We ordered this at my job for a Juneteeth celebration, so I can't comment on the place or service, but one thing that stood out to me from all the food was the chicken. Omg it was so delicious. It was the smoked or roasted chicken, and that thing was damn good. The sausage was also delicious. I didn't really like the mashed potatoes too much. They were a bit bland. The mac and cheese was good, but had a very sharp cheddar flavor, which, depending on who you are, may be a good or bad thing. Cornbread and rolls were good as well. This little place is legit if you are looking for some down home comfort food. I've been wanting to try it for awhile, but we've never been able to catch them when they're open until today. My wife and I along with a friend who is a trained Chef ordered from them earlier this evening, and we all agreed that this was some of the best home style cooking we've ever had. All of us ordered the fried pork chop with various sides. I ordered it with the cornbread dressing and greens with cabbage with a slice of cornbread and I felt like it was 20 plus years ago sitting down at my Moms table for an awesome meal. The pork chop is sizable, not thin, and nicely trimmed. And the seasoning on it and the rest of the sides was absolutely delicious. You can tell that these folks put a lot of care and pride in what they serve, and believe me it shows. Like I said, it's hit or miss catching them open, but when you do, you need to give them a try. I'm new to Texas and was looking for some good food. I found PJ's at their location and ordered a pork chop dinner w/greens and sweet potatoes to go. The pork chop was thick and tender the greens and sweet potatoes were delicious too. I definitely recommend them and i will be back. read more

Be sure to check your order. I used DoorDash ordered $57.00 in food and all I got was the pork chop lunch. Called to let them know that I did not receive my whole order. Had to talk to the boss and she assured me that she was the one who had been doing the plates for take and she didn't make one with what I ordered.
