Dalia's Falafel is quickly becoming my go-to for a delicious pita sandwich. I can't get enough of their Sabich Pita - it's got their warm and chewy pita bread, freshly fried eggplant and crisp veggies with creamy tahini. But the main this is that it has both french fries and sliced hard-boiled egg in it, too! It's the closest thing we have to a Primanti Bros. sandwich in the DMV (if you know, you know). And for that, I keep going back. A Sabich pita and a Spindrift is my go-to meal. If you haven't tried Dalia's, you are definitely missing out!

Dalia's Falafel in Bethesda is such a gem. The spot itself is small and charming, with a cozy seating area tucked behind the shop that makes it feel like a hidden find. Parking was easy, which is always a win in this area, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming--friendly, efficient, and genuinely on top of everything. I stopped by around lunchtime, ordered the chicken pita loaded with all the toppings, plus fries and a drink, and had my food in about five minutes. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and packed with flavor--the kind of meal that hits the spot immediately. Between the quick service, great vibes, and quality food, this place really stands out. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Man was I impressed here! The gentleman that took our order and prepared our meal was an incredible person. Super kind, knowledgeable, and polished. He gave us the background of the business and mentioned how they source organic and locally as much as they can (farmers markets). No seed oils! If memory serves me right they use avocado oil here. The ingredients tasted so fresh that it was evident they source from the farmers market. The meat is halal for those that prefer this, making it very welcoming to people from all walks of life. The ambiance was super unique and there was plenty of seating in the patio. If you haven't been, don't walk....run!

Delicious falafel bursting with flavor in every bite! Best falafel shop in the DMV area and worth the trek from McLean! It's in a stand-alone brick and mortar cute little yurt/hut shop on the corner right after the big intersection. It's quite cozy inside and there's no seating, only outdoor seating in the back. The house-made crispy flat falafel patties are surprisingly soft and very flavorful while typically most falafel are dense balls. The fluffy pita bread was stuffed with tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled veggies (carrots, onions) and topped with tahini and a little bit of ambar pickled mango sauce. The fried eggplant was quite tasty and the sweetness elevated the flavor and worth the $2 upcharge. Every bite of the pita sandwich was packed with a delicious blend of ingredients and best of all - the sandwich wasn't messy to eat and nothing fell out! The salad bowl is another good option as the falafel is the highlight with the complementary toppings without the heaviness of the pita. The crispy fries are delicious. The garlic aioli is delicious (definitely ask for it!) and the staff kindly gave me extra sides of sauce. The Pita Deluxe combo deal with a fully-loaded pita and crispy eggplant slices, fries, and drink for $15 is well worth it! All of the toppings elevate the flavor. There's a spicy kick! The humble staff are always super nice and I could definitely feel the passion. So glad the business has extended their hours to 7 days a week including Sundays now! Sat - Tues: 11am -2:30pm, and Wed - Fri: 11am - 8:30pm. Excited to come back for more falafel and garlic aioli!

Cute spot that is tucked away near Bethesda Elementary School. Hot tip - you can park there for free after 5pm on weekdays and then you are a very short walk away, if you go through the middle of the plaza! We enjoyed the protein-packed Sabich Deluxe pita and the Moroccan beef kabob bowl. Love all the pickled onions on top to give it some bite, and the spicy schug sauce packs a serious punch! The pita was packed full of goodness, but held together as you eat it - just the right amount of bread. Fries are fresh and tossed with salt and seasonings as you wait. Be aware that there are no restrooms or indoor seating. However the outdoor seating is a dream. In addition to the table and chairs just outside of Dalia's, there's also a slightly sunken plaza a few steps away with lots of places to sit and enjoy your food. I could see this being a great place to bring kids on the weekend, since there's lots of space to run around (as long as you plan ahead for the bathroom situation!)

