Really busy. Their ahi tuna was the best honestly. Ordered a side of sweet potato fries that were fried to perfection. It's costly, but the fish quality made up for it Busy atmosphere; dim lights and active night life area

"Hoppy Hour" signature burger with fries = compact, average-tasting meal for $14
Laura H.

Our group of four went for "hoppy hour" and were seated in the outdoor patio on a chilly night when it didn't appear busy, but at least there was a heated lamp close to our table. Servers were friendly and provided good recs for our cravings. Eureka Signature Burger with Fries ($14): 3/5. Compact cheeseburger with a small portion of shoestring fries that was like a slightly elevated version of fast food. It wasn't bland, but I felt like it was just average, lacking some kind of "oomph" factor to make it a memorable meal. It gets the job done, but it's not substantial enough to fill you up if you're super hungry. Since UTC is near schools and residences, it's always flooded with students and families, so it can be noisy at times. Other than that, we enjoyed our time at Eureka. It was a relaxed spot to try out happy hour and catch up with friends.

Delicious food! Place was packed so ate at the bar.

Miss this place! Lived next to the HB one and was so sad when it closed. Came here during the week for dinner with a gf and the food is still delicious! Got the restaurant week deal which was an appetizer and entree for $25! This is a steal because the sonoma chicken sandwich was huge! Enough for 2 people to share. Large piece of chicken on thick bread with tomatoes, bacon and a garlic aioli. This also came with fries. For my starter i had the mac n cheese balls which were just as good as i remember. Lots of beers on tap which is nice. Place was lively and full, total opposite of the HB one which was empty most nights lol. We also got an order of the fried pickles and these were pretty small pieces and soggy so i would skip these next time! Would definitely come back for other things on the menu though.

A good place to sit at the bar alone and watch sports (no sound). They are mostly a beer and whiskey bar but they have wines and other spirits as well. The bartender was attentive and took my order quickly. I was craving a Steak Frites for dinner without breaking the bank and this did the trick. They also have a big patio area for bigger groups and also a spacious indoor seating area as well.

We came here for a quick bite to eat. The food was pretty good! Service was quick and nice. Ambiance is very cool!

Saturday night at 11:00 PM and Eureka was still popping honestly felt like a Friday night. Such a great surprise. Loved the outdoor seating areas with the fireplaces perfect late-night vibe. The food was on point, especially that late. The fries were insanely crispy, and everything came out fresh and dialed in. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. At that hour, you usually feel rushed, but not here at all. Staff was attentive, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend.

I can't believe I've been to Eureka a million times and haven't written about it yet! This spot is my go-to before entering the Bermuda Triangle aka TJ Maxx, Sephora, and Bath & Body Works. Obviously, a girl needs fuel before she disappears for three hours and comes out with things she did not plan to buy. Eureka always comes through with a great selection of drinks, and their burgers are forever a win! Seriously pick a burger any burger, it will be a guaranteed party in your mouth. The atmosphere is relaxed with dim lighting that sets the mood for an actually peaceful meal... before the retail chaos begins. 10/10 recommend: eat first, shop later, and thank me in the morning!

This is our second Eureka location we dined in at. The first time e tried Eureka was in Mountain View. We took advantage of the late night happy hour menu. We were a party of six. We all ordered the cheeseburger and fries and the fish n chips. We started with the Mac n cheese balls. Our server was Judd and oh boy was he super amazing. He took care of us as if we were VIPs. We accidentally brought back with us a waist belt that we thought was ours. We immediately went back to the restaurant to return it. There was a LV wallet with cash, credit cards and a car key. It most likely was left behind on the seat by the party before us. Open parking near the restaurant.

I had amazing service tonight!! My server Ashley was very on top of everything and was the sweetest thing on Earth. Food and ambiance was amazing I never been to the Irvine location and definitely recommend!

Delicious Caesar Salad

Awesome Protein bowl w Chicken, Caesar Salad, Barbecue Bacon Burger, Korean Frachos, Cheesecake & Bourbon Barrel Cake! Great friendly service from Kayla & RayRay! Warm fire on outside patio as we brought our dog. Highly recommend Eureka Burger in Irvine for a very nice dinner. Consistently good food & relaxing atmosphere.

They have a protein bowl which was so good and is a nice alternative for the vegetarians who don't eat burgers.

