I totally forgot I said I was going to go here til I was grabbing a smoothie in silver lake. I ceased any shopping there and came over. This area of Glendale is typically shit to park in. This is worse. I thought WF was bad. Anyway. I did find a spot once I actually got in. Getting off the fwy puts you at a disadvantage having to wait for traffic. Stores obviously crowded. Not even opened a week so I get it. And with that I hope the parking lot tames in time. It's spacious tho. I super enjoyed my experience. Omar helped me in the hot bar and I knew I recognized him. He trained at the Pasadena store! They switched from slices to personal pizzas and I was hungry. The pizza guy didn't have on a name tag but he was great. He asked if I wanted the one he chose. I didn't. I don't like overly charred anything and avoid it as much as I can so he got me a different one, happily. That's how service should be. ask your customers what they want. Kudos to him, sorry I didn't ask his name. I was able to find some things I hadn't found at other stores, including my beef chili so I'm instantly a fan! They have their own smoothie but it's not a monthly thing and I had the Mother's Day smoothie in the car so I'll try their signature another time. I found a couple other things I'd been looking for, so I'm a fan. To that end if I recall this was the most I've dropped at once at any store. No ragrets. I left my wallet in the car, forgetting I'd never been to this store and my card wasn't on file or setup. All good, Freddy was dope. Kind, funny and everything you want a checkout experience to be and that I've come to expect at Erewhon, vip or not. I didn't even look to see which register was priority checkout because it wasn't needed at the time. He and I laughed how other locations had Glendale bags but they had the standard Erewhon paper bags. I had to go back to Pasadena bc I forgot something and I got my Glendale bag there. I'm happy they're here and will just expect the parking lot chaos of Glendale when I come. I'll put up with it for the service, space and items I love! read more

Super stoked that it finally opened. SFV needs something bougie to bring the area back to life. The store itself is beautiful as always. Neatly organized, modern, hot bar foods that's delicious and all the trendy health items you can think of...Yes, the prices are steep but let's be real, nobody walks into Erewhon expecting bargain deals. Now the parking situation? Absolutely atrocious! The lot is way too small for the amount of traffic this place is pulling in right now. Thankfully there were parking attendants during my visit helping direct traffic flow otherwise, it would have been complete chaos. Even street parking is limited. I know I shouldn't recommend this but when Chase Bank was closed, most people were utilizing their lot to temporarily park! Glad this place made its way here but I do prefer the Pasadena, CA location a lot better. If that parking lot isn't handled properly, I think it makes everyone's shopping experience unpleasant. read more

REST IN PEACE, VIRGIL'S HARDWARE STORE! Against our better judgement, we decided to give this new location a try a couple of days ago --and wow, it was a mess. The parking lot is a one-way maze with a single entrance and exit. People were honking, squeezing into anything that looked remotely like a parking space, and generally parking wherever they felt like it. Inside, the line for the tonic bar was pure chaos. None of the self-ordering iPads worked. Employees kept asking customers to step out of line to try ordering on the tablets, only for them to fail and everyone to shuffle back into the same spot they started in. We ordered the Vibe-C and Glendale Bird's Milk smoothies. The Vibe-C was solid - tangy and not overly sweet. The Glendale Bird's Milk, which is exclusive to this location, tasted like...nothing. Truly living up to its name, because it was basically flavorless slushy milk. The cost for both smoothies was $31 including tax and tip The hype is not real. I understand new spots need time to work out the kinks, but at these prices, they should be doing better - and they definitely have the resources to. Another Erewhon opening and having one in Glendale was a big move! This location is right by the freeway and they have their own parking lot. I came early so it wasn't packed. The inside is spacious and gorgeous. I picked up some yogurt and their strawberry glaze smoothie (my fav) and service was quick and workers are all friendly. read more

Welcome to Glendale Erewhon. What a beautiful store it turned out. I watched it being remodeled from a hardware store to this for the last couple of months. Erewhon carries high quality products and is know for its delicious smoothies. It's also known for its high prices in pretty much everything sold here..... ....I love eating here because their hot food bar is amazing. Clean organic and super delicious. Food price is on the higher side but you are paying for quality. No seeds oils or artificial flavors etc.... The coffee bar and the bakery is pretty good too. Quality and unmatched taste. Now let's go check this place out. I will start with an iced coffee drink then walk my way through the store to see if they have any specials since it's opening day. We would get our eggs here among other sundries. Erewhon Glendale has the same UP vibe. Although it's a generational difference, before pick up truck and station wagons would pepper the parking lot. Now there are Maserati SUVs, Defenders, Lucids, Teslas and Rivians, mostly motored by extraordinarily regime fit bodies clad in alō, lulu, or some other scantily clad second skin exercise wear B-lining for designer hydration! I was lucky to get street parking and avoid the mayhem of the beeping horns seeking access for opening day. I rolled in at 1:30 and it was PACKED. The gentleman at the door said the crowd had thinned out and I arrived at a good time! What? Staff and patrons were courteous vibing with the grand opening energy. I sampled Harry's Strawberries. They are perfection at $22 a package. A decade ago they were $8 at the Hollywood Farmers Market, which seemed like a lot back then. There are many Erewhon branded products on all the end caps of each aisle. And if you're into graphic art, check out the artistry on the sardine aisle cans. Will come back again, maybe when the store opens at 7am on a weekday to have breakfast. Today was a bit too vibrant and the lines too long. Worth checking out! read more