"The best falafel in the D.C. area" is what someone told me. A very bold claim, I had to check it out for myself. After eating their standard falafel sandwich with all the fillings except for tomatoes, the claim may be true. (Though, I'll always love Falafel Inc for their flavor, mission, and price.) Here's my experience. 1) Food: Their menu is simple, but mighty. Their specialty is the falafel sandwich with all the toppings, but they also sell meat kabobs and other goodies on rice. I ordered the falafel sandwich with all the toppings except for tomatoes. The falafel comes in two patties rather than balls. It's so good. The pickled veggies and sauces add a kick. It's truly phenomenal! 2) Service: The two men behind the counter were very helpful and passionate about what they are building. It's excellent! 3) Space: The building is very unique. With a dome roof, it's small, but mighty. The only seating is outside, but it works. 4) Area: It's in old Bethesda. Street parking is easier to find during non-peak hours. Otherwise, consider walking or taking the Metro.

What an awesome lunch spot! Tried their pita with crispy chicken and it came out fast and piping hot which was great on a cold day. Super friendly staff who were patient with me when I was ordering and made sure I knew all the options I had for my pita. Ingredients were all fresh and tasty. They also mentioned that they use Angel pita (which are my favorite that I get from whole foods) but you can purchase in bulk from them at a better rate. Will be back for sure!

Good Falafel The Falafel is prepared as a patty instead of the usual form factor. The result ensures a bit of Falafel in every bite. The service is pleasant.

Amazing little place! I got the Thursday special- $9 falafel on pita with all the fixings. Absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients & well portioned. Very friendly service - can't wait to go back & try the chicken pita.

Grabbed lunch from them after seeing that they were donating a portion of the day's proceeds to a local charity. It was a good time to try them and eat for a cause! I ordered the beef kabob bowl with a side of the spicy zhoug and garlic aioli. I didn't know how else to customize the bowl so I just asked for all of the toppings. The portion size of the bowl was huge. I was able to split it into two smaller portions at home, so I had it for lunch and dinner. The kabobs were tasty as they were. The spicy sauce had a really good kick and the garlic aioli provided a break from my mouth on fire. Knowing now how it came without any customization, next time I would ask for - half the rice and a little bit of the pickled onions and radish. I'd keep the same sauce picks and on the side. The two gentlemen working behind the counter were friendly. Answered any questions we had about the different sauces. And the bowls were made fairly quickly. I'll come back for sure.

Super yummy pitas with fast and friendly professional service! I got the falafel pita with all toppings, hummus, tahini, cilantro sauce, and the spicy sauce and it's so delicious and fresh. Quality ingredients and so flavorful

What a gem right in the heart of Bethesda! My wife stumbled upon this spot online after seeing consistently great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. And wow--it *absolutely* lives up to its perfect 5-star reputation. One of my biggest complaints about falafel wraps and sandwiches in the past has been how dry they can be. Not here. The falafel sandwich was moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I also tried the beef kebab bowl, and honestly, even without the kebab, the rice, veggies, and sauces blended together so well that it would still be a 10/10 dish on its own. The location is super convenient (just 5 minutes from the Metro), the speed and price are like fast food, but the flavor is on another level--an absolute flavor bomb. This place is a no-brainer 5-star spot. I wouldn't be surprised if one day TikTok discovers it and suddenly there's a two-hour line out the door.

