The ambience of this venue is amazing. There's much natural lighting! The staff was very pleasant from the time we walked in. Me and my partner were celebrating our anniversary and they made it so special with a hand signed card and a cute little dessert! Angela was our server, she's a rock star! Very nice, easy to talk to, and just knows what she's doing. It was a busy night and she handled her area with so much grace. Way to go Angela, you're amazing! Me and partner started with tuna poke. It was so delicious we didn't get to take a picture before we dug in! The plantain chips that came with it were some of the best I've had. Next we shared a New York steak and they were kind enough to split it for us (pictured) We added the horseradish cream sauce and let me tell you, it was delicious (if that's your thing). The black truffle Mac and cheese was my favorite by far and the asparagus had so much flavor. Lastly we finished with the triple chocolate mousse cake. 5 Stars - Epic Steak lives up to the name I went to Epic Steak last week with my brother and his family, who was visiting from out of town, and it honestly couldn't have been a better experience. The service was warm and attentive without ever feeling pushy, and the ambience hit that perfect balance of classy and comfortable. You get the sense right away that they take pride in getting every detail right. Since it was a Monday, they were offering their special prime rib, so I went for the medium rare--and it was incredible. Perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. I paired it with the wine the server recommended, and it took the whole meal up another level. They clearly know what they're doing with their pairings. Even though it's a beautiful steakhouse with a refined vibe, it still felt welcoming for families. We had kids with us who were having just as good a time as the adults. It's rare to find a spot that works for both a special night out and a family dinner, but Epic Steak pulls it off effortlessly. Highly recommend. For my 700th Yelp Review I would like to write about an EPIC place - EPIC is located on prime real estate on the Embarcadero with the best view of the bridge and the bay. Yea there are tourists and conference goers in the mix if the clientele, but as locals from a block away, it usually a hidden gem for me to come time and time again. On a warm day the patio is amazing! The $49 bottle of Veuve Cliquet has been a staple for over a year now before 3pm. Full disclosure it can be dangerous at a price below retail!, you and your group will have a fabulous time enjoying lunch / brunch on a gorgeous day. Some of the highlights include the tuna poke - super fresh ingredients and flavor! The steak frites you have can option to add on a glass of Bella Union Cabernet, super silky and go well with the juicy steak. If you want to be a high roller and in the mood for steak, EPIC is a classic steakhouse with all the cuts you can imagine. We went during mild like temps and weren't too hot or cold. Plus they have outdoor heaters. I had the steak & eggs. It was cool. Came with a handful of potatoes and sautéed greens. I didn't know that since it isn't mentioned on the menu and so I also got some truffle mac n cheese. It was super cheesy, creamy, and flavorful! Another must have item. There's also a trio of salts on the table for your steaks. I really liked the black salt. The pink salt was hard, like it had been wet. My friend noticed two finger outlines in it, as if someone had pressed down into it with their hands. Parking is always limited in this area, and after reading the reviews about the valet, I decided to take the ferry since the Ferry Building is only an 5-8 min walk away. First time to Epic for brunch. You can't beat the $50 bottle of Veuve Clicquot. The food was decent. Not wow by it. The oyster were amazing. The service was decent. The waiter was a little off but not complaining. It happen. Seating outdoor in SF at The Embarcadero is a treat. The issue was, there was a table, with probably 4 small kids, who kept running back and forward between the table their parents were at. And toward the gate were you would see the bay. At one point, they started grabbing rocks that were part of the restaurant. And throwing them in the water. We told our waiter, he told the parents. But literally the annoyance of the kids running around and the parents just letting it happen, is not cool. The stuff should have not allowed this to be happening. We booked dinner here last minute and were very pleasantly surprised. The main floor was full, so the hostess brought us upstairs to a nice, quiet room with a great view. We definitely didn't mind since we wanted to chat and catch up. We started off with some cocktails, which were good. A little sweet for me, but flavor was as good. With our dinner, I ordered a nice glass of Sangiovese and my friend ordered a dirty martini. We were much happier with these choices. We ordered the poke based on the recommendation of our server, and that did not disappoint! It was delicious! For our meal we split the ribeye, and shared the truffle mac & cheese as well as the brussel sprouts. Ribeye was cooked exactly as we ordered. The truffle Mac was to delicious! The Brussels sprouts were cooked well, but had a sweetness to them so they weren't my favorite. All in all, we had a fabulous meal! Our server was amazing, we took our time and never felt rushed. I've been in San Francisco since Monday going to different restaurants working different venues for the Super Bowl last night we came here there was a total of eight of us working this event for the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Barry to tell you that very went above and beyond to make sure my fellow co-workers retreated well is an understatement like I said before we have done other venues it never got treated as well as we got treated here with Barry he recommended the corn chowder and it was absolutely delicious always checking in on us to make sure that we were okay if we needed anything don't get me wrong the rest of the Brave but very again stood out for his customer service as I was watching them through the night as he greeted gas coming and going and they all approached him like if he was part of the family and he made them feel that way definitely going to make a trip back there the food was fantastic but the experience and the customer service that bury provided to all of us was exceptional thank you Barry when I say that I speak on my fellow colleagues you made that work day better than any other experience that we had and we thank you for that I hope your managers realize what kind of person you are keep doing what you're doing cuz you do it well thank you Martin Anderson read more

