Inside Ordering Area
Annie D.

We were excited to check out this new spot in Anoka! We stopped in on a Sunday night around 7:30 and it seems they still have some growing pains but show promise. My dad got the hot Bobbie and I got the French dip. We also got an order of fries. After we ordered we were told that hot sandwiches would be about a 30 minute wait which was longer than we expected but we decided to wait. The worker taking our order was helpful with deciding what to get or what to add on. There were several tables inside to eat but most were filled with people just waiting for their food. It probably took about 30 minutes to get the food. Because the hot sandwiches take so long, our fries were already cold when we got our food. However, I do enjoy this style of fry as they have that crunchy coating on them so I still thought they were great but would be amazing fresh. My French dip was good and I loved how peppery the meat was but I always think French dips could use more cheese. My dad got the hot Bobbie which I thought he would love as a thanksgiving sandwich is right up his alley. I took a bite as well and we both agreed the flavor was great but it could use more cranberry as it didn't come through as much as we wanted. Unfortunately, at the end of his sandwich he found a turkey bone. Luckily it was his last couple of bites so there seemed to only be the one but this is definitely something they'll need to be more mindful of. My dad lives in the area and said he would try it again! He'd like to give one of their other turkey sandwich's a go so luckily the discovery of the bone didn't totally ruin his experience.

I have been wanting to stop by this sandwich shop in Anoka. The bread was very fresh and soft. I opted for a hot Capstromi sandwich since it's a chilly MN day. It was freshly made to order, so it was nice and hot. It was a decent sandwich, but not necessarily something I would get again. hubby had the classic cheese steak, he thought Jersey Mikes is better.

Was really excited for this place to open! Clearly working out the kinks. Waited over 45 minutes for 2 subs!! Do not come here if you are on a schedule. Have multiple different size subs, liked the menu, offers something different than the classic jersey mikes or other sub spot. Well put together interior. Food was tasty. I'd recommend waiting a few weeks or ordering online.

The classic club and fries. Meat was kind of dry.

My cousin mentioned their French fries are so good, I had to go try them myself. New sandwich shop recently opened in Anoka, I was thinking about the other sandwich shops existing. So what makes this place stand out??? It's the French fries and wagyu beef. The restaurant is just like every other, walk in and place your order at the counter. For faster service, order online and pick up at the counter. They also offer points, for every purchase will get you to free sides or sandwich. Few tables and chairs available for dining in, otherwise alot of the customers were doing takeout.

These sandwiches blow Jimmy Johns and Jersey Mikes out of the park! Super fresh bread (not gf), hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, cheesesteaks, and salads. Decent amount of parking. A little pricey but competitive to jj's or jersey mikes. I'd rather have this over those chains.

The Bobby! Thanksgiving leftovers all sandwiched up!

I loved this place when visiting Arizona. Excited to see one local! I got the Bobby, it's like Thanksgiving leftovers wrapped up in a sandwich. Would love to have more cranberry (there was enough for the average person - but it was delicious and that's just me!). All employees were very nice and the place was very clean. I appreciate that they work with fresh ingredients! I waited about 10 minutes for it, but they were pretty busy. Being new I think they had some growing pains, but it was well worth it and I am guessing it will get even better! I'll be back!

The Bobbie

I used to go to this sandwich shop when I lived in Arizona, so when I saw they opened one in MN, I had to go! The service was fine - everyone was super friendly - we were greeted immediately with a smile and a hello which was so nice. It was decently busy inside, and it looked like a great place people go to on their lunch break. it only took like 7 minutes to get our sandwiches. We both got the Bobbie, which is absolutely delicious. It has shredded, fresh turkey, stuffing, the BEST cranberry sauce, and mayo. Very clean on the inside as well!

