I have done carry-out from here many times over the years but mostly pizza. The pizzas are excellent, especially the white pizzas. There are only couple little tables inside and couple of tables outside during the warmer month. The staff is very friendly. For this visit, I got the Doner pita sandwich and Greek salad with Doner. Both were very tasty. Definitely a place that we would visit again.

we recently tried a new pizza spot to us in Bethesda: Aden Pizza . While I usually am an avid yelp searcher when it comes to trying new places, we actually received a paper menu in our mailbox about this restaurant and decided to give it a shot. I usually throw these away but decided to keep it for future takeout purposes. Not only is this a place to get pizza, it also serves up TURKISH DISHES! We only tried their pizza but they make various pide, kofte, kebabs, baklava, and other Turkish dishes. Our "favorites" were the Buffalo Chicken Pizza (not overly Buffalo-y and a winner in our book!) and the mozzarella sticks. The supreme pizza was good but not sure we would get that one again. Caesar salad was average, and we thought the croutons were a bit dry. DINNER Buffalo Chicken Pizza Supreme Pizza Mozzarella Sticks Fries Caesar salad

Whadya call pizza with ground beef and no cheese or tomato sauce? It's a Lahmacun and it is excellent! U can even top it with onions or salad. Been here a number of times and found the food incredible or eh. The lahmacun is incredible! The pide is great. Not a great place to enjoy incredible food. The outside seats work well in Spring or summer. Winter keeps you inside in less than comfortable surroundings. Would also let you know that the 11 am open time is when tHey get there, not when they are ready. But, wanna watch a soccer game and eat well. This is the place. Try the lunch specials.

Steak and Cheese Sub

When we first moved to Bethesda we were on a kick to try as many unique restaurants as we could. This plan was foiled once we stumbled upon Aden Pizza. Night after night we found ourselves stating "let's order Aden again". My wife and I got hooked on their steak and cheese subs. The fries that come with it take it over the top. Being that my wife only eats halal meat she thought she had died and went to heaven. Even the beef pepperoni was halal! We usually do carry out but have used their personal delivery service as well. They are fast and friendly. The only downside is the restaurant itself can only seat 4-8 people.

After seeing Creed & Concussion as part of our CHRISTmas family gathering, we all decided on trying Aden for a family dinner....what a great decision! I started on Yelp, then went to Eat/24 & then their website & found out that they offer a 20% discount for 1st time users via their App...downloaded & we were ready to order. Well, I had to make one phone call for a quick inquiry, got a holiday greeting, got my question answered, & then we ready to order. Mom - I went with the Mixed Meze Platter. It comes with Hummus, babaghannush (grilled eggplant, garlic, olive oil & tahnini mixture - I 86'd the yogurt), ezme (nice salad concoction of tomatoes onions, parsley, peppers & spices - yummy), sigara borek (deep fried dough with feta cheese - those were put in another container for my daughter), falafel & of course pita bread, which was grilled & seasoned with olive oil & garlic. & for the price of $11.95 you get a nice portion of each item, DELICIOUS! Son - Steak & Cheese Sub, with the basic grilled onions, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes & mayo...however, it was the biggest & Philly looking Steak & Cheese I have seen in a very long time. Of course, it came with a huge portion of french fries & condiments. Daughter - Chicken Kebab Wrap, with a very seasoned/marinated chicken (nice aroma to it), lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, tzatziki sauce & french fries. They both had Baklava that was prepared with light & flaky dough & the special filling of walnuts, pistachio & honey sugar syrup. Of course I asked if butter was used, they did. :-( I just enjoyed the dessert vicariously through them. This avenue of ordering in oppose to the original reservations of a hotel meal worked out perfectly as we got plenty of food for the dollar & was able to kick back, fellowship & play Monopoly until 1am! What a fantastic way to end this special day with La Familia of celebrating, exchanging gifts, watching movies & being overly full on good food. Happy Holidays!

Specials

Was very pleasantly impressed with my Doner Shawarma and fries order. The pita meat was plentiful and wholesome, the bread was well toasted, fries were seasoned well and crunchy and the tzatziki yogurt tasted like real yogurt and served on the side ensured no soggy delivery. If you're looking for a quick bite with Halal, humanly prepared meat, I highway recommend this friendly staff delicious option. Can't wait to try their wings and pizzas as well!

Still don't know how I stumbled across this place on yelp but I'm glad I did. All the food here is Halal. I placed the ordered online and received the delivery within an hour. The pizza was hot and fresh. If you love pizza then you should check this place out.

The sandwiches are huge. This is the chicken kebab sandwich.

Solid take out. The pide and pizza are both really good. Kebabs are consistently tasty. You get a lot of food for the price and the delivery is usually fast.

Almost don't want to rate this, because I want to keep it a secret. Best Greek food in the area. We do at least once a week.

Our waiter was very nice and we were not real interested in appetizers. The bread they offer is so fresh with a wonderful crust. My colleague ordered garlic bread, but I'm not a fan of that. I ordered the shrimp Parmesan. we had the veal piccata ordered by another person, two lasagnas and more real dishes. Every dish was exceptional flavorful and well made. I'm sorry to see that their express store closed but it's still great to see They are open on Cordell Avenue. Definitely a must visit.

