On weekdays, it's usually quick to get in and out! There is always plenty of parking on the residential streets nearby. You order at the register, and they'll call out your name when your order is ready. They have some seating indoors and outdoors, but it's a relatively small space so it does get crowded on the weekends but I've never had to wait too long to find a place to sit! Breakfast is served until 11 on weekdays and noon on weekends and lunch is served all day! Their menu is labeled clearly with what's vegan and vegetarian. They do have an option to sub for gluten-free bread for any sandwich, although I haven't personally tried the gluten free bread. Marty's breakfast sandwiches are an absolute must try! Their focaccia has a fluffy interior and lightly crispy exterior, and the toasted sesame seeds on it add a nice layer to the flavor. The eggs are perfectly fluffy, and the cheese is perfectly gooey and melty. It is, in my opinion, one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the cities. I also think the hash browns are THE best hash browns you can buy. They're house-made, with the potatoes grated more finely than your typical hash brown. They have a fluffy interior, crispy exterior, and are salted to perfection. I like them with a side of aioli, but they're also good on their own! I would highly recommend going to Marty's, and especially recommend their breakfast!

Pro tip check their instagram stories to see if they're sold out. They make their focaccia bread daily and when it's gone it's gone for the day. It's normal to spot a long line, don't let that make you hesitate. It goes fast and is so worth it. My absolute love em items: Pool & Yacht Club (this sandwich could be my love language. The first time I went here I had lunch and also got another sandwich to have later for dinner because it was that good.) Chocolate Olive Oil Cookie (this is one of the best cookies I've ever had hands down. Crispy but soft, smooth chocolate, salty bits, so. frickin. good. I am not usually a chocolate cookie gal but dang this one is beyond good) highly recommend getting your own because you're not gonna want to share. Maybe get one for later too even. You won't regret it. Additional shout out for their breakfast sandwich and hash browns. Yummm They also have a cute little patio out back to enjoy. Although it is mostly popular with a younger, well-to-do crowd, the owners make an effort to contribute to social justice through anti-ICE organizing, free hygeine supplies in gender-neutral bathrooms, etc. It gets super busy during the Saturday brunch hours, so be prepared to wait a bit! We were lucky and got a table quickly but it was very crowded and loud for a bit. They seemed a bit short-staffed, too, although everyone we encountered was still friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are superb! The portions are on the smaller side but they're actually priced accordingly, which is rare these days. We highly enjoyed the waffle and the pork cutie.

This is very small space is made even smaller in the winter without their patio space available. It is always busy and they definitely have some regulars! Order at the bar, take a number, and sit down. Cozy quaint interior. I love that they are creative with their menu and rotate items. Some things can be hit or miss based on personal tastes, but overall the food is crafted skillfully and with care! My favorite breakfast sandwich is the Chefs Special Cutie! I've tried most of them! The Lily Tomlin is also something I would typically love (like a Monte Cristo) but the garlic completes too much with the marmalade. My partner also thoroughly enjoyed the creamy Chai Tea in a ceramic cup! Residential street parking, but not too hard to find a spot.

I love myself a cheesesteak and I wanted to see if this would be a new favorite I'd enjoy wearing out. They loaded this sandwich with onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. They added some of their pasta sauce on the bottom as well. The sandwich was good, but I thought it needed a bit more flavoring/spices. The bread was some of the softest I've experienced though and the cheese was a good amount. The combo was paired with a pickle spear and a bag of potato chips. This may sound strange, but can potato chips steal the show? Because they did. Super crunch and salty. Yum-O! I tried their coleslaw too and it seemed like to sat there awhile. It was tasteless and I ended up throwing the pint out. I will say the staff here are very friendly and helped me decide on some sandwiches and gave me an honest review of their favorites and least favorites. I appreciate that. I'm sure those chips will bring me back in the future and I'll be open to trying another sandwich.

Conveniently located off Johnson NE (free parking on the street), this local restaurant serves up some good hoagies, sub-marino sandwiches (see what I did there?), pasta, and other Italian food. It's a unique restaurant because it's kind of like a deli and fast casual restaurant with a few tables inside, but when I arrived shortly after 1 pm, it was pretty empty. Overall, the service was great, it's a family-owned place and the mother and daughter were working and were very pleasant. The place smells terrific, if you like Italian food and good sauces. While the decor is a step-back in time, I really enjoyed the taxidermy walleyes which is a true reflection of being a Minnesota business. The sandwich I selected was good, came with a small bag of chips, and wasn't too pricey - the prices are actually pretty good, but the only thing I would say is the sizes aren't huge. I recommend Marinos if you are in the neighborhood and definitely want to try the pasta and meat ravioli next time!

Food 5/5: We are big BBQ fans, and I believe this is the best BBQ in the twin cities. We had the chips and queso, St. Louis style ribs, pork belly, mac and cheese, dilly beans, beans, apple pizza, peanut butter pie, and both old fashions. The chips are homemade and so good! Lightly salted and the perfect amount. Of crunchy. The ribs and pork belly were warm, tender, and spiced perfectly. Everything we had was well spiced, and overall high quality with exception to the Mac and cheese, not much flavor but would be perfect for a kids meal but didn't match their overall level of the other food. Service 5/5: they use a QR code ordering system. Everything we ordered came within 10 -20 minutes of ordering. Silverware and all other essentials are located at your table, but there were people around to ask if you needed anything. Ambiance 4/5: when this space is full it is very loud. If there is a band playing you won't be able to hear table conversation. Something else to note, you may share a table with another group, so if that's a deal breaker to you know that is their style. They have a kid space which was packed, but overall an amazing thing to offer. Overall if you're ok with a loud and crowded space, this place is great. Overall we loved this new location. The food was great, the service was fast, and the ambiance was inviting but loud.