Eureka is hands down my favorite burger spot. I used to live in Santa Barbara -- home to plenty of great burger joints -- but honestly, their meat is the best I've ever had in my life. What makes Eureka even better is their amazing selection of drinks and beers that perfectly complement their creative menu. My go-to is the Fresno Fig Burger. I try to switch things up every now and then, but every few weeks I end up craving it again. The combination of blue cheese, fig marmalade, and fresh greens is an absolute match made in heaven. I can't recommend this burger enough! The service is always great, and they consistently nail the cooking and quality of their food

Are cigars allowed in the outdoor patio area?

Smoking in Irvine is illegal. You may not smoke in any public areas.

Hi, I have a tech network brunch for Saturday. Is your patio user enough for us to talk? 9ppl today. Thanks

Yes they have tables and the patio that accommodate big groups

Do the fries come with the burgers or do we need to order them separately?

The fries come with the burger. You chose between regular fries and sweet potatoes fries.

Does this place let you have your dog on the patio?

They sure do!

How come you guys do not have wings appetizer on your happy hours menu?

Hey June, I think there is a lot on their happy hour menu already... namely the mac n cheese balls! Those are to die for! Definitely get them instead!

Who's your favorite bar tender here?

Definitely Shane. He's the absolute best! Always has a smile on his face.

Do they serve mimosas? If so, are the also included in the happy hour menu?

Yes to mimosas! Not on happy hour, but they do have $5 mimosas all day on Saturday and Sunday :)

We got the cranberry sage mimosa and pear ginger mimosa to drink. For a starter, we got the house made biscuits. Our entrees were the pblt, crab cake benedict, and lobster roll. Cranberry Sage Mimosa- This is sweet and fruity, carried by the cranberry sage syrup. A touch of lime gives it an extra burst of citrus. Pear Ginger Mimosa- This is a sweet and spicy drink with a strong pear flavor and a little zing of ginger. Quite refreshing! House Made Biscuits- The biscuits are hot and fluffy with a nice crusty top. Served with thyme butter and sweet honey spread. PBLT- This sandwich has a pork belly base that is savory and meaty. A bit of tomato jam gives it a nice contrast and honey bacon aioli adds a little sweetness. Crab Cake Benedict- The crab cake is fresh and poached eggs add extra bulk with each bite. The hollandaise sauce ties the flavors together. Served with a side of green salad. Lobster Roll- Fresh lobster pieces tossed in a cold mayo dressing. Served on a buttery bun with a side of crispy fries. Tasty! Great experience overall!

I went to dinner with a date and sat at the bar feeling completely safe. I explained to him the I received an apology and an invite to come back from NI on Yelp. He claimed that the response was a corp form letter response and there was no intent behind the words. I don't know who I'm more embarrassed for, me or Tim the manager at North italia. I explained to him that the apology and the invite was very customized because it identified exactly what I had to eat that evening. His response was for me to leave the premises, which I did. You can decide whether to patronage this type of organization which practices strategic schizophrenia. I have since identified an exciting authentic Italian place in Costa Mesa (Red Room). Ask for Dominico (the owner). I guarantee you he'll ensure that you have a wonderful experience. Oh, and no extra charge for serving the food hot.

(Does anyone work anymore!? ) The longest I waited was an hour but that was 3 weeks after opening. And I can tell you, as long as you have the time it will be worth it. The overall aesthetic is coastal cowboy meets rustic modern. There is a ton of seating with a great outdoor patio. Parking in the back is pretty slim, so your best bet is street parking. You can either get lucky or park around the block, depending on the day / time. My absolute favorite coffee is the Hawaiian Cowboy. It flavor profile is a nutty tasting honey that's refreshing yet not overly sweet. You can actually taste the espresso without it being too powerful. This coffee is worth the wait. Their other drinks are also good, but this one takes the cake. They have a pretty expansive food menu as well, so it's much more than "just a coffee shop". And you can't forget about their baked goods. O M G. It's from a local bakery (sift bakery) who makes the best non basic treats around. The ambiance is a bit quirky and moody, great setting for a special occasion. Interesting menu with lots of variety. We ordered the grilled cheese dumplings, yellowfin tuna poke, parmesan garlic fries, ribeye, and chilean sea bass. Two clear favorites: the grilled cheese dumplings are such a creative concept -- if you love tomato soup and grilled cheese, it's basically the perfect bite in dumpling form. And the chilean sea bass was really the star of the night -- beautifully seared so it's crispy on the outside but soft, juicy, and tender inside, and the couscous paired with it really well. The one thing I'd skip is the ribeye -- the texture and flavor just didn't deliver the way the other dishes did, especially at that price point.
