I've eaten breakfast (for lunch) at Snooze on several occasions, and I love their blueberry pancakes! I usually order a stack of the blueberry pancakes, chicken patties, and scrambled egg whites. Their chicken sausage is another reason why I enjoy eating breakfast here. I've found that there aren't a whole lot of restaurants near where I live that offer chicken or turkey breakfast meats, only pork. So, it's nice for me that they have that option available. But, let's talk about their blueberry pancakes! Just yum! They each contain so many huge, fresh blueberries, and the pancakes are huge! They used to have an entrée of scrambled egg whites containing crab and asparagus. It doesn't appear they have this on the menu anymore. I enjoyed that dish as well. The service is always fantastic here. Each and every time I've dined here, the servers were all attentive and friendly to the point of asking about your day and/or plans for the rest of the day. I enjoy how personable they are. The ambiance is really cool, with its retro-50s style. I like that. There's seating available inside and out on their patio. I usually arrive after the lunch traffic, so I've never had to wait long to be seated. Now you're asking, why not 5 stars then if everything seems great? Well, when I eat pancakes, I literally drown them in syrup. I believe they give you two (which I believe most normal people typically use), but I always feel bad having to ask for an extra five or six of them since that's how many I need. Always a great place for breakfast or brunch. Lines get a little long, but I always use the Waitlist feature which really helps. The pancake flight is always a pleaser because we get to have our favorite pancakes and we also get to try their weekly special flavor. I usually have a great experience here in terms of service and the quality of the food and while we received that this time around once we were finally seated, we did have an encounter that truly soured our experience (but Abbott was friendly and kind!). We visited on the Fourth of July and we had my sister's pet bird with us on this occasion. When we got seated inside, the woman who was going to wait on our table (middle aged white woman, she was wearing a navy blue USA sort of shirt), immediately told us we could not have our animal inside but that'd she allow us on the patio where they really only allow service animals and that they don't even allow dogs unless they were service animals. We were a little surprised as no one said anything to us when we first came in or even when we first got seated but we chose to be understanding and waited outside again for a table outside. It was especially surprising to me, as I come here often and always see dogs in the patio and not many of them appear to be service animals. While we waited, we watched someone with a dog joining the waitlist requesting a table in the patio. The dog was clearly not a service animal and once we were finally seated, we also saw another couple seated next to us in the patio with their dog, who was also not a service animal. Truthfully, this moment felt a bit discriminatory as our family is Mexican and we did not see either one of those two parties get questioned as to the status of their dogs by the same woman, who seemed to possibly be a manager of some sort. A big thank you to Abbott for their impeccable service, I don't think they knew how our visit started but they definitely made the rest of our time a little better. The service they gave us was what I am used to receiving at this location and the food is always great, but the way we got treated today at the start did leave a bit of a sour taste in our mouth. P.S. as we were leaving my sister-in-law went to go clarify with them and the manager said that it wasn't what she said and that she meant that only dogs are allowed on the patio (although this wasn't what we all heard). My sister-in-law shared that we should have been informed from that start that birds were not allowed (or dogs are the only allowed pets) as the person who seated us even after seeing him still did so and then went to go get the manager instead of telling us before taking us to the table. Clear is kind and this sort of policy should be communicated right away so we could have made a decision at the start on whether we would dine here. read more

We came on a rainy Tuesday around 10:30am, no wait when we checked Yelp, but ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a party of 3 (you can join the waitlist on Yelp, which helps). I loved the pineapple upside down pancake, the cinnamon roll pancake tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll, and the strawberry shortcake pancake was so cute + tastes exactly like what you would imagine it to taste like. This was a super good portion for three people to share and get to try everything. Benny Duo (Bella Bella + Smash Avocado) -- Both were solid with perfectly poached eggs and seasoning. I don't have any notes for these, they just weren't particularly memorable, but they definitely added a really pleasant savory balance to our breakfast. if I had to choose one that I liked more, it would be the Bella Bella. While I didn't order the OMG! French Toast myself, I had a bite and fell in love. It gets busy in weekdays, so I suggest coming early to put your name on the waitlist. The wait for tables inside and outside are about the same. The outside tables are pet friendly. The server is kind, friendly, and quick. We got our drinks quickly. I got to try a variety of things. From the "For The Table" menu, I tried the Bacon But Different - it tasted like candy (delicious), but it was $7 for 3 thin strips of bacon. The Ham Benedict III for $16.50 is a typical eggs Benedict topped with ham and I thought that was solid. From the Classics menu, I tried the Protein Trio Omelet that comes with eggs, bacon, and sausage, a side of hash brown and toast. For $17.50, I think it was tasty and worth it. What a delightful place that I almost drove by. Would've been a huge shame! The inside is decorated with a nod to 1960s atomic decor. Super clean and the service was A+ friendly and knowledgable. But, on to the food. I ordered 1/2 an avo toast which came with a refreshing spinach, strawberry salad and balsamic dressing.