It's accessible with plenty of parking nearby, including several disabled parking spots right out front, is absolutely beautiful inside with stunning black-and-white tiles adorning the counter (where you can order -- although there is also a screen-type ordering system in the entryway, as well) wall, enticing photos of all the important things in life -- those being fresh figs, olives, spices, and unfiltered coffee being poured, all along the wall above the tables with most comfortable seating! There are Turkish plates and copper pots hung above, as well, to give a splendid feeling of how food can be heartily prepared and beautifully served -- and beautifully served it is here! The caffeine-free mint tea comes in a gorgeous metal pot and is drunk from a glass glass (meaning a glass made of glass, not ceramic) with eye-catching decorations that will help to bring you into the spirit of the meal you are about to have .... The Quinoa Tabouli Salad with Falafel is spectacular! It's standout amazing, delicious, refreshingly oh-so-fresh, crispy, crunchy, yummy -- how many good-to-great things can I say about it? If I keep complimenting it as much as it deserves, you might get bored, ha ha! You might think that I'm exaggerating. I'm not. Of course, it's possible I'm biased and have tastes that just happen to align with this particular falafel spot's way of preparing things -- but I think not! I think this is objectively over-the-top in greatness! The District Salad is equally splendiferous and worth your time to indulge in savouring every bite. There are so many great-looking things here I can't wait to try! I must taste the Shorbat Adas (puréed lentil soup), (non-quinoa) Tabouli, Toom, and many other things here! The variety is very wowing! Most places just don't give you this variety in terms of various dishes or the variety within each dish that this place does -- and that contributes greatly to not only your appetite but also your health. So much care is clearly put into everything here from the décor to the drinks to the hospitality. It's really like a mini, super-tasty trip to the Near East -- and welcomes everyone equally. I'm so glad I stopped in! I can't wait to go back! Highly recommended! Very much deserving of an absolute, all-around Yay! :-D (By the way, from a not-falafel fan I know: 'You know I'm not a fan of falafel, but that was really good -- everything! We need not ever go back to the other place -- even if it's free!' What better endorsement could there be?)

(And yes! I succeeded!) The benches are a light, bright-looking wood. There are also regular tables for those who prefer that .... It's amazing how much spacious seating is packed into this little place! I wish the outside reflected the new, light beauty but I guess the treasure is only to be found by those who venture in .... As an Israeli-in-America, I appreciate the selection of Israeli drinks in the cooler, and of course the national snack of falafel! Some say they don't put fries in the pitas -- well, yeah! That's true! If you don't ask, you don't receive! I ask! I receive! I do sometimes find the sandwiches to be kind of messy, so I try to sometimes get less various salads and pickles and such so it's not completely overflowing -- because this place is GENEROUS! Of course, if you're not used to kosher food, you'll probably not understand that it does cost more because for one thing (out of many!), there has to always be an 'extra' person called a mashgiach (supervisor in Hebrew) who oversees everything to make sure it's all, well, kosher! Kosher meat is more expensive, too. And yeah, meat doesn't come with dairy! So that is not available. I heard someone asking if they had a cheeseburger and had to work to not crack up about it! I LOVE the grilled eggplant bits you can get put in -- they're special, not in the regular line up, right there at the end -- because not only do they add so much flavour and texture with so little bulk, but eggplant is one of those things I usually cannot eat because it hurts my oh-so-sensitive tongue, but this place makes it per-fect-ly, mmm ... ! So delicious! I enjoy both purple and green cabbage and carrots, but I don't like the flavour of the onions. That makes me sad, because I LOVE onions, but these ones have something on them that I don't like (looks like it's sumac -- which is ironic, because that's something that I normally love and use all the time!) and I end up picking out when I sometimes forget or get hopeful and just get them again anyway .... Actually, the onions are one of the few condiments here I do not like! The pickled beets are great -- and of course, great for your liver! They are cleansing, nutritious, and boost your Russian-ness, to boot! Or your Russian Jewishness, anyway .... I know that eating them makes my grandmother proud! The benefits of eating here are not and are also not like ones you can attain in just any regular restaurant, and it's here for people who want this kind of thing. It literally is a cornerstone, being on the corner and providing the things certain of us need -- Israeliness, Jewishness, kosherness, etc. It's too bad it suffers from bad reviews by people who don't understand or care. By the way, the work that goes into making all these salad items fresh every day is, let's just say, a LOT! I almost always get the falafel -- I used to get a platter, but it was too much for a meal so I switched back to the classic pita version and that's a perfect amount for me for a meal, plus I feel it's better for the environment because it comes packaged minimally in a little parchment paper rather than a recyclable aluminum plate with a non-recyclable aluminum-and-paper top. Truth be told, I could have trouble finishing writing this review because thinking of Oh Mama Grills' falafel is making me so hungry! I am really getting in the mood for some right now! Other things I eat from here regularly (and have for years): Israeli salad Moroccan (vegetarian) cigars Rice Other things I know are great by way of seeing the delight on my eating partner's face while consuming: Okay, I so I don't remember, but various meat things! Chicken, I think .... Things I don't love from Oh Mama Grill: Bean soup -- didn't have enough flavour for me .... Sabich. I dunno. Just didn't love it! It's hard to top falafel, in my opinion -- well, this falafel from this place, that is -- so I don't feel the need to explore the menu very much .... There aren't a whole lot of places (if any!) that offer such a variety of salads, pickles, and sauces! As an absolute pickle-lover who finds pickles and not just that but a variety of pickles a MUST for my diet, this place has it going on like no other! Update! Tried sitting on a bench at a booth! It's pretty hard, not super-comfortable, but doable -- however, a harder seat is better for your posture and health long-term! The falafel pita with toppings aplenty is so delicious, I am craving one right now ... and, in case you've ever tried some of the marinated types of vegetables here and found them too sour, I did too! Now, that is fixed. They are no longer so sour, and are therefore much more eminently edible! My eating partner agrees.

