It's average pizza. It was good but didn't blow me away. While moderately expensive for pizza, it's still one of the cheaper options in Assembly Row. Had the Hawaiian slice and my parents had plain cheese and a sausage one. The "slice" is a huge and actually 2 slices that they split in half. The pizzas looked like they have been sitting for awhile but tasted alright after being warmed up. Small indoors but decent amount of outdoor seating which is nice in the summer. read more

My wife considers herself an expert on Ernesto's, seeing as how she was once their upstairs tenant in the North End. Rent included heat, water, and pizza. Seriously, i have no idea why she ever left either. So when she says it's the same, that should count for something. Outstanding, well-balanced pizza with a sweet and tangy sauce, excellent toppings, and a good crust. Nice, quarter-pie portions for a very reasonable price. Only downside is, it's tiny, but I look forward to eating on a curb in the summer. read more

Not too impressed. Buffalo chicken wasn't spicy or particularly flavorful. Only after I ordered and ate my two slices did I hear the server at the counter say there was also a separate buffalo chicken pie that had blue cheese and red onions, which sounds much more appealing. Two slices is too big when you just want a quick bite... The "jumbo" thing is just a way to make sure you're paying at least $5. The only pie they will sell single/regular slices for is cheese. Crust wasn't great... Too thick for me. And they didn't have any pizza sauce or marinara they could give me for dipping my extra crust in, which seemed particularly strange. There aren't many choices for a quick bite in Assembly Row (yet), but I'll likely try something else next time. read more

HAHA totally laughed when I saw a Yelper from New Haven claim he's from an area with the best pizza in the nation. Hilarious. Anyway, so there's a lot of hate here, but this establishment doesn't deserve anything less than 3.5 stars. It's certainly not Picco, but their pizza is still pretty dang enjoyable. I also thoroughly enjoyed the huge arancini, drenched in marinara. Absolutely filling & delicious. No complaints here. Pizza made with Boston's delicious tap water is bound to be great & Ernesto's is really tasty. Small place, best as an on the go kind of deal, staff is a mix of friendly & apathetic. Whatevs, just want me some pizza. read more

This is hands down the BEST pizza in the area. The ranch chicken is fire!!! The crust is second to none.

A $30 pizza should arrive hot, not barely lukewarm. If you can't guarantee a hot product upon delivery, maybe you should narrow your delivery radius. Oh, and with an overload of toppings, it doesn't even taste like pizza anymore. read more

I'm into it. Thick, hearty slices reminiscent of Regina's including a straight forward but spot on sauce & a nice layer of melty cheese that also gives bite. I'd say this style of pizza is a little too bready to be my favorite (by slice #3 I committed the ultimate pizza sin and forwent the last few bites of crust), but it still ranks quite high. I highly recommend trying Ernesto's. I even really liked their greek salad and further appreciate that they only offer pizza & salads. Happy these guys deliver to me (grubhub!) so I can get my North End style pizza fix without dealing with the North End. p.s. Fair warning: their pizzas are a bit pricey though they're also gigantic (I paid $18 for a mushroom pie). read more

I love Ernesto's pizza. It is so delicious, the sauce on the cheese pizza is my favorite part. They consider one slice to be two large slices which definitely fills me up. It is in a great location and I always try to come here when I am in the assembly row area. They have indoor and outdoor seating. There has never been too much of a wait during the times that I've gone. I believe that they also deliver. read more

Popped in here before going to Paul for pastries to avoid buying six of them, as I don't typically make wise decisions on an empty stomach. I saw that they had arancini and was sold. I've eaten a lot of them in my day, but this was the first time I'd ever seen it come in a tub of marinara sauce. Once I got over the initial weirdness, it was ok, though the fact that it was in sauce took away from one of my favorite aspects-- the crispiness of the fried exterior. It still tasted nice and was filling, as you'd expect a fried ball of rice to be. My friend got pizza with spinach, and his was better. If I went back, I'd go for pizza. read more

Awesome pizzas, huge slices (they cut it in 2 for you bc it's a quarter of a pizza). Great for a bite after shopping or before a movie. Favorite so far is their shrimp scampi. read more

Ernesto's Pizza - Shrimp Scampi slice ($6.50 after tax) - Pizza Near Me - Somerville, Massachusetts

I ordered two Jumbo slices. The guy confirmed that I understood that was half a pizza. I did. The sauce was perfect. The crust was amazing. I had mozzarella and basil, and a pepperoni slice. It is some of the best pizza I have had in Boston. read more

This is my favorite pizza spot. Hits different every time. Best cheese pizza and margarita. If you r ever near it it is a must try.

