The prices are higher than other nearby options, but it is well worth it for the quality. The food is fresh and they focus on local ingredients. Some of our favorites are the blueberry hotcakes, breakfast burrito, chicken sandwich, and the burger. We also love the flourless brownie! You order at the counter, but the food comes out fast and the staff always clear away dishes promptly. It does get loud when it's busy, but we don't usually mind since we have two small children who tend to contribute to that!

They were less than enthusiastic, but I thought I'd try it anyway. I should have followed their lead. The dish was salty and otherwise not very flavorful. Heart healthy maybe, but I definitely wouldn't order it again. I only ate about a third of my dish. The server asked what I thought. I said it was "ok". I tried to convey my disappointment without really complaining. She kind of shrugged it off and walked away. No offer of any sort of replacement or attempt to rectify the situation. Maybe I should have been more direct. Churchill St is also a semi self serve type of place, which is fine. I kind of like that. What I don't like is an assumed tip that starts at 18%. Other than bringing out our food, there is no service. We got our own water. Went up to the counter and ordered our own drinks. Eventually a girl in a camo hoodie cleared our plates but that's it. It seems like they want to position themselves as an upscale casual place, but they fall short in a few key areas (food and service) In fairness, we have had better meals here in the past . My wife's $14 Chardonnay was really good and a generous pour. Churchill has potential and I am sure we'll be here again, but probably not for a while. Too bad, so sad. I guess.
