I'm lactose intolerant and this is the only pizza that I will eat and "forget" that. It's so so so good! The sauce and dough both have a sweetness about them that makes each slice (which is huge by the way) that makes you never want to put it down. When you buy a slice it's literally 1/4 of a pizza. Prices are super reasonable for slices and whole pizzas. The arancini balls are wicked good too. A must to for your pizza cravings or obsessions. read more

After leaving legoland i wanted a quick bite to eat. This pizza was amazing and I'm a pizza snob. There slices are huge like NY pizza and the varieties are amazing. The place was clean, quant, and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual spot!! I would return!! read more

DON'T DO IT!!!. At work and hungry decided on Pizza saw the "4" rating and decided to go over to the North end to give Ernesto's a try. Right when you turn onto Salem, very small street no parking. I didn't mind double parking in anticipation of a "great pizza" WRONG! First I ordered three slices, cost 16.50 Soda ( very limited choices). I realize the slices are "big", that's because they are stuck together... 2 slices making 1 big one. My honest opinion, you can get this type of pizza in any neighborhood around the Boston area, most likely better tasting and better prices. I was disappointed, I'm from Boston and I will admit, I figured going to the North End would satisfy my craving for some good pizza. My advice, if you're hungry and just need a filler, if it's in your way stop in and get a quick slice. If you are craving a good pizza, don't do it. I guarantee you will be disappointed. Don't take my word for it. I'll wait for your review! read more

Hands down best pizza! I wish I could eat here every day. Very convenient located at Assembly row!

Pizza is decent with a nice crispy bottom and decent sauce/cheese mixture and flavor. The dough is too chewy; my jaw literally gets tired eating 2 slices. The pizza just doesn't compare to NY/NJ pizza in my opinion. However, the problem isn't the pizza, but the menu. They literally have "Wow!" written next to the menu where you find that a slice is a quarter (1/4) of a pizza pie. However, the price is comparable to 2 slices so there is nothing "Wow!" about it. In fact, it is worse because if you want three normal slices, or you want variety, well you are just out of luck. Just offer a normal slice and cut the cost in half. That way I can get 3 slices of 3 different pies, instead of needing to order 6 slices to get 3 different kinds. I very rarely order whole pies, as they tend to differ from the slice pies at real pizzerias and the slice pies are usually superior. Thus, I can't comment on the whole take-out pies unless in this case they happen to be the same as the slice pies. Won't be going out of my way to return. read more

I've always been a fan of the original Ernesto's in the North End -- best pizza there by far. It's good to have an option a little closer by, and where there's actually parking. They just opened and I'm not seeing any big quality difference between here and the original location-- same great sauce and crispy crust smothered in semolina. Only downside is that the ambience is a little too clean, modern and strip-mally, lacking the old world charm of the original. read more

AVOID this restaurant. We ordered a pizza for pick-up, and when we walked into the store we saw one of the employees sneeze all over the counter, plates, and utensils, and then without washing her hands, began to handle the serving utensils and food. Yuk. read more

Good pizza. However the crust was burned. Slices are HUGE and well priced. You get 2 regular slices of pizza when you order 1 slice. Also they didn't heat up the pizza well. They were very friendly about reheating it when I asked them to. Overall good experience. read more

Ordered two over priced slices of pepperoni and they did not warm up the pizza. I don't care if the pizza just got out of the oven 10 minutes ago or if you're closing in 5 minutes, warm up the pizza!!!! Also, the pizza appeared to have been sitting out for an extended period of time and tasted like the pizza had been sitting out. The taste is nothing special. Sauce: tangy, slightly over seasoned. Crust: mushy, thin, and not good cold. The pizza reminds me of Regina's pizza (located not far off over the bridge in Station Landing) and not in a good way. I was disappointed that the pizza was a copy cat of Regina's rather than trying to be their own pizza joint. There were several workers there in a tiny kitchen, one of them was sweeping a rug and I wondered if the dust from the rug would fly over the class covering the old looking pizza and onto the pizzas. Gross. If you're looking for warm pizza, I'd say go to Regina's for a slice. They'd at least warm up the pizza for you. read more

