However, once they got my signature and deposit it was like pulling teeth to the get the actual project scheduled. I'm also a long distance owner, coordinating the project. So it's especially hard not being in the state. I even flew to VA to chat with them but they ghosted me. Apparently only the owner of the company, Rafael, can only schedule projects on Fridays but he's not available most Fridays to chat. Not the person you start the project with. She can't schedule projects. I really regret going with FKBD for the project. I especially regret it because I paid a premium for the labor, and decided to go with this company vs another younger, cheaper company (VA Creative Renovations - Chris is great - check them out) because I thought they would be on top of the project and get it done quickly and get it done well. Apparently not. There was a lack of follow through and communication. When I did ask for timing and submitted my tile choices with Susan, who was my project manager, she had to call over to Rafael, then he'd call me all grumpy for interrupting his day. Seems like there's a control issue. Then when the project was supposed to start there was an issue with the tile I originally chose, even though I had submitted my design choices weeks prior. They said there was a delay with the tile and they had to change the project start date. Meanwhile I'm trying to coordinate with my tenants. Luckily they are the nicest tenants anyone can ask for. All in all they did a great job on my bathroom - eventually. You just need to be really on top of them.

Yelp - Review for Firuze…read more We hired Firuze for a complete teardown and renovation of a 1,700 square foot, two bedroom, two full bathroom condominium at Montebello, a 1,000 unit condominium complex located just outside of Alexandria, VA. The renovation included lowering the concrete ceilings by 6 inches in the entire unit so sheetrock and recessed lighting could be installed. New tile, hardwood floors, bedroom carpeting, and, heated patio floor were part of this extensive renovation. New wiring and plumbing along with complete kitchen and bathroom renovations were completed. This included removing and moving some walls and adding closets and renovating other closets, as well as all new doors for existing closets, all new light fixtures, vanities, and toilets. The remodel included new tile throughout both bathrooms, including new shower doors and tile. Firuze's design center has the most comprehensive and unique collection of granite, marble, and floor and wall tiles when compared to any others in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The first question we are asked when visitors enter our condo for the first time is, "Where did you find your countertops, cupboards, and floor tile." Thanks to Firuze's great collection of products our condo meets our goal of being a unique, modern and stylish, yet most importantly, a very comfortable place to call home and entertain guests. We spoke with a dozen different granite countertop suppliers, but we really appreciated how wonderfully Stone And Cabinet Center worked with us in a personal way, and their attention to detail. Ada, Hyhan, and Orhan coordinated cabinet delivery and installation, dishwasher and sink plumbing, and our complex curved-bar and countertop installations. The quality and value we received were outstanding. The cabinets we selected were half inch thick wood with dovetailed slow-close drawers, and because we selected a very large remnant piece of Granite, the price was great. They were kind and gracious every step of the way, and we've already recommended them to friends and neighbors. Our next step is to change the flooring to match our beautiful new wet bar!

I was looking for the expensive Taj Mahal quartzite to transform my island and countertop. Other companies just quoted me at around $12k, but Ada provided a very competitive quote at almost half the cost. There were multiple stone supplier around the corner for me the pick the stone I like. The process was smooth. The team is also very professional. I wanted to add a waterfall to my current island layout and another company said it wasn't possible, but Ada's team made it happened beautifully! I had heard horror story that the Taj Mahal quartzite is so hard to cut, and it would break without proper technology. Fortunately that did not happen to me. Every piece was cut and polished nicely. This team knows what they are doing but did not put a crazy price tag in the work they do. I have to mention the customer service is great with this team. Ada is a reliable, honest and responsive guy to work with. There was an incident that we found our water line leaky after the installation, which could happened during removal of the original granite but nobody was sure. Ada just stood up and took the responsibility immediately. There was also miscommunication during the process but Ada was always there to resolve the problems and made the process worry free. This is the team that you want to work with because unexpected things and mistakes could happen in every project, but they will make it right for you. His showroom has a wonderful selection of flooring material and I was able to find one that suited my house perfectly. Communication - Excellent and prompt. Sasan communicates clearly via phone or text and will let you know what to expect and when. If I had a question, he was quick in getting back to me. My husband and I used Potomac Kitchen and Bath for our condo's kitchen renovation in summer 2021…read moreand waited a while to write this review because we wanted some time to reflect on our experience with the company. When we first contacted Mustafa, he was helpful in getting us an estimate and renderings of the proposed kitchen. He answered all our questions, the price was reasonable, and the project started as scheduled, which we appreciated in a time when so many things were back ordered. Harb, our project manager, was just okay. In my mind two of the most important qualities of a PM are communication and quality oversight. Harb's communication was acceptable most of the time but I felt that he really lacked the capacity for proper oversight and ensuring that the quality of the work was acceptable. We often had to point things out to him that he should have seen (e.g. fridge off balance, big noticeable seams in the crown molding, cabinet doors that banged into walls, etc). He was rarely on site and when he was here it was for less than 5 minutes to collect a check. Ultimately what really left a bad taste in our mouth was when one of the cabinet fronts (on the garbage can slider) broke after only a week or two of normal use. We contacted Mustafa/Harb who sent someone to "fix" it and his solution was to add a Velcro sticker to the cabinet instead of actually properly securing the sliding drawer with screws and hardware. Needless to say the cabinet broke immediately and when I contacted the company again they completely ghosted us. Never returned phone calls, emails, or text messages. I think if Potomac had come and properly fixed the cabinet, or at the very least returned our messages, I would have given them a 3.5 star review but this issue really left us upset and worried about the overall quality of the project. We won't be recommending this company to friends or neighbors.

When brainstorming the kitchen and bathrooms, the staff were very helpful with picking out the types of cabinets, counter, flooring, toilets, and hardware. They did a fabulous job with the demolition of the old stuff and the installation of the new cabinets, lighting, floors, toilets, and hardware. The project manager and staff were wonderful with communicating with me and keeping me up to date. I'm grateful to have found Potomac Kitchen & Bath via Angi. I highly recommend them and wish they could do my kitchen in Pennsylvania.