I had their Falafel Bowl, considered a vegetarian option, which came with basmati rice topped with a Mediterranean salad, 5 pieces of falafel, and seasoned onions, with a cup of tzatziki sauce. The Mediterranean salad consisted of diced tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, and mint leaves tossed in a lemon juice and oil oil dressing; this was fresh. The rice was cooked well, but it was just way too much of it in the bowl. The falafel were crispy and not dried out, which I appreciated. The onions were okay, and not necessarily needed in the dish. I wasn't a fan of the tzatziki sauce, as it was a little thin and watered down, and a bit too herb-forward in taste. My counterparts wasn't a fan of their chicken wrap, as it didn't contain much chicken, and they weren't fans of the sauce, either. They ended up taking out the chicken and making their own sandwich out of it and tossing the rest. I'm glad I was able to give this place a try, but not sure if I'd go out of my way to return. +look for the food truck on the PL level at BMP +avoid the tzatziki sauce

This place (chain, not this particular location -- but I can't write it about the particular location, because I never found out which exact one it was!) fed us towards the very beginning of pandemic lock-downs when restaurants were all still closed, not allowed to be open. We went and picked up our gloriously delicious falafel sandwiches from a synagogue parking lot -- gratefully! The pita and falafel balls were both sumptuously soft and fluffy -- so much better than so many other pita breads and falafels around ... not to mention that culturally speaking, there is no place like it and I just felt so comfortable here. Even while going by, I felt so much better having this place in the area, seeing the signage, feeling the vibe .... Shouk, you are dearly missed! Please know how much you are appreciated, still! You changed my experience of this area! You let me know what was possible ....

The ordering process is straightforward, with clear descriptions of the item's ingredients and options you can do for your bowls. We ordered a Two-Way Eggplant Bowl and a Make your own. Also got a side Kale Salad and a side Lentil Soup. Everything was delicious and looked and tasted fresh. The service was quick. It's at the end of a shopping mall next to Mom's Organic Market. Parking is available and free.

I don't know why, but I was really impressed by the staff. Friendly, patient, knowledgable and hard-working, they didn't miss a beat while assisting the customers coming in. I love the low maintenance approach with the larger than life mission: helping and giving back to those most desperately in need. After taking my time to walk around the store and take in the iconography, I've gotta say I'm impressed and will come back in the future. The ambiance is def fast casual, but the meal totally feels a cut above. This review is getting long, so I'll end with this: as Ramadan approaches, I'm happy that their is a halal spot on my block that also embodies the reason and motion behind the practice. I'll def slide back at the right time to break my fast, and feel grateful to see a business practicing what they preach.

I've had the Falafel Bowl at the Pike and Rose location before, and it was good, but just wanted something relatively cheap and small since we were about to have a big dinner. Stumbled upon Falafel Inc and got a $5 falafel sandwich. First of all...WHAT A STEAL. For $5 it doesnt get better! The falafel itself was super crispy, the lettuce, tomato, and onion were fresh. We got some of the white sauces on the side and devoured the thing at the counter within 5 mins. If you're looking for a snack at the mall highly recommend getting their falafel sandwich!
