This was the second renovation for which we hired Image Flooring & Design to perform the work and we could not be happier. The first renovation was a guest bathroom that we hired Solomon and his team to renovate two years ago. They did a great job. This project was much larger and included gutting our original (1969) master bathroom, moving fixtures and walls, and creating a walk-in closet from the bedroom next to the bathroom. After receiving proposals from 4 different companies, we chose to go with Image. They were not the lowest nor highest price, but we were comfortable with them and knew that the work would be done right. It was. Solomon and the Project Manager, Mr. Fikri, were amazing. Every step of the way they made sure everything was going right, according to the plan. Any questions that came up and decisions that needed to be made they were thorough, fair, reasonable and always had great ideas. The communication was great. We knew exactly when Mr. Fikri and his team would arrive to work and they did. The master bathroom is now a beautiful focal point of our home with a state of the art glass enclosed shower, a water closet, heated floors in the bathroom, and a magazine quality walk in closet. Two months later my wife and I still feel like we live in a hotel. We worked with Solomon, who's as wise as his name, last year in choosing and installing maple flooring and walnut railings in our townhouse. He worked closely with us to choose just the right details for our home. Solomon told us they'd start work on a certain date, and he was true to his word. He was 100% involved in the project from start to finish. Solomon maintained constant communications with us - at each and every decision point in the process and in between. We built up so much confidence in James and Solomon last year [2017] that we asked them to completely remodel our 40-year old kitchen this summer [2018]. James did the design that knocked our socks off. And the company's master craftsman from Portugal, Adrian, executed the plan - and added his own unique design features as well. Adrian is a diamond. A truly rare and unique talent. He made furniture in the old country, and his skills and artistry and craftsmanship were in full display in our kitchen. The man has a UNIQUE gift. He solved problems we didn't even know existed. His skill in executing the work - from crafting new molding out of mahogany to installing vintage wall sconces to installing cabinets, a toe-warmer, and all the appliances, and, executing all the finesse work, was awesome to behold. We can't say enough good things about Adrian! In addition to his skill, by the way, Adrian is a true gentleman. A caballero. As our James and Solomon. This troika always, always, always puts the customer first. We have such confidence in James and Solomon and Adrian that we gave them the keys to our house while we were out of town on vacation in June. Really impressed with the staff at Image! Super helpful, quick delivery of the floors that of course I waited until the last minute to order. They even helped me when a mistake by our contractor required us to get 2 more boxes in a pinch. I would highly recommend this shop to all my friends. We would highly recommend Image Flooring, Kitchen, & Bath for your remodel. It's been almost a year since we've gone through our remodel so can speak confidently about their entire process, including their followup. We selected Image because they had a large inventory of materials at different price points, including the cabinets we really wanted, at a reasonable rate. They weren't the cheapest bid we received, but they were a *long* way from the most expensive bid. Plus, during the project James (owner) made every effort to stay within our defined budget while still presenting us with quality options. He was always clear and upfront about the dreaded "change order" and I never felt as if he were pressuring to up sell us. He truly wanted us to have the kitchen we wanted and worked to provide options to make it happen, often times finding savings in one area so we could splurge in another. Every project will have bumps, and James and Adrian (foreman, contractor, installer) work together as a team to overcome any unplanned issues. I think Adrian's skill set is so comprehensive that issues that would stump some contractors (or cause them to spin your project budget out of control) are easily handled. Two examples come to mind. In one case we wanted a new exterior window in a place that caused a boutique design firm to say it'd be too expensive. Image had no issue working it into the project at a reasonable cost. In another instance unexpected HVAC had to be moved when it was found within a wall. Rather than taking advantage of the situation and charging some ridiculous change order, Image simply moved the HVAC to a workable location without impacting the design or budget of the kitchen. Most importantly for me is how a contractor handles issues after the project is complete. Of any issue we identified, James and Adrian still worked to find solutions to make it right. James has superior communication, and was easily reached with any issues, before, during, and after the project. Adrian is simply amazing. We did stairs/floors/kitchen remodel and James was able to keep us in budget and on time. Exquisite work by the flooring and railing team at Image Flooring. Solomon is knowledgeable, helpful, and made sure the work was completed in a timely matter. The team worked efficiently, cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day, and took care to complete finishing details. We have crazy schedules and weren't the easiest clients to work with in terms of getting access into the house, but Solomon stayed in communication with us and ultimately we just left the door open when we weren't home because we trusted Him and the team to come in without us being there. We highly recommend Image Flooring, Kitchen & Bath. They did a wonderful job with the renovation of our kitchen while we were away on vacation. We were quite impressed with James Kifonidis, co-owner of the company, who helped us design the kitchen. His skill with the computer design software, and his knowledge of construction and the beautiful Shiloh cabinets, which he uses exclusively, is impressive. His construction foreman, Adrian, is not only an excellent carpenter and electrician, but he gave recommendations for new lighting that made a lot of sense and greatly improved the project. They were able to match the existing flooring well, and made the kitchen much more practical and beautiful. Most important for any home renovation is trusting the people who will do it.
