Combo # 1, 14-Mezza Platter
Ricky D.

My family and I went to Erbil Kabob tonight and enjoyed it a lot. The inside is large with plenty of space for large parties. We had the Combo #1 platter and the Mezza Platter. The service was quick and friendly, and we received our food shortly after ordering it. The naan was HUGE and went very well with our combo tray and mezza platter. We enjoyed the Baba Ghannouj, Kibbeh and tabouli salad was very refreshing. The platter was massive and easily fed all 5 of us, with a lot of leftovers. Would highly recommend if looking for delicious Iraqi *kabob. I'd highly recommend ordering a large combo for a group and splitting it with friends, along with some extra naan!

10/10 service Muhammed was so warm and friendly! The interior is cozy and they were so generous with the serving size and extras! Hummus, naan, vegetables and a delicious bean soup were all complimentary with the family size platter we ordered. We had 4 people and barely finished even half of the meal it was fantastic value! We found our new favorite local kabob place and look forward to returning frequently thanks for the amazing service Muhammad! My one comment is I wish there was a fan or door closing the hooka next door closed, it didn't bother me too much but I could see how maybe some customers might be bothered by breathing in the hooka smoke while eating.

Salad, hummus, dips, grilled vegetables

I stopped by this shopping plaza on a Saturday afternoon and saw this restaurant and decided to check it out for the to go menu. The gentleman at the counter was very polite, helpful, and explained a few items to me. I decided to get the beef lamb Kabob with grilled vegetables to go. Along with hummus and dip. It came with a large, fresh, flat bread, so I was happy about that. Everything was delicious and fresh. The kabob had a real nice flavor. As I waited, I watched others come in for dine in and others ordered food to go. They serve soft drinks by the can. I think I saw a yogurt beverage and bottled water. Tea and coffee available. No alcohol. Since it's casual atmosphere, I would normally give 4 stars. However the guy at the counter was welcoming, so that bumped my experience up to 5 stars. And the portion sizes were good. There were some other appetizing items on the menu so I will be back to try!

Erbil Iraqi Restaurant is a delightful escape into the flavors of Iraq. What sets Erbil apart is not just the delicious food but the passion behind it. The Owner, Chef, & staff takes pride in sharing the rich culinary traditions of Iraq, making the dining experience not just a meal but a cultural journey. My dining experience was nothing short of spectacular, and I'm eager for a return visit to explore more of their delectable offerings. Erbil Iraqi Restaurant truly captures the essence of hospitality and exceptional cuisine. Best Part ! No Nonsense 20% Tips added to the receipt, No Tip Section on the receipt. We called ahead and asked to have masgouf special ordered, which they did and see the photos it was amazing. Nice place with walls and tables decorated very nice. Two Iraqis in our group, the owner came out and asked how is everything. The fish was cooked to perfection, not over or under and the flavors on it we all loved. The spicy amba and veggie salad were 100% fresh and the hummus and bread were very good also. What a nice place we will definitely be back!

When in the DC area this is a must stop for hookah and kebab. The service and food are amazing and the atmosphere is inviting. If only Philadelphia had a similar spot half a great. See you next time!

Most importantly, it is OK to share a table with a stranger--the United States is a gorgeous melting pot of people from all over and everyone has a story to tell, you only need to listen. Now to the food--falafel bowl, falafel sandwich, zaatar fries, falafel pack, shawarma wrap, hummus pita--everything is on point. We've been here multiple times over the years--kids, adults, seniors--everyone loves it. No one has had an upset stomach ever. Habibi and Invisible are family favorite sauces. One recurring issue is that sauces and condiments are often left empty even when the restaurant is not busy, and the food itself is frequently assembled very sloppily. Presentation and consistency matter, especially when customers are paying premium prices, and unfortunately this location does not seem to prioritize either. I've also ordered delivery from other branches multiple times, and one of the most frustrating patterns across locations is the extremely small amount of sauce provided. The sauce cups are already tiny to begin with, but many times they are only filled halfway. What makes this more confusing is that even when ordering a sauce sampler, which clearly suggests the customer enjoys the sauces and wants variety, the portions are still minimal. It gives the impression that the restaurant is trying to cut corners on very basic things that significantly affect the customer experience. Overall, between the inconsistent service, sloppy food preparation, and inadequate portions for add-ons like sauces, the experience has been disappointing enough that I would choose other options instead.