We went here for happy hour after seeing a post on Instagram and it is a deal. Cocktails were $9 and we got the cheeseburger and fried chicken both for $22. The whole bill came out to $40 plus tip. We got the two popular dishes during happy hour but the food was not that great. It was of course a bargain but the cheese burger reminded me of McDonald's and the chicken was a bit dry. The batter on the outside however was flavorful. This is all to say, you get what you pay for. It wouldn't be fair to expect more at the price point. We sat a long table on the first floor that faced the kitchen since the bar was closed for a special event. I think if you are at the bar upstairs, you would be able to enjoy outstanding views of the bay. Service was attentive and generous! This was my second happy hour of the day so I was able to directly compare to another happy hour two blocks away at Prospect. If you are willing to spend more money and value the quality of the food and drink more than a view or value, I would head to Prospect instead where drinks and food are about $3 more from 1pm to 6pm. The crowd there is more slick/stuffy with lots of suits. We are not sure if we would go back. read more

Ordered the tomahawk steak, Julia's potatoes, mushrooms, and crab cake. Thought the food was salty but other than that, it was buttery and tasty. Ended the night with creme brulee but it has so much topping that it felt more like a yogurt parfait. It was a great experience but don't think I'll come back unless someone wants to. read more

I enjoyed my 9 oz filet with a beautiful ocean view of the bay bridge. The filet could have had more flavor, but it was cooked a nice medium rare in the middle. The NY strip was juicy but a little fatty. Both cuts of steak came with a green chimichurri sauce which was flavorful and complimented the steak nicely. Order the Julia child potatoes- they were buttery, rich, and melted in your mouth. Definitely a star side. I would skip the buttered dungeoness crab as it was drowning in butter. Location: located on the western side of the Embarcadero with Water Bar, Gap's corporate headquarters, and the Oakland Bay Bridge as neighbors. Reservations: OpenTable and walk-ins welcome. Stepping In: the restaurant itself is rustic and elegant. The main dining room comes with views of the bay. During brunch, the extended dining room with full bar opens up to the bay providing fresh air and bay views. Service: a friendly server assisted us with our brunch selection and even popped open a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. The meal: consisted of pineapple mimosas - with the champagne on ice at the bar along with - crab cake Benedict (jumbo lump crab, soft poached eggs, luscious hollandaise, and potatoes - delicious), Epic burger on house pretzel bun (my friend devoured half and took home the left overs, and enjoyed the wagyu blend patty), scrambled eggs (quite filling and hearty), and Julia Childs potatoes (creamy classic potatoes au gratin). From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be special. This was my first time dining at Epic Steak, and I actually found the place through Instagram and TikTok -- and I'm so glad I did! We made a reservation for a week later to sit outside for the bay bridge / water view. When we got there, it turned out to be a super foggy evening and it was misting so we asked to be seated inside instead. They were very accommodating and got us a nice, cozy table upstairs. It was a bummer to not dine with the view but the ambiance was still nice and it was pleasant to stay indoors! We started with bread and butter -- it was from acme and was fresh and warm, which was a great start to the meal. I also got the make it pink drink and it was so smooth and tasted like candy, would definitely get this again For sides we got the truffle mac n cheese and French fries (asked for aioli on the side), which were both enjoyable. I can't speak for the lamb, but my steak frites were super yummy. The sauces paired with it really elevated the plate also. I am extremely disappointed with Epic Steak. My experience here completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday trip. We ordered the pork chop, and when we noticed it looked undercooked, we immediately asked our server if it was safe to eat. They assured us it was fine, but later that night, we both became sick. Accidents can happen, but what is truly unacceptable is the complete lack of response from management. I have been emailing and calling for 4 days straight, and no one has responded. It is impossible to get a real person on the phone because their automated system just loops you around with no option to speak to anyone directly. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, I expected at least a basic level of professionalism and concern for their guests' wellbeing. Between the undercooked food, getting sick, and being completely ignored afterward, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Epic Steak failed both in quality and customer service. read more

