This is one of my very favorite places for breakfast, and I return often because the food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend the Original Bagel Sandwich--an everything bagel with bacon, American cheese, and a fried egg--paired with Oliver's hash. The hash has outstanding flavor and is truly a standout. Another favorite is the Scrambler (scrambled eggs with bacon, scallions, mushrooms, peppers, aged cheddar, and Oliver's hash underneath). Again, the flavor is excellent. If you enjoy a little kick, be sure to ask for their homemade hot sauce--it's terrific. I believe the ketchup is made in-house as well, although it's not quite to my taste. My one consistent disappointment with breakfast is that the menu never changes. They don't seem to offer specials, and I would really love to see new items introduced--whether occasionally or seasonally. Adding some variety would make an already great experience even better. I've considered going for lunch, but the current menu doesn't quite draw me in. I tend to go to specialty places for pizza or tacos, and while I'm sure the soup is very good, I can't justify $17 for a bowl. There are burgers and sandwiches as well, but nothing that really stands out to me. Again, introducing lunch specials or rotating items would make a big difference and likely bring me in more often. The atmosphere is excellent--comfortable, inviting, and full of charming little nooks and crannies, along with bar seating. If having a booth is important to you, I recommend making a reservation. read more

This place stays busy, and its easy to see why people meet here for a casual meal. The space feels inviting, seating was quick, and the service was smooth. The food had some standout elements, and the overall vibe made the visit enjoyable. Still, not everything worked. A later stop for dessert and coffee fell flat limited drink options and treats that didnt quite deliver. We've also had uneven takeout experiences with long waits and food losing its quality. We visited for my nieces 21st birthday and it was an underwhelming experience. I included the details about the birthday on our reservation but nothing was mentioned by the host or the server. The space is really beautiful, open and airy with many unique seating vignettes around the restaurant. Our server was nice but had little attention to detail. No knowledge of specials, kept asking if we wanted more water (I guess we're used to just having glasses refilled if empty). Nothing for the birthday girl. :( Not a huge deal but a little something would have been nice. The menu is really nice and offers a great variety but the food was just fine; nothing exceptional. Loved this eclectic restaurant which was recommended to me to try. The ambience, seating, decor and menu are next level. It's mostly an "American-esque" menu with a twist or little extra flair. They have a handful of locations across the metro area. We sat (party of 5) in this beautiful half booth and then two chairs on the outside. The drinks were delish and they had such a great variety of liquor options. I ordered a tuna poke bowl which I found out later is one of their most popular items on the menu. It was great and fresh but I could've used some more siracha aioli sauce cause that was delish! Cannot wait to come back and try some new options. Absolutely love this place and have been here many times. Really the only nicer restaurant in the surrounding suburbs and so we greatly appreciate that it's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've had many items on the menu and loved them all. The pizzas are the best thing on the menu imo but today I got the sandwich special which was a shrimp po boy and it didn't disappoint. My dining mates loved the pork belly tacos (spicy!) and the ranch house chicken. Mocktails were all dynamite. Among the better ones I've had and the prices are not unreal as they are at some places. Oliver's is a very cute, cozy place with great food and service. We went here on a Saturday for brunch before my niece's baptism so we had a pretty big group. Service seemed a little slower since it was Saturday and it looked busy. Pretty much everyone in the group gravitated towards two things on the menu. The Huevos rancheros and Oliver's sunrise. One person in the group got the flapjacks. Kids got Mac and cheese from the kid's menu and eggs. They devoured their food. The Huevos rancheros was delicious with avocado, salsa, refried black beans, queso fresco, chipotle aioli, over easy egg all set on top of crunchy tostada. Every one finished every single bite of it. The Oliver's sunrise is a big portion with eggs any style, bacon or sausage, toast and Oliver's hash. Every one seemed to enjoy it and had left over. The flapjacks were delicious I was told. Apparently, reservations are recommended as the hostess was not very happy that we did not have reservations. We were seated at a table which was about as big as a postage stamp. Actually, I think I've seen bigger postage stamps! At first our server was attentive. However, it seemed like we wore out our welcome because he didn't come back to clear our dishes or remove glasses (again, table was smaller than a postage stamp!). That being said, the food was brought out quickly and was very good!! While we visited in November and the patio was closed, it looks like their patio may be 'dog friendly'. Popped in here on a Sunday night visiting MN for the first time. Was craving a pizza and their pepperoni pizza was so good. I could see the cooks putting the pizza in a brick oven. Crust was perfect. Not too thin or thick. They had a nice drink menu. Husband loved his old fashion. I don't remember what I got but it was yummy!! They were packed! Server was sweet and packed up our leftovers for us. An impromptu trip took me here. I didn't know it was on the lower floor of condos. I'm surprised everyone who lives here hasn't gained 100#. I got here about 10 not crazy busy yet there was a big discussion as to where they wanted to seat me. Lots of reservations it seems. I got the sunrise breakfast. I love the large stone round plate that fit everything without it all piled up. The OE eggs were perfect even though at first glance they didn't appear that way. A large piece of sausage that I swear was maple. The star was the crispy hash potatoes, no ketchup needed. Get this the white sourdough was the best piece of toast I ever had. All