This Erewhon is so easy to find, ambience is friendly and parking is always a breeze. I love coming here to grab a smoothie from the tonic bar and to pick up cheeses for a charcuterie board. The service is always friendly, too. A great spot! read more

Because of the prices it's probably like a 3.5 but this one was pleasantly surprising. It's also extremely new, openly on Wednesday is what an employee told me! It's extremely nice and clean, modern. The staff is super friendly. The pizzas are actually really tasty and not as crazy expensive as everything else. The smoothies aren't that good and are very overpriced so save your money. Parking is crazy right now and it seems like an overwhelming amount of people but they handle the crowd well and it goes pretty quick. read more

I ordered a tote bag from Erewhon that arrived with visible bleach stains. When I contacted customer service to report the damage, I was told that what I was seeing was simply a 'natural variation in the canvas,' which was completely false and frankly insulting. Rather than acknowledging the defective item, they doubled down, insisted all sales were final, and made it clear they had no intention of helping me. After five attempts to get any form of resolution, I was essentially told I was stuck with a damaged product. It was only after I threatened to write a review that they offered an exchange, which I declined. At that point, a refund was the only acceptable resolution given the experience I had been put through. For a brand that charges premium prices and markets itself as a luxury experience, the customer service protocols and quality assurance are appalling. Being gaslit over an obvious defect on a $160 item is not the standard I expected from Erewhon. Buyer beware, if your order arrives damaged, don't expect them to take responsibility. read more

33 years of my life on earth and I had yet to find a normal watermelon, so what do we do, try to throw money at the problem. I end up here with my wife in search of a normal watermelon. I leave with $90 less in my account, a pack of strawberries, one watermelon, and one orange juice. You're better off walking in skid row wearing a Rolex at 3 AM, the chance of robbery is a lot less. Where are the strawberries? In the trash. How about the watermelon? In the trash. OJ? Half in the trash (I was thirsty I had to drink half). I promise you as we washed the strawberries, they disintegrated and turned into a 90 year old wrinkly ball sack. Just go to Vons. Watermelons went extinct years ago. Also, not sure why this place has valet parking, if you need to valet your car to buy a pack of strawberries or some groceries, you're likely missing several chromosomes. I don't even think Elon Musk would consider paying $30 for parking, then $20 for one plum. If you got that kind of money you should be home with a chef flying food to you directly from Europe. They always make sure you are satisfied with the kitchen made food bar items. Korean short rib bbq with Japanese sweet potato hit the spot. Parking was crazy! There are a few guys from the store in red shirts trying to direct parking, however, one was so frustrated instead of directing cars, he was yelling at customers. I was disappointed by my experience at this store, as I felt unwelcome and treated differently during my visit. With the exception of the staff member who greeted us at the entrance, the overall customer service lacked warmth and friendliness. My family and I have always enjoyed shopping at Erewhon especially in Pasadena because my daughter does not eat fruit, but she happily drinks a custom smoothie that provides her with similar nutritional benefits. This has made Erewhon a meaningful place for us to visit. Unfortunately, the service we received during this visit did not meet our expectations. As a result, we will likely consider visiting a different branch in the future. read more

I LOVE Erewhon. Every weekend I go on 9-12 mile hikes and it has become a tradition to stop by for protein bowls or açaí bowls sandwiches and smoothies they are simply the best. Low cal and tasty. My rating is based on the guy that is at the door welcoming people, after making eye contact with us for a few minutes while we waited for our order once we got it he stoped us asking if "we grab them from the stands" I came from my hike but I changed to my Arcteryx outfit and Solomon shoes (I don't look like a shoplifter I hope) it was the attitude honestly I was embarrassed with my friend who I was convincing to get a membership because they are all about wellness and health and the first thing they said was.. "how can they think you stole these things he was next to us at the waiting bar the whole time" I just hope they improve their attention to these matters you most know that smoothies, toasts and protein bowls are prepared or given to you after you paid for them. Beautiful store and friendly, helpful staff. My only complaint is that they skimped on making the outdoor seating area attractive like the one at the Pasadena store. The dining spaces seem like an afterthought with no sense of design. How about a water feature to help drown out the traffic noise or a fire pit like the one in Pasadena? More plants and even some trees would be great additions, too. I'm hoping that these areas will evolve into something more worthy of the brand's design reputation. read more

The coconut cloud smoothie was so bitter and nasty at this location. Ive been getting this drink all the time but I just tried it at this location it was so bitter I told them if they do anything different at this location and they said no but we can re-make it.