Seating is tight but the pizza is amazing. The barbecue pizza is delicious. My boys loved the kids cheese slices - if you ask they will slice different ways (strips, squares, etc). read more

Convenient if you're strolling around the row... Got the buffalo, veggie and cheese. Pretty much all of them were bland. Maybe they do it on purpose so they can charge for the ranch packets needed to make it taste better which it didn't.. read more

Can only review the gluten free cheese pizza. In my husband's opinion, it was the best gluten free pizza he's ever had. In my opinion, it tasted like what I would think gluten free papa Gino's pizza might be like. It's pretty greasy but was tasty enough. read more

Love this place for taking family before the movies. Delicious big slices of pizza and I love how everyone gets what they want and 1 slice is plenty for anyone. Barbecue chicken, sausage and ricotta, meat lovers and many other great flavors. Prices are also great. read more

Went here the other day for lunch, and it was terrible. The pizza slices we're not hot, and tasted stale. We'd ordered 4 different slices and not one turned out good. The prices are cheap though. read more

It didn't take long for this place to become a dump. No arrancini or garlic knots available for days/weeks because "they have to order those" so it's not fresh or made in t house. The napkin holder now stands empty, u have to ask for some when needed. Ernesto's been pushing and growing in the north end with their great Sicilian pizza which was available at this location until not long ago but it's now out of their menu. So it became just an over priced, no napkin available and half of the menu fresh/available kind of place. Just not worth it. Hoping it will be replaced with a legit pizza place soon. read more

Greasy awful terrible. There are not enough adjectives to describe how bad this pizza is. Don't waste your money. read more

Pretty good pizza but I didn't have a good experience because of the staff. First, I will admit that as a first-time customer, there with a large group of people, I didn't read the overhead menu closely enough to realize that their "slice" is what every other pizza place I've ever been would consider two slices. The guy at the register questioned me ordering three slices (for two people), but I didn't realize that it would be 3/4 of a whole pizza. I waited a while to get my order because I kept seeing two slices of the same kind on each plate and thinking "well, I didn't order 2 of the same kind." Eventually, I went up and they gave me my order of 3 jumbo "slices" (so...6 slices in any other place). I reacted with surprise - but not anger - saying that I didn't realize that each order was two slices and I didn't expect so much pizza. Multiple staff members immediately came over and got defensive, insisting that each was a slice that they cut into two pieces. The way they reacted made me feel like I was making a scene, but I wasn't. I did not ask for my money back or say anything belligerent. The worst thing I said was that they should make the size of their jumbo slice clearer for future customers. A sign/diagram at eye level would be enough. But the way they reacted is enough to make me not come back. Seriously guys, if you have to cut it into two pieces to serve it to the customer, maybe just call it two slices. read more

Food here is great, but I was told that the pizza that I wanted would take 6-7 minutes. 35 minutes later, I'm still waiting. Cashier apologized to another customer, cutting that "it's a real shit-show right now." I'd suggest going to the original Ernesto's in the North End over coming here. read more

Nothing special from this location. I remember the pizza from the North End location being pretty good, but the slices here (at least the cheese) are the same you might find anywhere. I would put it at the exact same level as Haymarket Pizza near, obviously, Haymarket. However, the Haymarket pizza is $1.50 per slice while this is $4.50. Outrageous? Yes! But it's also the cheapest option in Assembly, sadly, so you're kind of stuck with it. read more

Love coming to any Ernesto's location! The food is always good, the portions always huge, and the prices always low. This is my favorite spot in assembly, and also probably the most reasonable. You can get a massive slice of pizza (equivalent to two slices anywhere) for only $4. Ernesto's is honestly my favorite pizza place in all of Boston. read more

Came here while volunteering at PetPalooza. I got a cheese slice, removed the cheese, and it was still incredible. Got a nice cold Diet Pepsi from the fountain, and I was in heaven. Good price too! read more

Great pizza, a lot of variety, something for everyone. The slices are huge, I'm talking quarter of a pie!