washed down with a delicious iced tea fresh brewed of course. I spotted a chocolate ganache cake for tonight's snack. Served in slices. I needed to use the bathroom at the end of the room and near it is a huge round table that seats a lot of people where everyone can be engaged where one guy was holding court. I love how you can get breakfast or lunch anytime from 8-3. Across from me some folks were having lunch. I got very lucky with Rheanna my fabulous server. I stopped in on an off chance of good food. I was not disappointed. A great omelette and perfectly cooked bacon at 1 in the afternoon. The service from Josh at the bar was fantastic. So good I brought my wife back the next day for lunch. We live two hours away but when we are in town we will try to stop in. One last thing I enjoyed the food and staff so much that we have a group of around 15 we will be taking there for dinner at the end of April. Again, if I could give 3 1/2 stars I would. Oliver is doing a lot of great things and there are some minor areas of potential improvement. I have been here for dinner and now I thought I would try breakfast after getting off of night shift. The first time I came here, I got the pot roast. It was good. Not fantastic, but good. On the dry side, it really needed more au' juis that came with it, and so I asked for extra. Service was good, the ambience is kind of like a cross between a contemporary American restaurant crossed with a coffee café shop or something. Happy hour looked to be quite generous, with food and a variety of drinks that actually are worth discount if you came during those times. I think they are 3 to 5 PM and then something like after nine or 9:30 PM?? the drinks are creative, well-balanced, and some thing that you could not get at a normal restaurant and bar. Another time, I came here after completing a night shift for breakfast. I got the eggs Benedict, with the salad and a side of bacon, and the bloody Mary with house style mix. The bloody Mary came with a skewer, full of lots of yummies, including cheese, pickled items, salami, and other the obligatory celery stock. The bernais over the eggs benedict had a distinctly unique flavor, which I still have not decided is good or bad, that was herbal, like in nature, and nothing like I've tasted with eggs Benedict before in my life. Nevertheless, the egg was perfectly poached with a runny yolk, And honestly? The salad dressing was so good. It was just a great complement to the savory numbness of the Benedict. Again, so why three stars, and not Fore? The ingredients and quality are there, but proper executions of dishes are lacking. A little mistake here, overcook the meat there, a funky taste, that is unexplainable, and these little things add up. It seems to be a trend that restaurants in the twin cities have all of the trapping and resources to be a great restaurant, but lack the actual management and culinary talent to pull it off. read more

We would not order the Bucatini again. More spice than we care for and lacked flavor. I was hoping it would be a little different then what I received, but it was still good. Was hoping for something similar to the old UNO mushroom pizza. This had the taste of sauteed mushrooms in butter put on a pizza. I didn't taste a ton of garlic, but it was still good. Good crust. Also ordered some chicken tenders and fries for my kiddo. Not your typical tenders. These were really tasty! Parking is a bit of a hassle, not a place you can just easily park, you have to drive all the way around and park in the back. Met up with a couple of friends for dinner and drinks at a place that almost never disappoints. We love to sit at the bar and everyone is always very friendly. We had the Cuernavaca drink and I ordered the special burger. This week is it the Elote burger with a corn mixture on top of the patty and tortilla strips. Awesome burger but had to get a second order of fries as the ones that came with the meal were cold. That's an exception to the rule of good food! Don't be fooled by just the pictures displaying their awesome food.. make sure you experience it. Yes, you can watch them make pizza, but the true diamond is the bar, with a special shout out to Hamdi who has been their bartender since they opened. Yes, many can pour a perfect drink... but Hamdi brings his smile, warmth, attention and entire service showing the care and appreciation that you chose Olivers to spend your money and time. .... We found this place by accident, we had one hour to kill between things and we googled around and found this fantastic restaurant, and later become our regular place to go. They have amazing selection from brunch, lunch, happy hours to dinner (see? We really have been there so many times at different times). The atmosphere of the restaurant gives you a really relax vibe. Open concept where you can sit in the bar and watch the chefs prepare your food, or sit by the table with comfy booths, or relax on the couches and large chairs while drinking coffee chatting with friends. My sister's always wanted to try this place due to recommendations from her coworkers. I flew in from New York for my brother's wedding and as soon as my sister picked me up, we headed to Oliver's for our 9:45am reservation for brunch. I love the atmosphere and the many windows of this place. The bar had plenty of seating, there were a good amount tables and booths. We were in a booth that was right next to this little lounge area and I loved it so much. Sydnie was our server and she was AMAZING. My mom was joining us and she had to bring my 1 year old niece but Sydnie didn't rush us at all. She was attentive, friendly and made our experience wonderful. We ordered 3 of the Blushing Strawberry mimosas, 2 Benedicts and a breakfast burrito for my mom. We also asked for some scrambled eggs and sausage for my niece. Warm comfortable atmosphere with really well made food. Definitely worth any trip to get to a what a benefit for the locals! Service was both attentive and gracious ( like pre covid... remember?) I had the Oliver's sunrise with nice potatoes au gratin, bacon fresh baked sourdough toast and two eggs scrambled with cheddar... it was made and presented with the simple elements of care which has largely and sadly left many restaurants these days. My wife had the pot roast which was delicious, warming , hearty and rustic. She loved it as did I when I sneaked a piece!