Here's why: - Quality: every item was fresh, and the falafel was not dry! I usually don't opt for falafel bc of how dry it is, but this one really wasn't! It was filling but moist and delicious. Also, the veggies and sauces paired well to give it flavor and texture. Again, usually not a fan of falafel, but I was this time. - Service: Food was pretty quick and the staff were really kind considering how busy the shop was. It took about 10 minutes to get the food. - Ambiance: This is a grab and go place. They have some high tables to quickly scarf down your meal or package your to go bag, but I suggest walking around Georgetown area to eat your food elsewhere. I will absolutely visit again and bring vegetarian friends. Such a bang for your buck!

I feel bad writing this but I believe Writing Authentic and honest review may inspire the owner to level up his food . That said, the food quality did not meet expectations. The falafel was overly firm and dry. The Greek salad lacked freshness--the lettuce appeared past its prime, and the tomatoes were soft and aging. Overall, it felt like a basic tossed salad with feta rather than a well-composed dish. The hummus had a smooth texture, but the flavor suggested a blended oil rather than a clean extra virgin olive oil profile. The pita was the strongest element of the meal--fresh and well prepared. Additionally, the use of styrofoam containers detracted from the overall experience. In summary, while the service at closing was considerate, the food did not reflect what I would consider high-quality or authentic Greek cuisine. .

I looked up at the menu and to my surprise the prices of the food options were quite affordable. I opted to go with the falafel bowl and m'lady went with the falafel sandwich, which were both under $10 each! We also split a healthy sized bag of zaatar fries and I could not resist getting their baklava. The food service was very quick and the employees were very friendly. After obtaining our food we went to their outdoor eating area where we stood and prepared ourselves to feast. Both the falafel sandwich and bowl were filled to the brim with falafel, cabbage, pickles, tomatoes, cucumber, and a substantial serving of tahini. We also had the privilege of being able to help ourselves to extra sauces, which included garlic sauce (toum), red sauce, white sauce, habibi sauce, and more tahini. After taking a few bites of the food, we knew we had made a great decision coming to this location. Dipping the zaatar fries into the garlic sauce became second nature, as the combination was truly delicious. The cherry on the top was their baklava that came in a small, sliding cardboard box. The baklava was not overly sweet and perfectly complemented the savory falafel dishes. I highly recommend coming here for an affordable and delicious meal!

There are Turkish plates and copper pots hung above, as well, to give a splendid feeling of how food can be heartily prepared and beautifully served -- and beautifully served it is here! The caffeine-free mint tea comes in a gorgeous metal pot and is drunk from a glass glass (meaning a glass made of glass, not ceramic) with eye-catching decorations that will help to bring you into the spirit of the meal you are about to have .... The Quinoa Tabouli Salad with Falafel is spectacular! It's standout amazing, delicious, refreshingly oh-so-fresh, crispy, crunchy, yummy -- how many good-to-great things can I say about it? If I keep complimenting it as much as it deserves, you might get bored, ha ha! You might think that I'm exaggerating. I'm not. Of course, it's possible I'm biased and have tastes that just happen to align with this particular falafel spot's way of preparing things -- but I think not! I think this is objectively over-the-top in greatness! The District Salad is equally splendiferous and worth your time to indulge in savouring every bite. There are so many great-looking things here I can't wait to try! I must taste the Shorbat Adas (puréed lentil soup), (non-quinoa) Tabouli, Toom, and many other things here! The variety is very wowing! Most places just don't give you this variety in terms of various dishes or the variety within each dish that this place does -- and that contributes greatly to not only your appetite but also your health. So much care is clearly put into everything here from the décor to the drinks to the hospitality. It's really like a mini, super-tasty trip to the Near East -- and welcomes everyone equally. I'm so glad I stopped in! I can't wait to go back! Highly recommended! Very much deserving of an absolute, all-around Yay! :-D (By the way, from a not-falafel fan I know: 'You know I'm not a fan of falafel, but that was really good -- everything! We need not ever go back to the other place -- even if it's free!' What better endorsement could there be?)