Awesome pizza in a no-frills atmosphere. I tried four kinds when I visited on a slow Wednesday night (I know... I know.. that's the equivalent of 8 slices): chicken/bacon ranch, caprese, eggplant/ricotta, and chicken BBQ. They were all phenomenal: 1. Sweet tomato sauce 2. Chewy-but-not-too-chewy crust 3. Ample but not overdone toppings (what I especially like was the chicken on the ranch and BBQ - not slices breast but almost ground or pulled pieces). No ambiance whatsoever (barely enough room for ~10 tables), but the pizza is awesome. read more

Well for starters I went there last night to enjoy an evening out with my girlfriend. Upon arrival everything was going well. Till we got our order sat down to eat only to be told across the room that we have 10 minutes to eat our food and then we have to leave. Mind you I just spent $35 on pizza in two drinks the customer service there is very poor the two young guys that were there were extremely rude. Rushing my girlfriend and I to eat our food and starting a countdown five minutes till closing three minutes till closing pretty much rushing us. On top of that they don't even close till 9 o'clock according to their website it wasn't even 830 and they were already rushing people out the door of course my girlfriend and I were the last ones I was extremely disappointed and pissed at the fact that this is the way we got treated by the two individuals behind the counter the poorest customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I think it's a disgrace to a business that has been around for such a long time to have such Poor piss customer service behind the counter. It seems they just wanted to close early to get out early so I guess customer service will just have to wait. read more

Ernesto's Pizza - A thumbs down for customer service and poor treatment of customers - Pizza Near Me - Somerville, Massachusetts

We took our two year old daughter to the Legoland Discovery Center in Assembly Row on Memorial Day. I used the Yelp app to see what was around and found this place. My husband used to work in the North End and told me that Ernesto's was the place with the big pizza slices. So off to Ernesto we went. As I was walking toward the shop, I noticed the humongous slices of very Italian looking pizza. I was already happy! My husband got the Hawaiian, and I got the special. The pizza was delicious but was more on the bready side. I prefer thinner crust pizza. Overall, a great inexpensive lunch option in the area. I plan to come again and to bring my parents who also love pizza. read more

Finallyyyy a good gluten free pizza in Boston!!!! I've been looking for so long. The service was a little weird and the staff not very friendly but the GF pizza was so good I don't even care. I'll be going back. read more

For slices, this was really good. Sauce, crust were excellent. A little too much cheese for me (I got plain cheese) and very oily and a bit soupy, which is why I didn't give 5 stars. But overall, delicious, and the counter guy was very nice as well. I'll definitely come back when in the area. The slices are HUGE - one-quarter of a pizza - so don't let the price-per-slice shock you. I couldn't even finish a whole slice, and I started out very hungry. read more

The price is good for the large slice you get (it's like 2-3 slices in one). I love the bacon ranch chicken pizza and enjoyed the bbq chicken as well. I need to branch out and try more types, but when I see the bacon ranch chicken (or even think about it) my mouth starts watering and I know I have to follow my gut. I'll eventually over do it and try other toppings. The sitting area is small but reasonable. The music has been pretty awesome every time I've gone in. Oldies are where it's at. read more

I've been here a couple of times now and the pizza gets 2 thumbs up from me! The only gripe I have is that the space is really small and there's always a line which makes waiting...awkward. Otherwise, pizza is great. I love that they have different options already made and chucked in the oven for a quick crisp-up. I find this to be better and easier to manage than freshly made sloppy pizza, but maybe I'm just weird. The eggplant and ricotta was delicous, albeit a bit greasy. Pepperoni and plain cheese fabulous. read more

Ah Boston pizza, so few options good enough to appease a New Jersian. For non fancy gas/coal pizzas Pizzeria Regina original location full size pie tops by Boston list, with Santarpio's a close second. For "single" servings I prefer Ernesto's. Note that a single slice means a 1/4 pie so you're effectively only able to get 2 slices, which can be annoying if you want to mix it up. After a quick reheat, the pizza comes hot and greasy. read more

