I didn't actually hire We Plumb, but I just wanted to put a review here, because I appreciated Zach's customer service. I asked multiple companies for a quote and Zach was available same day. He initially didn't want to provide a quick quote without seeing everything in person, but I pleaded and he eventually gave me a range of estimates based on what he knew and they were all reasonable (relative to the Austin market) . It frustrates me as an impatient homeowner when I can't get immediate quotes, but I think the need for companies to see everything in person is probably a good sign. He doesn't want to just tell people what they want to hear to get in the door and then surprise them when the price changes because something about the project made it more difficult. He was then willing to answer my technical questions about potentially repairing my existing water heater and even some local parts stores I could look at for the components that weren't working for my existing water heater. We also talked about CoA rebates, heat pumps, and all the options for water heaters. Companies have a lot of incentive to gatekeep this kind of information and Zach was willing to just help me out as I formed a plan that took my current budget into account. I ended up replacing my own water heater, but I am a stubborn, frugal person. Zach's customer service, availability, and reasonable quotes are appreciated. If my financial situation improves, I'll probably be giving him a call next time I have plumbing needs. read more

Can't say anything about the service however they did reach out to scold me when I canceled the afternoon appt because someone else came in the morning and fixed it right away. Don't know much about plumbing, but I do know to never treat a customer like that. Otherwise you get bad reviews! I like these guys! They were responsive, and showed up when they said they would show up. The owner is knowledgeable and nice and has a lot of knowledge related to plumbing and is communicative. I needed a tub installed for a remodeling project, along with some pipes moved over in the wall for the new vanity. I was annoyed when multiple plumbers could not provide a quote and perform the work within the same day, but We Plumb was able to quote and do the work in the same day, which is efficient. These guys came out after a long day working, arrived within 2 hrs, at 8pm, and did a 2 hour repair job outside in 24 degree temperatures. They didn't take short cuts and rush the work either. Zach was great. We had a shower project that required removing the old tub, moving the the plumbing around and then replacing everything with a shower pan and new backing board with red guard. Zac was very upfront and honest and helped me fix my problems within my budget. He also provided a military discount which was very helpful. He was always on time or early. His flat fee allowed me to maximize my military discount at Home Depot by purchasing the supplies and he installed them instead of up charging me for parts. He was very proficient and kept me in the loop of what he was doing. He is now working on my parent's old Austin home built in the 1940's and my parents (in their 80s) are very happy with him, his communication, and his prices. Zac is a native Austinite, so am I (4th generation). We got along well and I am SO glad he will stick around Austin so I can develop a long-standing relationship with him as I had with my last plumber who retired after 40 years. read more

I got both my tankless water heaters flushed at a very competitive price. They gave me an option to use vinegar or a commercial descaling solution which I thought was great. Excellent service! I called around 7pm on a Thursday for a clogged shower drain / toilets not flushing. I talked to Zach, the owner -- he offered to have someone out that evening within an hour, but also suggested waiting until the following morning to save $50. They charge hourly, and the clog was fixed in 30 minutes so I only had to pay for half the hourly charge. The plumber who came to fix was very kind, courteous, and efficient! I have a larger plumbing issue that I know I have to fix from my house inspection -- I've already have one (seemingly very high) estimate for that job, so I'll definitely be working with We Plumb for another estimate and hopefully to work on that job, too. There was a sewer line obstruction in my rental house on a Saturday night. Zach responded immediately. He came by Sunday morning and resolved the issue. ln addition, he discovered an even more serious matter. He explained thoroughly with photos. The second job had difficult access and required a lot of digging. His crew was there bright and early Monday morning. The repair was made and the whole system tested.
