I'm updating my review since the last time we've been here. Magnolia Table is still my favorite…read morerestaurant to visit whenever we're in Waco. The staff are always friendly and the food here is amazing!! We came back last Friday to celebrate my birthday. I was so happy to find out that they now take reservations using the Open Table app. It was super easy to use and I booked my reservation a few weeks prior to getting into Waco. We were greeted by the friendly hostess who seated us promptly since we had reservations. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and my husband ordered the farm breakfast. We ordered the kids breakfast for our 3 year old which came with pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. We also ordered a side of biscuits with strawberry jam. We got our food hot and made fresh to order. The croissant sandwich was filling and delicious. The croissant was super fluffy and light. Everything was perfect!!! Our son told us that he loved his pancakes. Our waiter came by frequently to check on us and make sure everything was made to our liking. 10/10 recommend for their high quality service and food. We will be sure to continue to keep coming back again and again whenever we're in Waco.

To start I had the strawberry margarita to celebrate my day off of work. It was very tasty and just the right amount of strawberry flavor. Refreshing. Since I was dining solo I didn't get any appz. I got the farm eggs Benedict and like I said the flavors were all good but wish it was as a little warmer. But it was a great portion. I ate it all! This was my first dinning experience here. There are lots of tables and the atmosphere is open and welcoming. After my meal I went to the take away area and got the lemon lavender donut holes to take home to the husband. And I grabbed a chai latte with oatmilk to keep me going for my warrants of the day. The drink was comforting and warm and the chai was perfect. Later I tried the donut holes. And oh wow they were amazing!

What a great find! The location is gorgeous - it's a winery, so think green and lush. The building…read moreitself is a beautiful, ivy covered stone with large windows letting in all the light. Inside you'll find some booths along the perimeter of the room and large, round tables with wonderful upholstered chairs in the center. Can't say enough about the comfort of the chairs- very upscale. Our server was very sweet and efficient- there when we needed her but not hovering. The food is glorious. They are a bit on the expensive side, but the food is so good we did not mind the prices. I had the chicken and waffles - nicely crisp chicken breast with very tasty waffles. My husband and granddaughter-in-law had the steak and eggs - with really good potatoes and onions; both were SO impressed with the flavor and the preparation. (I will be having this next time!). My grandson had 'Hong Kong' French toast, which I believe was made with Japanese milk bread and had berries and a custard. Also came with eggs and bacon. He could not speak highly enough about it. The portions are LARGE. We all took food home. I shared my plate with my great granddaughter (2 yrs) and still took food home! Honestly, we had booked another restaurant for the weekend of Mother's Day (day before) and we canceled that reservation so that we could go back to Farmers Commons! It's that good. Also, all the folks working when we were there were very sweet with my great granddaughter; we appreciated that. HIGHLY recommend for brunch. Now i want to try dinner too!

Servers at the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Ours suggested her favorite items since it was our first time, and it didn't disappoint. The Farmers burger is deliciously tender and smoky in flavor. The grilled Caesar was a gigantic portion with all the traditional flavors with a twist! The truffle & mushroom pizza was delicious! For dessert we split a slice of lemon cake and we were stuffed!!!

Cotton Patch Cafe is a problematic franchise…read more Cotton Patch Cafes in College Station and Bryan are downright poor. Filthy. Slow service. Indifferent food. I have eaten in both the College Station and the Bryan version. I totally disliked both of them. * * * I am pleased to say the Round Rock Cotton Patch cafe is better than either of its Aggieland cousins. The Round Rock Cotton Patch is CLEAN. That is frequently not the case in Bryan or College Station. My food was not great. I had a brisket queso. The dish was not well designed. The brisket was lovely - but it all stuck together in one piece. The chips were conspicuously too thin for even for salsa. I couldn't pick up my queso with my cheap superthin chips. Not being able to pick up one's food defeats the purpose of providing chips in the first place. Not that I was missing any kind of big treat. The queso itself didn't taste like much. I didn't die but what I had wasn't great. * Entertainment value was low as well. On TV, two out of the three channels were Cotton Patch's own advertising-itself TV, The landscapes were all standard Texas Highway Department "Texas-Is-a-Lovely-Place-To-Visit-Right-Now". The show didn't make me want to visit any of those places. The frequent ads for Cotton Patch did not make me want to go out and buy Six Cotton Page Gift Certificate cards. I love my friends and family. I know some of the best people in the world. They have not done anything bad enough in this life to justify them being punished with gift certificates from Cotton Patch.
