When I called to place the order, I was directed to submit it online. I completed the online order and received a text confirmation stating that I would receive a response within two days. After two days passed with no response, I called to follow up and was told that someone would be contacting me regarding my order. Another two days passed without any communication, so I called again to check on the status. At that point, I was informed that my order had never actually been placed because a deposit was required. However, I was never informed of any deposit requirement during the ordering process or in any of the communications I received. I was then told that, unfortunately, the bakery would not be able to make the custom cake. I explained the entire situation and shared how much this cake meant to my father-in-law, as this bakery has been a special place for him over the years. Despite explaining the circumstances, no effort was made to find a solution. As a business owner myself, I understand that mistakes can happen. However, I also believe in doing everything possible to make things right for customers when issues arise. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
