I hate to leave this review, because I think Sean is a really nice guy. But I didn't need to hire a friend, I needed to hire a plumber. And for a very serious issue. I had a gas problem, and some plumbers work on gas issues, and some do not. Sean did, and in March of 2024 he came to my house to fix a gas leak on some gas porch lamps. Except he did not fix the problem. What he did made it worse. I never used the gas porch lamps after his "repair", until 9 months later, in December 2024. The house stunk of gas when I finally used the porch gas lamps last month. So the leak was still happening. And it was worse. It took a very long time to get Sean to reply when I first worked with him in March 2024. He is not very responsive. It was even worse trying to get him to come out and fix the gas leak which he made worse. He said his work was warrantied for 1 year, so I was anxious to get him out ASAP. It takes me anywhere from 2 to 5 tries to get Sean to reply. He finally came out, confirmed there was a problem, and said he'd fix the gas leak, under warranty. It was still going to cost me money, becuase the leaking valve he needed to access were behind the wall, that meant cutting into the drywall, and then patching and painting the hole. He would do the plumbing repair under warranty, but I was going to have to pay for the drywall patch and paint. Whatever....let's get it fixed. But I have been chasing Sean for two months. Literally two months of excuses and non-replies. He's been sick. He's been busy. He's had other more important jobs. And I've had a gas leak! I finally called another plumber, who does work on gas. I could not wait for another few months. He came out same day. He fixed the leak same day. And he pointed out the mistakes that Sean made. I had to pay to $1,500 fix this all over again, to pay for Sean's mistakes. And now I'll have to pay someone probably another $200 for the patch and paint. I'm going to be selling my house and I needed to get this fixed urgently. Not to mention the fact that gas leaks are a serious safety hazard. Now I feel that I can pass on this house to the new owner and say that everything has been buttoned up and fixed, and I'm not leaving them any major problems. No thanks to Sean. If you want to blow your money and get a lot of excuses, and then hire another plumber to come out and fix Sean's mistakes, then you should definitely hire Sean. I wish him well, and hope he corrects whatever problems he has that make him so unresponsive. But even if he becomes more responsive and efficient, I don't think I'd ever let him work on a gas issue. Two stars because he is a nice guy, but hiring him has been incredibly costly for me. read more

I had a fireplace renovation completed over the summer and once everything was all done, I learned the gas valve (original 1970's pipework) had some leaks somewhere. Obviously not pleasant and could be dangerous, so I wanted to deal with it immediately and be sure other leaks weren't occurring elsewhere. I had multiple plumbers come by and give me iffy opinions but felt most comfortable about how Sean sized things up and articulated the issue. Sean recommended a mason he works with named Israel to come by first in order to remove brick / expose the valve from the outside. This was so we didn't needlessly undo all the interior renovation work I had just completed. Afterwards, he and Avery came to address the problem. They replaced the gas valve, connected it into the existing location already designated for it, and fully tested the system. Sean explained the process, answered questions, and I appreciated that he wanted me to understand how they deal with each aspect. Thankfully, no further leakage occurred and the inspection with the City of Austin went perfect. Sean, Avery, and Israel all did a great job, and now I can't even tell there was an issue before. Israel even helped me mortar in a new ash clean-out door where the original was rusting and refusing to stay put. An extra bit of effort that he didn't have to bother with. All in all, these guys are top notch and very professional. Courteous communication, punctual, and arrived always wearing masks, which is appreciated during these pandemic days. This is a long-overdue review. Sean worked with us on a hot water tank that needed to be replaced in one of our rental properties. Initially, we wanted to do a tankless water heater which would require installing new gas lines. After much research by Sean, he convinced us that it may not be the best option given the layout of the house. Let me start by saying that if a hot water heater is going to fail of COURSE it will do it over a holiday (like, for instance, Thanksgiving)! A week ago our house filled up with sewer water at 4:00 a:m:. I started calling several plumbers around 6:30 a:m: and the first to respond was Sean. After I talked to Sean I didn't bother to have anyone else come out. He had a mess on his hands between pulling toilets and having to find the cracked drain pipe out in the yard, roto-rooter it out, come back with his camera to find the cause and then without making a total mess of our yard came out and located exactly where to dig to repair the broken pipe. I was really worried they'd hit one of the pipes for the sprinkling system but they did a superb job of digging carefully, didn't mess up any other lines in the yard and they uncovered our clean out that was buried under 2" of grass to boot! During Sean's initial visit he quickly made us aware that we also needed to get someone out immediately to deal with all the water that had seeped into the baseboards, carpet padding etc. He gave us a recommendation and they did a great job as well. I came in on my day off to do some paperwork at my business to find that a pipe had split and was spraying water everywhere. I couldn't even turn the water off. I called at least a dozen plumbers and no one could come out. Sean was on another call but promised to come right over as soon as he finished the call he was on. I called the landlord and they sent someone on their maintenance team over to turn the water off. The landlord's guy found that the split pipe fitting was an easy fix and went to get the part I needed. Since I didn't need a plumber anymore, I called to cancel with Sean so that I didn't waste his time. Turns out that he was already in the parking lot. He said he would come in free of charge to make sure we were on the right track. Say What??? My previous experience with plumbers has been that they will charge you $85 just to look at your front door. Sean came in, took a quick look, said it looked like we were on the right track. I felt bad that I wasn't going to use his services after he came all the way out. He said not to worry about it and to use us next time we needed someone. He went to his truck to get us a business card. When he came back in he didn't have any cards, but he had the valve/pipe fitting that we needed. As a fellow business owner, I can honestly say that this level of customer service is easy to aspire to but hard to deliver.
