Our beautiful wedding cake! I love the little details and you can tell they put a lot of heart into it
    misty m.

I just had them make me my wedding cake yesterday and it looked absolutely stunning! The attention to detail, and love they put into it, really shone through. We tried a few different local bakeries, and chose this one for the flavor of the cake, along with the kind owners. The price was decent, and we provided a picture of what we were thinking, and they went above and beyond to make it perfect. If you're looking for a beautiful cake for a special occasion, I can't recommend Happy Bakery enough!

Thanks For this amazing experience my Daughter love it

Amazing thanks for this amazing cake my daughter loves it !!! The taste of the chocolate with strawberries was delicious

Got my cake here and it was such a success!!!

Cake flavor was amazing and it tasted delicious. The quality is always there with happy bakery

I've been getting cakes from them since 1989. I live in Riverside now and drive all the way to ELA to get these cakes.

Our son's birthday cake. Everyone loved it!

Everyone loved our son's birthday cake. The egg flavor in the vanilla cake was delicious, cream was light, and not too sweet! We had so many delicious fruits in the cake as well. It was a hit at my son's birthday party!

This bakery is a hidden gem in East LA! The cakes are moist, not overly sweet, but just right. We picked up a chocolate cake with a cream and fresh banana filling, it was chocolate overload and the filling so moist and delicious. Get your cash ready, because it's "cash only" but the prices are just right. You can get a lot of cake for a very affordable price. Try it. You will keep coming back, I guarantee it. They are right at the corner of Whittier Blvd and Woods.

CASH ONLY! BEST cakes in all the land. Very moist & underpriced cake for its value. I love that you have the option of Fresh fruit to be put in between layers and I LOVE that they use whipping cream as their icing. You can order custom, to create the cake of your dreams. They have readily available cakes in store to grab and go as well as an assortment of baked goods. This is my favorite place to get cakes, I drive all the way from Orange County to grab a cake. My favorite is chocolate cake with fresh strawberry & banana filling. Family owned and operated, such a sweet family. Don't forget to TIP!

My moms been getting cakes from here since 2010! It's hands down the beat freaking cake ever. The prices for each cake is only $13.50!!!!!!!! I always get the chocolate banana cake, sister gets strawberry, and brother gets mango cake. It's all fresh fruit and the customer service was impeccable. Loyal customer for 10 years and forever more!

Placed and order for my grandmothers 80th birthday and everyone loved it! Ribbon was provided by the bakery. Cake topper and flowers were purchased on Amazon.

Went in the last minute for a cake, and this was so delicious. Chocolate cake with strawberries. The cake is moist, and the cake and frosting have the perfect sweetness. Not too sweet. Just right. Thank you SO much!

Happy with my order! Tasted so good and came out so cute!

I'm from the Bay Area but I've been to Cafe Dulce several times. My wife and I really like their Hong Kong Tea Latte and their Matcha drink, as well as their various donuts and baked goods. In the morning rush they can be a little busy but the staff work hard. On a recent visit I saw people eating their steak breakfast burritos, so I ordered one for myself and a coworker. The burritos were reasonable size, the steak was seasoned well, and the breakfast burrito had potatoes in it (I only like breakfast burritos that have potatoes/hash browns/tots in it). Keep supporting the classics, not just because they've been around for a while, but because they have strong products and service.

Mochi Twist ($5)-- Nice and dense mochi texture? I guess it's hard to describe but it's not hollow and airy like a typical donut. There's some chew to it. And it's not too sweet! Blueberry Roti ($4)-- Flaky crumble on top and blueberry jam?? YES YESSSS. I liked this so much I'd definitely go back for it. Blueberry jam is so underrated and it's rare to find it in a pastry! Makes for a good sweet lil treat. Hot latte ($5)-- Perfect!! No complaints. Not too milky, not too light. Good ratio. I was actually kind of worried ordering a latte because not every place does it right but it's good here! Iced blueberry matcha ($6?)-- I see lots of good things about this drink on here but ooooooof... it missed the mark and by a LOOOT too. It was green sweet cereal milk. Where's the matcha? Where's the blueberry? It was so confusing because I see the green and I know I ordered matcha... but it's just sweet milk! And it's not even blueberry flavored milk. Did they forget the blueberry jam? Syrup? Whatever they use? Because it just tastes like the milk after a bowl of Frosted Flakes or something like that. Very sad, very disappointing. Ended up tossing after a couple sips. ANDDD for those matcha purists this is NOOOT the place for you! They have it pre mixed in a milk gallon. So we just saw green milk coming out of a gallon into this cup like yeppppp ok expectations immediately lowered. Anyways, hot latte is good and the 2 pastries I got were good! Steer clear of the matcha!!!

Personally, I don't like that style, I was hoping the original would change that for me! Long story short, I didn't like the Walnut Chocolate Chip. It's relatively busy but the line moved swiftly. The Larchmont store was pretty lively with the crowded and colorful wall deco! It's pretty fun to see that they came up with more seasonal items lately and most of them nailed it well when they came to cookies. Previously the lemon one and the most recent was the Raspberry Pistachio which I was impressed by as I just fancied sweet and refreshing combo of white chocolate and raspberry. The pistachio added more texture to it for sure. Same as any Levain cookies, best enjoyed warm and fresh out of oven. The Cookie Milk Latte was actually the main reason bringing me here, yet I was bit let down by it as I was expecting more malty cookie flavor in the drink. I felt it tasted not much different to regular cream top latte with some cookie crumbles in it.

The shumai was like dumpling filling in a bun. My faves were the curry pan, which were super flavorful and vegetarian. Downside is that I first tried the fish panini years ago and it was a bit better then, but it's still good currently. Other pastries I've tried here have been pretty good. They had some various buns with mochi inside, and those were great. Another one of my fave is their mentaiko salt bun. Great flavor, though I wish they would stuff the thing with more mentaiko. Their curry breads are good too. I took my daughter here and she got one with cute emoji drawn on, and she said the custard filling and the bread was tasty as well. I've tried some drinks here and they were alright. A friend was into their banana matcha when they have that in stock. Pretty simple layout here. There were endless selection of salt bread and different flavoured buns which all looked delicious. As we were browsing and deciding, the lady at the counter was kind enough to offer us a sample of the butter rice cake. The butter tteok tasted pretty good on the spot so we bought a pack of 5 back home along with a hot and spicy salt bread and corn soboro. The butter rice cakes were already cold and hard when we got home, the inside was dense and chewy in a bad way. I didn't want them to go to waste so I tried reheating them in the over for a few minutes. It was warm but the texture never recovered, everything just got more dense and hard. The hot and spicy salt bread looked like a winner, but when we bit into it, the bread was just crunchy and overly buttery without a lot of flavour. The inside did not have the soft pillowy texture you'd expect from salt bread. The filling was a budget hot dog and some corn mixed with mayo. We cut the bread in half and my boyfriend said his piece had way too much mayo and mine barely had any. I grabbed the corn soboro thinking it would be delicious since it was corn season but was the most disappointed by it. I reheated the bread again to get the cookie top to crisp up. The soboro top didn't have a lot of crunch or flavour, it was just a layer of sweetness with no texture. The corn cream filling was not good, the corn was dehydrated and had no flavour at all. It honestly tasted a bit like canned corn that's over baked, I ended up scooping it out because the bread was better without it. Maybe it's better to go earlier when the baked goods are fresh and eat it there instead of taking it home.