I came here for the $49 bottle of Vueve! I was disappointed to learn that when you order the $49 deal, they do not actually give you the bottle. They pour from one bottle around the restaurant. I drink a lot of champagne- So I understand how many pours I would get out of a bottle for 2 people. We each had 2 pours, not filled to the rim to allow for juice - nothing more. She brought the check and I felt that it was a signal for us to go. I do know that they were serving a glass for $9 so I thought perhaps the waitress didn't hear me. This might be the best steakhouse in SF. The quality of food is great and its one of the few steakhouses you feel that you get great value for money. As the photos show, there isnt a bad view in the restaurant and its very pretty. The staff are incredible, they made our birthday celebration very special and unique. I liked the decor and the tableware. the staff was also great. however, what was not great was the prices for what can be considered "mid" food. i got the tomahawk, the gold potato puree, the yellowfish poki, and the truffle mac and cheese. for $190 tomahawk, u would expect it to be worth as such, however, it was rough, hard, and dry on the outside, and chewy (not the chewy you'd like, trust me). i will say, what made it palatable was the potato puree, that was great. well, it better be, considering the amount of butter. anyway, the truffle mac and cheese was okay, nothing to write home about (note; not a fan of truffle), but the poki--that was sooooo good. for dessert, we had epic sundae--9/10, banana bread budding with ice cream--10/10, and red velvet chocolate cake or something--8/10. overall, the experience was a 7/10, price considered, 5.5/10. read more

We also ordered a side of those tiny square biscuits which became the first of our culinary surprises. They come with butter and marmalade on the side. So much buttery and an unusual saltiness caused them to melt in the mouth. No butter or marmalade needed. We each ordered something different and all were excellent. They pour flavor into every detail of the foods served, down to every fry and biscuit. The entrees were a flavor epic! We've been to epic steak for brunch several times now. While it may not be the best brunch you can get for your buck, you can't argue that it has one the best views on the waterfront. The latest time we had brunch here was on a Saturday morning. It wasn't too busy and we were sat down quickly. Our party had the chilaquiles, bbq platter, and the eggs. We also had their Golden Negroni. The cocktail was fantastic, but the food was hit or miss. Our friend enjoyed his chilaquiles and my partner enjoyed her eggs. My bbq platter was ok, the sausage and ribs were flavorful and juicy, but the bbq chicken and brisket were super dry and overly salted. Service was great, our waiter was very attentive and helped to accommodate our young toddler. I'd be back again for brunch, but probably skip the barbecue platter next time. You can't go wrong with the cocktails, though. If you're looking for a restaurant with decent brunch and great waterfront views, this will be the place! read more

Horrible customer service, after seating us per our request of being in shade outside, right in the middle of our meal, they moved our shade and all though I raised concern and opposed it, the brainless person in charge moved 5 shades and also left other tables exposed. Feel sorry for the restaurant owner for hiring people that created this situation and covered our entire bill of $236 which hurts the owner's pocket. Regardless our server did not deserve that so I left her a $50 tip. Customer service is everything. I won't return. read more

Drinks were also pretty good, we had the Spritz and Make It Pink. For dessert they comped an Apple Pie Sundae for the birthday girl, which was a nice touch! The only downside was the service, it wasn't a super busy night but our server didn't notice us the few times when we needed their attention.
