 5 weeks to get a new one so they recommended that I take it back to the store. I took it in and Denise made it right and replaced the microvault. We have a hard to get desk with a broken lock. Someone tried to modify the lock however it did not work with this desk. Well Elite was called and first and foremost the receptionist who answered was fantastic. Second of all-he came out that very same day and fixed the whole problem. These guys know how to fix locks. The battery died on my daughter's Chevrolet Impala and the key would not turn in the door lock. We called AAA and they were able to get the door opened. With the door open I was able to remove the lock cylinder from the car door and brought it to Elite. The folks at Elite were able to figure out that the grooves on the key had worn down and this was preventing the lock from working properly. They were able to get the key code from the dealership and cut me a replacement key. I reassembled the door and the new key works in the door and ignition. I'd definitely go back when I need locksmith services again. read more

I have a large safe that I needed moved. I started calling moving companies and most of them said it was too heavy for them to handle, and ones that were willing quoted me a ridiculous sum to move my safe about 20 miles. So then I called a few local lock and safe businesses. Elite Lock & Safe gave me by far the best quote. I believe they were able to give me a reasonable price because they took the time to get specific details about my move - they looked up exact dimensions and weight of my model safe, and asked about accessibility and amount of maneuvering required. I swear some of the other companies just quoted me a worst case scenario price, as if they assumed they were taking it up a flight of stairs or something. Anyways, Elite showed up on time and well prepared, and moved my safe in a professional manner. One of the movers was actually the owner Kevin. He is a heck of a nice guy, a pleasure to do business with. He gave me advice on the best way to mount my safe to a concrete floor, and even gave me a full set of mounting hardware for free. This was a huge help and very much appreciated, especially since he could have tried to convince me to pay him to do the mounting.
