I am still a HUGE fan of this bakery as the Mexican sweetbread is sooooo good. There are many varietals to choose from, all fresh, delicious, and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. The ladies who work behind the counter are all friendly, hardworking, and ready to serve all customers. In addition to the bread, they also offer champurado, café de olla, milk, sodas, and beverages. There is limited parking adjacent to the bakery and street parking is also available.

Food: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 I wanted to buy some treat for work and decided to stopped by at this place. Parking was pretty easy. Stuff were friendly and helpful. I asked to choose assorted items. It has good value but the taste could be better.

Came in for small bolios (rolls) but they were sold out. So i picked up elotes, mantecadas, cuerno and galletas. I ran in and out so I missed taking recent pics

I paid $50 for a rosca and was surprised by how small it was for the price. When I asked if a refund was possible because it felt overpriced, the owner was rude and brushed me off, saying they don't give refunds. Overall, very poor customer service.

There is one special piece my mother (92 years old) loves however the quality of this piece has decreased a WHOLE lot in past year or more. We travel from Orange County because we have been patronizing this business for over 35 years and now have to face the hard truth it isn't worth it anymore. they have lost an entire families business. ( libros) ALWAYS burned, smaller, final result is not what it used to be and the taste has been lost.

Dry no flavor poorly made.

Ordered sweet bread, burritos and tamales. Only one of three was great. The burrito was a bit sad and small. The tamale was pretty bad. Not trying to bash but please do better. Service was meh.

Christina M.

Customer service is a 1. When you have 4 employees not helping but one and see the line out the door no one else steps in to help? Tamales were a 1- hardly any meat lacked flavor. (Costcos are better) I don't know why people are complaining about showing ID it's for the protection of you and the owner so get over it. The bread appears soft. I will give that review when I get home to try that. Customer service can improve. SMILE, step in and help when it's needed.

I had been craving cuernitos de mantequilla. Now I used to work near this lovely place and my coworker used to bring this yummy pan to the office, everyone would go crazy for it!!! Ok so I had my husband swing by and grab me a few or four lol!! He said the staff were helpful because he didn't know what to look for but I sent him pics and called him to make sure he got the right thing!!! The were just like I remembered DELICIOUS ! They were buttery yet light!!! I will definitely be coming back!!! Thank you El Gallo Bakery for making the best because the other panaderías cannot compare!!!!

Orange Blossom Almond Croissant -personally was disgusting, orange blossom was extremely strong. Too fragrant that it tasted like a floral bath bomb or soap. Some do like this but it wasn't for me. Passionfruit cream filling wasn't too sweet. I loved the tart passionfruit seeds. But you might want to scoop some out if you don't enjoy too much sourness. Elderflower Rhubarb Danish - way too crunchy, would prefer it to be crispy instead of a crunch. Filling was good, not too sweet. Black Sesame Parisian Flan -if you love black sesame, this would be right up your alley. Perfect sweet treat to bring to any auntie's home! Blueberry Tea Scone -not too dense. Surprisingly not too sweet even with the demerara sugar coating. It wasn't really crunchy but more sticky and caramelized from sitting.

I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I suspect that the "buttercream" was made with milk and margarine and powdered sugar.....so much powdered sugar. It was sickeningly sweet, and it was dry too. And a true bettercream doesn't even use powdered sugar. So not only were the cupcakes terrible, they were not even what they purported to be. String lights, vibrnt greenery, marble floors, and elegant furnishings complement both the indoor and outdoor seating areas. As you enter, the aroma of fresh coffee and pastries greets you. Behind the display of baked goods sits a stunning centerpice bar with numerous seats available for guests without reservations. The menu offers a solid variety of salads, pizzas, pasta, small plates, and entrees, making it easy for everyone to find something appealing. There is also an extensive wine selection along with a smaller cocktail list. We ordered the ribeye steak, Caesar salad, and truffle arancini. Everything was enjoyable, but the arancini was undoubtedly the standout dish. Served with a rich tomato based sauce, it was perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining cheesy, comforting, and satisfyingly starchy on the inside. The truffle flavor came through beautifully and made the dish memorable. The ribeye was well prepared and accompanied by delicious fries. The Caesar salad can be ordered either chopped or deconstructed, which is a nice touch.
