Update: called the shop and spoke to mgr ginger about why no one has called me or emailed back after I was told to email my concern and she started they will reach out, but can't give me a timeline. She did advise because I was delivered a cake to replace my order (not what we wanted and smaller than what I paid for) I would not get compensation or difference. I am severely disappointed and now I will look for a different bakery for our family needs.

Picked up some goodies for work. I did a cookie assortment and everyone loved them. They have a good variety and even had a gluten free option. When in the area give them a try you will not be disappointed.

I was not happy with the cake I custom made you cam see the picture I submitted and the flowers of my cake. $125 for this unfortunately

Over the years we have had many fun and tasty treats from Amy's. Cakes, pastries, cookies,.and great breads. Today was a cookie run! Assortment of Macarons and decorated Sugar cookies! Halloween is coming!

My mom picked up some pastries for my birthday and wow -- I was so impressed! The presentation was absolutely beautiful and everything looked so elegant. I got the crème brûlée, fruit tart, and cheesecake. All of them were delicious, but the fruit tart was hands down my favorite. So fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I'll definitely be coming back just for that fruit tart. Highly recommend!

Very impressive neighborhood bakery! It's very clean and organized. Take a number when you arrive from the ticket machine near the door. Start browsing at the available pastries, cupcakes, cookies and cakes. When your number is called, go to the staff who called your number at the counter and tell them what you want. I picked out a variety to try. Got a spinach pastry, a huge apple turnover, blueberry strudel, creme brûlée cup, Neapolitan , custard chocolate mini eclair and a fruit tart today. Oh boy, my family is going to have a treat when I get home! (Later ...everything was great! Even my husband said so! ) * An additional comment on the bakery selection is that they NO longer make the Dobash cake I was going to buy today. Also , I noticed the Neapolitan pastry used to have a thin raspberry layer and some icing on top which was missing as well.

Well I am here today my old stomping grounds I have not been here since I was 25ish omg still excellent. I remember getting cream puffs and still amazingly delicious. I can't eat it without milk with ice so good and the staff super friendly total about $7 bucks n change great memories here from my childhood and now will coming more often I live close to hear. Definitely worth the stop you see what they have and you can eat it here or on the go. Plenty of parking if you are at the DMV come by it's across the street.

I live an hour out of the area, but I had to order from Amy's for my cousin's 50th birthday cake. I saw the custom cakes on Yelp and had to order one for this very special occasion. I ordered in shop and paid in full one week before. They have you select all colors and items on cake in detail to get your order right. I called in advance to make one small change five days before pick up. I showed up on time to pick up cake. Yet, they wanted to make sure to set it in their refrigerator so the frosting wouldn't move on my drive home. No worries, because it was gorgeous. My entire family loved it. It tasted great also. The birthday girl was so surprised with the extravagance and beauty of the cake. Thanks Amy's for making my cousin's 50th birthday a day to remember.

    Dads 80th birthday cake

I asked for a cake to be made for my dads 80th, I gave them the picture and type of cake I wanted and it came out perfect!!!! Exactly as the picture and the staff were all great!! I will be back!!

Aesthetically pleasing pastries but, not worth the price. Each of their mini palm sized pastries ranged between $6-8 dollars (about 3 inch diameter). Service is quick, they have a ticket dispenser you can grab a number to wait if there is a wait. I wanted to try out this place as I was in the area but will not be returning as it's very pricy for no wow factor. I can't say much about their made to order custom cakes that other people are raving about, haven't tried them. Heart shape mousse were light and not too sweet. Fruit tart was an ordinary fruit tart, custard underneath fruits. Crème brulee was not great, no caramelized hard top either.

Ask the Community - Amy's Pastry

Do you make sugar free cakes?

    No they dont

Are they open for Easter Sunday?

How much is a small fruit tart at Amy's pastry?

I want to say the individual is like $3-5 and the shareable size is closer to $22

Is this business even open? I've been calling for days and no one ever answers the phone.

They never answer but yes they are open. I think they close early now. You just have to go. They either close at 6 or 5 so just make sure u go early

Is Amy's closed I ve been calling to order a cake and no one picks up the phone?

They were closed for vacation about 10 days ago. But I have ordered 2 birthday cakes since then. I picked one up on Saturday August 3rd and also on Thursday August 8th, so I know they are open. Keep trying. They are very busy but they are worth it.

Does Amy's make something called a 'yum yum' cake?

I've never seen it there. But they do take orders for cakes. I would suggest calling to see if they can make it

    Is there any vegan options?

I'm almost positive there are not any vegan options. Maybe a fruit tart? But stuff like that usually has hidden dairy. But I would call ahead just to make sure

What are their prices for cupcakes?

The last time I checked it was like 1.75 per cupcake but that was just for walk ins. I'm pretty sure you'll get a small price break if you order by the dozen for a party. But don't quote me!

    Is Amy's temporarily closed? (1/3/18)

Amy's will be open on Thursday. They took some time off Monday- Wednesday.

Was this bakery the same one that used to be at the Montebello mall in the late 90's early 2000's?

Yes! In fact it is the same one from the 1970s when I was a kid.

The cake was prolly the only one that I thought so-so. Unique flavor with green grape yogurt and taro paste, but just okay in taste. The mini croissants were pretty good for the price. It wasn't like abundantly filled, but certainly not bad for being $2ish esp the salted yolk. The egg tarts should be the reason to come and come back again. Super affordable and the buttery case made them great! The Portugese one was certainly the default one to try but I personally loved the caramel croissant one.

The tortuga was a bit more spongy, fragrant, and nice balanced of sweetness. The alfajores were buttery, crisp and smeared with dulce de leche. If you are looking for their full breakfast menu, the Monrovia location down the street is where you would want to go! When I visited, they were celebrating their 1-year anniversary with an outside table of samplers. They had a balloon arch outside to signal to the community that they are celebrating something special as well. The lady out front shared with me what they had to offer, and she also mentioned that they do catering! I like my coffee strong but also on the sweet side. When I asked for the stronger option, I was recommended to get the cappucino rather than the latte and they can make the caffeine a little bit more concentrated without sacrificing the flavor. The cookies were a little dry for my taste but maybe it was because the samplers were sitting outside for a little too long. I would go back just to try the breakfast sandwich, but the experience of grabbing food was pretty fast and the food was flavorful enough!
