New Take-Out Only place in Nolanville. This place is in the previous Cookie Plug location. I ordered the three piece and cole slaw. Everything is fresh. The cabbage in the slaw was crisp and perfectly dressed. But the star of the meal was the freshly made fried chicken. The chicken was made to order. No heat lamps in this place. Be ready to wait at least 10 minutes. To avoid the wait, you can call your order in. They also have an on-line ordering app. The chicken was perfectly fried and seasoned. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. The catfish plate and waffles are next.

This is the order I placed.

Roni’s Mac Bar - Mine, my daughter and her wife's bowls. I got the cheesey garlic bread

Roni's is definitely not your typical mac and cheese spot, so go in with an open mind (and maybe…read morelowered cheese expectations). Their mac is lighter on the sauce, and most of the cheese hangs out on top instead of being that creamy, mixed-in style a lot of us are used to. Once you get past that, the flavor is solid. I do like that you can customize it with add-ins -- that part is fun and makes the experience feel more like a "build-your-own comfort bowl." I went when it wasn't busy, so the wait wasn't long, but there was only one person running the whole show: cooking, cashiering, everything. They held it down, but you can definitely tell this is a small operation. Overall, I'd go again, but it's not a "drop everything and get there now" spot for me. A solid choice when you're craving something light pasta, just not the best mac of my life.

Who would have thought to create a restaurant revolving around macaroni and cheese? This was my…read morefirst time at my daughter's recommendation and I must say that Roni's did not disappoint. When you first walk up there is a large game of cornhole. There was a couple out there having a blast. When I tell you that my ADHD kicked in real quick as I stepped through the entrance so much that I felt like a kid. "Oooh EVERYTHING" is an understatement. First off, I got distracted by the best of the 90s music. We knew every song that played. Then there was the wall that spoke to me as an artist. It was such a beautiful and whimsical mural. I was in awe for literally 2.5 seconds as I caught the jinga blocks in my peripheral to my left. Now I must take pictures! As I wait for my daughter and her wife to finish there order on the giant tablet kiosk, I swayed and sang Tevin Campbell's 'Can We Talk' to the top of my lungs! When it was my turn to order, I had no clue what I was doing. First, you pick a noodle. Next you pick a cheese, then a meat and if you want a veggie you throw that in there as well. Then comes more toppings! It's like the Chipotle of Mac and Cheese. Add a garlic bread, if you want to, a dessert and a drink. The girl that was at the counter was such a sweetheart and I think she was amused by our singing because she joined in. I'm pretty sure it was her playlist that we were hearing. When we got our food, it was a bowl of picture perfection (kudos to the cook). The first bite was everything I could ask for and more. The cheese was so creamy and it complimented the the twang of the barbecue and brisket. I only wish that the broccoli would have also been cooked in some way but it was still a refreshing addition to the bowl since they were small and raw (gotta get all the veggie vitamins.)! One drawback for myself was that since I don't eat salt, I could definitely taste ALL the salt that was in each heavenly bite. All I needed was a Mountain Dew to wash it all down but, unfortunately, they served coke products. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience to share with my daughter while she was on military leave. I had more than enough left to take home and share with my partner. I will be returning to try a different combination of ingredients.

I'd say the flavor that "stands out" the most is pepper. I placed my order online and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I showed up in 20 and it's a good thing I did because the food was already ready when I arrived, otherwise it would've been left sitting and gotten cold. I wasn't asked if I wanted salsa and the bag was badly packed, the cheese was already spilling a bit because the cup was lying on the side of the bag with no support so I made sure to repack before leaving. Green salsa I asked for had no flavor either, tasted like bell peppers blended with water. They also add a "service charge" when you pay with card which is crazy cause aren't I already paying for a service with the meal? It could also be because they don't want to pay the card fees from banks but that shouldn't be on us to pay that for them. Beans tasted almost burnt and *wait for it* also ~flavorless~. Rice was alright. Guac was decent though. If I'm being generous this place is a 3/5, gets the job done but does not impress.

You can see they use nice, large shrimp, not small cocktail shrimp. They give you all the "fixings" so you don't have to choose between cheese, sour cream, avocado, and pico. Both hot sauces are also really good. Inez was our server. She was super sweet and definitely made the meal enjoyable. We didn't need it, but I noticed they have a call button. That would come in handy if you were on lunch break and needed to leave quickly.