The pizza was okay. Not the best, sizes were amazing & so was the customer service . I suggest that next time i go or anyone goes, you should do so when the pizza is fresh so im guessing whenever they open read more

Been here a couple of times no problems and pizza is the best around even beating Regina's down the street. The one time I went in for a pickup they did my pizza wrong. They apologized and gave us 10 dollars in gift cards and gave us the other pizza anyway. The manager there shows that he cares about his customers every time I visit. The down side is no delivery but their pizza is good enough for a pickup anyday. Ninja turtles would straight have VIP memberships here. read more

Oh, this is great pizza, reminds me of NYC. Love the crust and variety of toppings. Started eating Ernestos pizza at a game night were they generously donate pizza to a church group. It's excellent pizza and they are oh so generous! Bacon chicken ranch is excellent read more

Found this gem walking back from Bunker Hill. Slices were huge (2 pieces) and delicious. Shop was cool in the blistering heat. A little small and crowded but can't complain when everyone had the same idea as me. Great food. read more

Alright pizza place in Assembly Row. While they do give you two slices when you order one slice, it still really costs like ordering two slices at a local by the slice pizza joint. While decent I wouldn't go out of my way to return here but it's a good option if avoiding the weekend brunch madness at the other restaurants in the area. read more

Great slice! Good prices, friendly staff. Best pizza in Somerville. One slice is a 1/4 pizza so be careful not to over order. Can get a little crowded inside but there is outdoor seating in warm weather. read more

4 stars for their Buffalo Chicken slice. Still prefer the original on Salem Street, but this is great call if you're in Assembly Row.

You are my place to go when I want a pizza. Order a slice? You get a quarter of a pizza. It's great. The buffalo chicken is always on point. Tried the spinach and garlic - and I would maybe prefer less spinach but either way, it was flavorful. Craving pizza? Go to Ernesto's. read more

Convenient spot to grab a bite before going to a movie. Downside as others have mentioned is that it's very small. We had to hover a little waiting for a table but eventually got a seat. The buffalo chicken pizza was beyond good. Lots of chicken and enough of a kick without setting your mouth completely on fire (although I don't mind since I love me some spice). Yes you get a quarter of a pie sliced in half. It was very filling and beat me having to spend $20+ at the movies on some candy and popcorn read more

its good, I have been twice and when in the area I would go back. is it the best pizza no, is it in my top 5, I would say yes. I think what it is lacking is sauce. can be a little dry. but don't get me wrong it is good pie. being from rhode island I am use to casserta pizza and palmieri's which in my view are the best in new england read more

Huge slices of pizza. I wish they were open later so my drunk self could enjoy them even later!

Ernesto's pizza is some of the best pizza I have ever had. The gluten free pizza is also very very good. The pizza slices are huge and really tasty so the price is well worth it! Amazing spot! read more

slices are huge which is great but idk...the pizza is made and put out into the case, unless you get there just as they made it, you aren't getting a fresh pizza and well whats the point of an old pizza? i dont just mean oh its two hours old, some of them look dry and unappealing, probably been out front in the case since they opened in the morning, ive shown up once at around 3 another time around 5 both times i just said "whatever you just made is fine" because the rest of the pizza in the case looked dry and horrible. so im paying like six bucks for two large slices of a pizza that is not the pizza i would prefer to eat because id rather have fresh than the toppings id prefer? i really thought ernestos would serve and make whole pies as ordered because they have a good reputation elsewhere....but this cafeteria style pizzeria is frankly a bad idea...like the outlet stores that surround it, you think you are getting the "real" thing but its just a lesser version of the original read more

Loved it. Super delicious, (I only tried cheese) and definitely one of the largest pizzas I've ever seen, we ended up with plenty of leftovers. The staff was very friendly and provided us with enough plates and napkins for a lifetime, which isn't a huge deal, but nice to know they aren't being cheap on you. I'm glad I found this place, not the most affordable pizza but worth the price. read more

This place is great! The pizza was perfect. Even my wife, who thumbs her nose at thin crust pizza was blown away. The only downside is the size of the joint. We took our 5 kids there to eat and easily filled up a third of the dining area. I got the cheeseburger pizza and thought I would only eat half of the huge slice because it looked heavy and over-filling, but it was soo good! Light enough that I ate the whole thing and didn't feel bloated and stuffed after, but it still filled me up. People complain about having to buy a quarter slice but we certainly didn't mind. We just boxed up the leftovers and took them home. Definitely worth it! read more