Hands down my FAVORITE pizza! I always go to the location in the northend, so when this location opened, I was stoked!!! The pizza is just as good as the northend location, which I was surprised because I feel like companies usually have a hard time matching quality at their different locations. The crust has a little crunch, but is still soft and doughy - perfection!!! One slice is the size of two, so definitely filling! I highly recommend Ernesto's (both locations) if you're looking for AMAZING pizza! read more

Not really a fan of pizza but I stopped by Ernesto's bc I was starving and they caught me by surprise. It was pretty good ... My only problem is that a slice is a quarter of a pizza ... Like what. I mean I can for sure finish that but you're stuck if you want 2 different slices. read more

Ernesto's Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Somerville, Massachusetts

The fair priced pizza is top notch, with awesome guys taking your order. I was taken back the first time I walked in. A small dinning area with 20 pizzas crammed into a glass case... Hmmm, one could say it's pretty unorthodox. However I repeat, the pizza is awesome with delicious crust, sauce, and quality of toppings. Just choose what looks the best and they'll reheat in the oven. Although the pizza is why I come back to this place, I wrote this review because I really liked the guys behind the counter. Three times now I've walked in as a complete tourist. Every time these guys have been super fast/friendly while serving me and many others. Because there are stupid tourists everywhere, some places in the north end aren't so friendly. I feel these guys make a point to be respectful. Thank you Ernesto's! read more

Really yummy food! I do wish there was a more eco-friendly way to serve the arancinis - they're definitely the reason I go there, and it kills me to have to waste single-use plastic for a single rice ball... read more

I guess if your in the area craving pizza, it's good. But wouldn't go out of my way getting it, little stingy on the cheese on my pepperoni pizza. 5.00 for 1 slice (1/4 of a pie is 1 slice) not too bad. read more

Best pizza I've had in the state! And the kid working the front tonight (Thursday 4/2) is a machine. If I had cash I would have left him a $20! Next time, man. I promise! If you don't like this pie, you're putting it in the wrong hole. read more

I would give Ernesto's 3.5 stars if I could. "One Slice" is actually 2 slices, or 1/4 of a pie. It is probably their way of making sure you spend at least $5. The crust is really good, especially for the Boston area. Tomato sauce is good- very tomatoey. If the cheese had more character, this would be a perfect pizza. Aside from that, my only other critique is that there weren't any easily readable signs or labels for all of the pizza varieties. read more

Pizzas are huge, slices are half of a pie. People working there are nice and accomodating. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

I tried their plain cheese pizza to see how it stacks up to other pizzeria joints..... and unfortunately I didn't even finish the first slice. No taste & No flavor. The only thing I like about this place is that you can buy by the slice. read more

I love the pizza here! Always delicious. Today was no exception in regards to the food. However the service wasn't the best. We ordered 2 slices and bottle of water($14) to go. When they called our order they hadn't put them in boxes. I reminded the cashier we'd asked for them to go. The 'expo' person crams the 2 slices in 1 box. The worst part is that he only had one glove on. Unfortunately he did this in front of me so I had the pleasure of witnessing him use his gloveless hand to put away my pizza. If this was a lower end price point I might brush it off, but the sanitation practices should match the quality. read more

The pizza sauce was mediocre. If you are into sauce on the sweeter side then you would probably like the pizza better than I did. Like any restaurant in the North End there is limited seating which is hard if you go with a few friends. If you go by yourself you should be fine. I got a whole pizza and it didn't take very long to cook which was a perk, got people in and out of the restaurant pretty quick. Also pretty expensive for slices but getting a full pizza is worth it for your money. read more

... their pizza is awesome! The prices are nice for the portions you receive. It's located in assembly sq which is cool. I wish it was bigger for groups the only con. The staff were very attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our order. read more

Staff was friendly and the wait wasn't too long. I wish they had labels in front of the pizza so you don't have to ask what each type is while ordering. The large slice is a good deal, and very filling, however the flavor just isn't there and the dough was a bit raw! The place echoes a lot, and there were some rowdy teenagers in there so I wanted to eat as fast as I could to get out since I clearly wasn't going to eat in peace. There's not a lot of seats and people are watching you eat as they are waiting in line. Overall, it's a good option for quick food while at Assembly Row and has a few tables outside as well. read more
