Eureka burger has sentimental value for us so we like coming to the chain. Irvine location is the closest to us and sadly we are always disappointed with service here. Food is always good but we find here to get ignored. It takes forever to get help. Once we get our food, they disappear. We can't even get our drinks refilled. We can't even get our check, it takes 15+ min to get someone's attention. I think we could laterally just get up and leave and no one will notice it. This just didn't happen once or twice, literally more than a handful of times. They give us the excuse on how "slammed" it is but every single time?! You ruin our Eureka memory and never want to go back to the establishment. And getting rid of the rig marmalade burger for most of the week? Bad idea. read more

This is our second stop for restaurant week. My husband was out golfing with his realtors' dogsitter's cousin's dentist so I went solo. My server was beyond amazing. Super duper nice and altruistic. I came here with a bunch of friends to grab a quick drink and bite. It was not too crowded around 3 on a Friday afternoon during happy hour. We had a large group that was able to come in and stand near the bar at a large table. The service was okay because all I ordered was nachos, but it took a while. We went during happy hour and did not realize that adding chicken to the nachos would make the nachos cost 20 instead of 8 dollars. The nachos themselves were very good with beans, cream, chicken, and jalapeños. They were very flavorful and crispy. Overall, there are a lot of drink options and food that is yummy. Unpopular opinion, but honest!! Burgers, fries, and wings are overpriced. Everything on the burger except for the meat itself is under a dollar and it's not made in house. The fries are still relatively cheap potatoes also relatively cheap. So for what it is, it's overpriced. Still doesn't change the fact that I like Eureka. Just genuinely tired of companies, taking advantage of price points, but not considering really upgrading their food to something that can be better. I have a culinary degree. I know things can be better. Service is great ambience is great so you can up charge for those things but then say that. read more

"It's not Big Lots, It's Eureka!" Great burger place right next to UCI. Lots of seating. Great for large groups. Sit inside or on the huge patio with a really cool water/fire pit. All of the food we've tried here is "bussin"! My fav is the Fresno Fig Burger. Get a little fig marmalade, bacon, creamy goat cheese, spicy porter mustard. Oooo that's the winner. The fries are amazing! The service is fast and they have a bunch of beers on draft, full bar too. They have tv screens all over the place, perfect to watch the games. The food: I would say the burger I had was quite average, granted with the 28-day dry age title I was expecting something a bit more impressive. Maybe it was the bread to meat ratio that threw it off for me. Regardless, if you enjoy burgers, it's not a bad choice. Service: Excellent, extremely nice and welcoming staff. This used to be a favorite, but tonight's meal was really poor. We ordered the fish and chips and the waiter said to go with the garlic potatoes instead of fries and that was a mistake. The fish was ok, but not great. The potatoes were a terrible soggy mess that clearly do not pair well with fish n chips. These were not chips and not even close to edible. Just a terrible dish. It is winter. It is freaking cold outside and you insist on having those garage doors wide open. It's 55° and made for a very unpleasant evening. We asked to have them closed but were ignored. Eureka is one of the few fully sit-down non fast food spots in UTC. Our party came just after the lunch rush on a Friday to a mostly empty restaurant and requested outdoor seating. Pretty standard semi-upscale American dining aesthetic. Server was nice and grabbed our waters right after we sat down. Food understandably took a little longer to come out just because of the size of our party (8) and was good, if on the pricier end. Fresno Fig: Tasted like a charcuterie board on a toasted bun in the best way. The fig jam, which I tried right off the bun out of curiosity, is a great blend of tart and sweet. Burger was cooked as requested, and the goat cheese wasn't as melted as specified on the menu and was still mostly in chunk form. However, I will say the sharper flavors of the goat cheese and arugula worked well with the fullness of the meat and fig jam combination. Fries were a little undercooked and underseasoned. Pretty reliable spot, just not a meal I might not be able to justify every time. read more

I have been twice. Burgers are weak at best. Fries are ok and street corn is not really street corn.

We've been to a few Eureka! locations now and always leave full & happy :) Sometimes you just need a fancy restaurant burger & cloth napkins LOL Here is what we had: Cauliflower Bites: bonito flakes, garlic aioli & lemon zest. Mac n' Cheese Balls: beer cheese sauce, Fresno chiles, parmesan & ranch dressing Cowboy Burger: shoestring onion rings, bacon, cheddar & beer bbq sauce. Double Smash Burger: parmesan-crusted brioche, 2 patties, American cheese, house pickles, onion & garlic aioli. Both burgers were 5-Stars, cooked perfectly, even the smash burger was juicy LOL I love appetizers and the Cauliflower Bites were excellent. But the Mac n' Cheese Balls were so good I ordered them instead of fries with my burger LOL Which I think is a great option :) The service was also great; friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. She even brought me a togo cup of lemonade which was awesome! They are located next to UCI in the University Center which is a fairly large shopping center that provides plenty of free parking. Veggie beet Burger with honey glazed cinnamon sweet potato fries-- say that without taking a breath! Probably one of the best vegetarian dishes that's perfectly seasoned and texture combo with crunch. It's not the healthiest of meals-- I can tell you that but it is very filling and just what you need when a beer is a'comin' With the hours they keep it's a good choice any time, any day with hunger in mind-- because they have truffle fries and Mac n cheese balls. Both of which I've tried on two separate days as well as the fried cauliflower-- as any good vegetarian would do. Truffle fries are--- pretty good as far as fries go, rained in by a cloud of shreddy Parmesan with a small collective pool of garlic aioli dripping buttery jazz-- yes. It can be a little much but it's exactly what you and I need right now. Other than their come-back fries the rest are.. not superb speaking as a mostly vegetarian eater. Plenty of options, just none extremely healthy. The Eureka Salad does hit the spot for some lettuce but 'it's too much salt, not enough pepper'. As a brilliant bellhop once said in continuance. The Mac n cheese balls, as much as I wanted to love them and feed into the fatty inner child, these balls will not let me. Not much flavor but cheesy-jalapeño. The cauliflower bites are sprinkled with bonito flakes which-- I'm Switzerland about. But I will say I've had better. Not complaining-- just stating the cauliflower facts. Still unsure about what to give this place but for the wait time and service-- they do deserve better. Eureka! This is a great word for a restaurant because it means "a cry of joy or satisfaction when one discovers something." This restaurant has been on my to go to list for some time because of its location, it's industrial/rustic energy, and the galore of food and drinks. The service was impeccable. We were served by Alissa, who was very aware of the menu, what each dish offers, as well as the difference in tastes between the beers. The food was delicious and nicely presented. My husband and I split two dishes (the ahi dish and double stacked burger) which was delicious and not too heavy. Seemed like they had clean flavors and use quality ingredients.