The menu is fairly basic, but the selections did taste great. We liked the garlic bread the best, we were able to eat the whole thing with just the two of us as they are so addicting! We also enjoyed the chicken Alfredo and like the meat sauce. It is downtown parking so street parking can be limited. Service was a little slow, it did take a bit for the garlic bread to arrive. It's a small little place that you would probably miss unless you really took the time to look at the building. There were six of us, and I loved that their menu was straight forward with about 10 main dishes to choose from. I got the cheese tortellini with steak. We also got the breadsticks as appetizers and I got a side cedar salad. The breadsticks were big and fluffy and it came with red sauce, but we also asked for Alfredo sauce to dip it in. The steak on top of my tortellini was cooked great! Was probably cooked to about medium-medium rare. The Alfredo was top tier. I loved the flavor and it was very creamy. They gave you a lot too which was nice. I liked the size of the Caesar salad, not too big, and the dressing was great. I wasn't a super huge fan of the croutons because they were a rye type of bread. We tried all three desserts and they were all very good. The lava cake was my favorite. The waitress was also the hostess. She was very nice. The only thing I would say was that it was a bit odd that she was wearing leggings and a crop top. Just felt a little unprofessional seeing her belly button piercing. She did a very good job serving us though. The food was very well priced and good portions because I walked away with extras. The place was relatively quiet for a Friday night. Please go check this place out!!

We came NYE so service was a little slower but friendly. Someone was making sure our waters were filled and used plates taken away. Food was definitely freshly made. We ordered the mussels for appetizer. We chose the spicy tomato sauce and it was yummy. My husband ordered the veal Marsala and it came with choice of soup or salad and a side of pasta. Penne with red sauce was the standard or upgrade to fettuccine Alfredo. Creamy clam soup was delicious. Nice and rich. Fettuccine noodles were over cooked but the cream sauce was so good. You can taste the fresh cream. It was slightly under seasoned but nothing a little salt didn't fix. The veal was nice and tender, lots of mushrooms, and a side of steamed green beans. This dish was also slightly under seasoned. I ordered one of the specials, a pasta bolognese. Supposed to come with penne but I requested it with fettuccine. Noodles were cooked better than the Alfredo but still slightly overcooked. The bolognese sauce was so delicious. They give you bread for the table but it was dense and lacked flavor. Glass of wine, appetizer, and two entrees came out be a little under $100 before tip. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Not a knock your socks off place but nice and cozy with freshly prepared dishes.

Spaghetti was the winner of the various foods we brought home I would definitely order that again. The Filetto had too many mushrooms and not enough beef or Gorgonzola for us. Alfredo was tasty enough, but not as good as the spaghetti. Service was good and the staff were very friendly. Ambiance is small, family, local feel. It is a small space inside so definitely suggest reservations if you're dining in.

The pros: portion sizes are huge, chicken tasted good The cons: waiter did not stop by the table once, my water was empty within the first 10 min of sitting there and i had to take my cup physically up to the counter to get water from them because i was so thirsty. I didnt see him once after that, he just stood up at the counter talking to the other server. The pasta was oily, they put so much cheese on everything that the oils from the cheese come out and my pasta literally had a layer of oil all around the plate. The mozzerella garlic bread barely had any garlic bread taste, tasted mostly like mozzerella. The mozzerella was also so oily that the garlic bread was just soggy 5 min after the waiter put the plate down. The price is steep, by myself i got an app and an entree only and it came out to 48$ before tip. Overall, for a spot with the reviews it has it completely let me down along with the locals who recommended it to me.

For lunch, I ordered the Chicken Marsala. You get to choose a side; options ranging from Alfredo Fettuccine to Green Beans to Mashed Potatoes to Spaghetti Marinara. I went for the Spaghetti. The meal also came with two breadsticks. Overall, the dish was decent but not remarkable. The highlight was the mushrooms in the Marsala wine sauce. They were flavorful and well prepared. The chicken itself was just okay. Without the sauce, it lacked seasoning, and the texture varied throughout the breast, with some parts tender and others noticeably tough or chewy. The spaghetti was good, though comparable to standard spaghetti you might find anywhere. The breadsticks, however, were disappointing; they were extremely hard and not enjoyable to eat. I also wish the Chicken Marsala and the spaghetti were packaged separately. Because of the amount of sauce, everything blended together in the container. I don't mind my food touching, but separating the items would make for a better presentation and texture. I do think other menu items may have more to offer. One mediocre experience isn't enough for me to write off the restaurant entirely, so I would consider trying something else in the future. However, I wouldn't recommend this particular dish based on today's order. Overall rating: 3/5.
