They had a ton of options although they weren't too friendly with explaining them to you. Pricing wasn't bad for how big of the slices were it was like 2 slices in 1. I think I've finally found the best gluten-free pizza in the Boston metropolitan area. Assembly Row has slowly gone from Dark Horse to The Little Engine that Could (and Did!). This cute little pizzeria, or pizza shop, as Bostonians more regularly refer to these eateries, is a testament to that. I was in the area with a friend, to catch a movie at the AMC. She was dying to eat, and I was content not consuming anything, because I was used to never being able to eat anything. I spotted this little shop after all of the cute bars were filled to the brim, and I told my friend, "Look! There are seats." She turned and said, "But don't you want to look for something gluten-free?" I didn't really care, so I went in... and as we sat, I read the magic words on the board: "GLUTEN FREE PIZZA." Late lunch or not, I had to try it. Claiming that any pizza in anywhere other than New York tastes anything other than "okay" is difficult for me, but I'm confined to a medically prescribed diet, and I don't remember tasting anything remotely close to what I tasted tonight in... at least... a decade. I ordered the 10" gluten-free cheese pizza, since I was taught -- in my home city -- that toppings are for people who expect pizza to taste bad. I set my sights high from the beginning; I set myself up to either be very impressed or sorely disappointed. Luckily for me, there was no disappointment tonight. The gluten free flour-base was, of course, very thin. The cheese was perfect -- it was well-matched to its gluten-free flour base. It actually tasted like pizza. I often find that gluten-free pizza can taste like cardboard, or tomato sauce, or burnt cheese. None of these things were true for tonight's meal. In fact, it was so perfect, that I was able to eat the entire 10" pie by myself, in one sitting. I have never, ever, in my life, eaten that much pizza by myself. The slices were tiny, but I find that this is sometimes necessary with gluten-free pies, because the flour can be very fragile. I was able to fold my tiny slices without having them break -- the cheese didn't fall off, the base didn't fall off. That seldom happens. Have I died and gone to heaven? Am I in Oz? Nope? I guess I'm just enjoying the things the rest of the world takes for granted (because I finally can). read more

The prices are quite reasonable as it's kind of like a 2 for 1 deal. You also have the option to order a whole pie, which is probably a better value and a wiser choice. ;) I never come with enough bellies, so a whole pie is always out of the question. Also, if you happen to secure seats, the employee will bring your hot pie right to your table. If you arrive at a time when it's not busy, service is generally quick, say under 5 mins. My god daughter said it was delicious as well, expect for the crust, it is way too doughy, which I concur. I also opted for the veggie slice on my recent visit. Assembly Row was really missing that quick and easy but good spot, especially with the AMC theater right there. Ernesto's fits the bill. I always have a struggle with weeknight movies. I get out of work at 5, so I can't get consistently get anywhere before 6, and then the evening showing starts at 7 (this grandma can't handle 9pm+ showings on a school night). I either scarf down a meal in 30 minutes and hope the waiter is fast with the check, or just skip dinner and fill up on popcorn. Either way, no good. M and I came here a few weeks ago before seeing Black Panther (if you haven't seen it yet, stop reading this review and go watch), and it was the perfect fit for a movie night. They had several types of pizza available by the slice (I opted for classic pepperoni), and super fast counter service. "Slices" actually constitute a quarter of a pizza (two slices anywhere else). M did a slice of pepperoni and a slice of chicken/ranch because he was feeling ambitious (spoiler alert: he couldn't finish them). Both were tasty. Not the best pizza you've ever had, but for the price and convenience, no complaints here. For drinks they have the standard fountain soda offerings. I'd love to see them get a beer/wine license, but hey, you can buy a beer at AMC (which we did). We'll be back for our next movie night in Assembly. read more

Good idea of pizza but the cook is uneven distributed and lost a lot of toppings. The large bubbles had absolutely no cheese nor the huge amount of crust. The crust as you can see here ranges from 1inch to 3 inches across different pizzas. That's like losing 2 inches to 4 inches of toppings or 10-40 percent if the pizza was 10 inches. The meat lover's pizza was definitely loved by our group. The veggie pizza was KILLIN' IT with all the loaded veggies. It was the heaviest pizza of the 3 thanks to the fresh broccoli, eggplant, etc. HOWEVER -- definitely could have used a heavier hand with the salt. The caprese pizza was just ok. My roommate goes here all the time and always said how good the pizza was for a pretty cheap price so when I was in the area I thought I'd give it a shot. The inside is small with a few seats and the pizzas they have readily available in a window of sorts so you can see what you're getting. I decided to go for the chicken bacon ranch pizza out of all of their choices. They take 2 huge slices that are between about a third and a fourth of a whole pizza, reheat it up for you in an oven and give you the pieces in a box. The pizza itself was really good for $4-$5 and was pretty filling since the slices were so large. They did overheat my pizza a bit so there was some burnt areas but overall the taste was solid. My first slice was hot and toasty here few months ago . Even at 8:30pm. But last night my slice was just slightly warm , pepperonis was room temperature , sausage was just cold and crust was not crisp at all . The topping just broken off. This review is for delivery. We ordered a pizza with a few of toppings and a Caesar salad. The pizza was 30 dollars, which I thought was kind of steep so we expected it to be pretty damn good. By the time the food arrived, the pizza was pretty cold. Not necessarily the restaurants fault, but we live less than 10 minutes away. Putting that aside, the pizza looked great and was quite large, so we were excited to dig in. It was just plain bad. The crust tasted like cardboard. The sauce was absolutely flavorless, the cheese was weak and also flavorless. Not an herb or seasoning in sight. And we're fairly certain the topping were frozen. I doubt there was any salt involved in the process. For over 50 dollars in food and delivery, we won't be ordering again. So bummed because I had heard good things! Oh, Ernesto's. You will seriously be the death of me with your massive, crispy, delicious slices of pizza. I never knew such a small pizza joint could redefine what it means to order a slice, but you've proved me wrong in the best way possible. Here's the thing: I doubted the sign Ernesto's had at their counter that basically said one piece of pizza equaled two standard slices. That's ludicrous. There's no way a pizza place would ever do that and still be financially afloat. So, when I ordered two pieces of plain, I was floored when I watched the guy behind the counter take half the cheese pie and put it into the oven. Obviously I had to question if what he was doing was right because I'm rude and have no filter. He was right. When I received four pieces of pizza, I was outwardly overwhelmed but secretly jumping up and down for joy. For $9ish bucks, I just claimed for myself half a pizza. And it's damn good pizza. We're talking thick, crispy crust, delicious sauce balanced well with generous amounts of cheese. Needless to say, I didn't waste those two (four) slices of pizza. Overhyped. I find nothing particularly awesome about Ernestos. You are served a giant slice - literally a quarter of a pie. But it's cut in half so it's really two slices. The pies are pre-made and heated up on demand as you order. The toppings on the supreme slice ($5.21) include green pepper, dried out pepperoni, wilted onions, a smattering of tasteless sausage. I maybe ruining a tradition for some folks but I think the whole quarter pizza as a slice is a marketing ploy that works very well but is no different than the giant fireworks scam where it's buy one get one free but it's really just double the price of buying a single one! I'm into it. Thick, hearty slices reminiscent of Regina's including a straight forward but spot on sauce & a nice layer of melty cheese that also gives bite. I'd say this style of pizza is a little too bready to be my favorite (by slice #3 I committed the ultimate pizza sin and forwent the last few bites of crust), but it still ranks quite high. I highly recommend trying Ernesto's. I even really liked their greek salad and further appreciate that they only offer pizza & salads.