DO NOT GET THE CARBONARA!…read more (I was craving carbonara tonight) I got the - -Spaghetti carbonara -veal francese -garlic bread -small side of parmigiana cheese Prices were somewhat high Portions were medium The carbonara was very bad. Completely solidified when I tried to eat it I stuck my fork into it, and the whole thing pulled out of the container at once stuck together. It has a bunch of caramelized in it, some of which were burnt. You can visually see solidified, egg yolks, and egg whites. This is the worst carbonara I've ever had in my life (I've eaten carbonara hundreds of times) The veal francese was very good, crispy, flavorful, and had 1/4 a lemon to squeeze on it. The butter pasta it came with was good as well. The garlic bread was ok, large raw chunks of garlic on top of oiled toast. The small side of parmigiana was good, good cheese quality and more than I thought I would get. Keep in mind I did get this delivered. I called the restaurant and told them about the order. And they said to call them next time I order and they would see what they can do. I have to say they have good service. And I have nothing to say as far as ambience.

What an amazing lunch!…read more I'll start by saying I have been to Olazzo before, but today's lunch was special. I was introducing my girlfriend and my mom to each other. The host was so friendly and helped get us seated in a booth, and very shortly after seating we were greeted by our server Josh. Josh was very polite, and I felt good vibes before the food ever hit the table. He recommended their special, a trout on pasta dish. The entree had a very generous portion of fish, and our server made sure to drop off everything we needed to accompany our food, extra cheese, water refills, he was attentive and took great care of us. Next time I dine at Olazzo, I'm going to be looking for Josh!

Sunday February 15th 4:00pm…read more I normally don't include personal feelings when reviewing. This is an exception. We were in the area and decided to try this spot. Hostess, gentleman who seated us, and our server were wonderful. The food wasn't the best ever but it was good. We decided to give it a shot despite low customer ratings. We are Black Americans. When we walked in I picked up on a negative vibe but dismissed it. When you walk into a small establishment and it get's quiet or you get the looks turn and no one speaks turn around and leave. There were a few people at the bar chatting up staff (regulars). As we walked by the bar headed to the table I glanced over to the what clearly was the person in charge. I smiled no response. We eat, I head to the ladies restroom. I passed the same gentleman who, again looked directly at me, I smiled and he turned his head. I passed by him on the way back to the table. I specifically looked him the face and smiled. He looked at me and again turned his head blatantly. We are aware of prejudice so I didn't let him get under my skin. I smile and speak to anyone and am happy to do so whether it is reciprocated. It takes negative energy to be mean spirited. Willing to take our money but refuse to acknowledge us as paying customers. We spent quite a bit for two people. I will not recommend this place if it was the last Italian restaurant. To the owners- I could not tell if you were the person I encountered today or a manager. Either way- Just Wow.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry looking at what was delivered to me. This pizza is an absolute…read moredisgrace. The crust is burned in some places and undercooked in others, like it couldn't decide which level of failure to commit to. The toppings are a random mess--onions tossed like someone sneezed them on, olives rolling around like loose change, and sad green peppers that look more boiled than baked. Half of the pizza looks like it gave up halfway through cooking, and the other half looks like it survived a house fire. Pepperoni? Barely there. Cheese? Patchy. Sauce? Overpowered by bitterness from the charred crust. Honestly, this isn't a pizza--it's a crime scene in a cardboard box. If you want to know what disappointment tastes like, order this. Otherwise, save your money and your dignity. I don't even know if I'd try this again if it was free. -A Pizza Connoisseur

It was my first time here. Let me start with that. We've walked by this place a dozen times but…read morenever made our way in. My family and I are always looking for a new pizza spot to try and AP was the right place and the right time. I'll talk about the space for a minute. It's a small pizza place. It's not meant for groups. They have maybe four or five tables. This is more of a quick bite or grab a slice at the counter before the movies kind of place. If I can wrap up the vibe and the decor in three words, I would use modern, hipster and clean. I kind of dug the feel. It has a tiny bit of grit to it and that's more than I can say for most of Bethesda. So because we started with a group of four eventually joined by my brother-in-law's family of four, we ended up squeezing about eight people into a small booth. This was by choice. But they were accommodating. I wouldn't recommend this place for groups, but the service was outstanding and it felt like an A+. Here what stood out from our order. They have mixed drinks on their menu and if you have an old-fashioned on your menu, I'm going to try it. I really enjoyed mine. The focaccia bread with garlic butter was incredible. I highly suggest you try that if you're gonna come in. Of the two pizzas we got, I thought the plain pie was better than Tony's pie. Ordering food, whether you're sitting down or taking your food to go is also really easy. They have self-serve kiosks and I'm all for that. Back to the service, as I was ordering our food through the self-serve kiosk and the staff was more than happy to give their two cents or answer any questions about the menu. I don't have any real negative notes. I know I gave 4 stars, but there are no fractional ratings on Yelp, unfortunately. I would say somewhere around 4.25 was my gut score. I'll add that going to a restaurant one time does not paint a complete picture. I'll probably come back to try more items. I recommend you give it a try.
