Honestly the work is good...as it should be from a master plumber. The issue I have is the issue I've had with literally every plumber ever. They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least. I used Brad to repair my backed-up toilet, on which he did a fine job. He found the roots that were the problem and let me know that I would need to have that repaired, fair enough. He informed me that I needed to have the flange and base replaced, which they did need to be replaced. I could have asked for an estimate, my bad. Here is the bill that I received, including a 5% charge for a credit card, use of his truck to drive to my house and charges for using tools on the job. He knew that he was going to snake my toilet and charged me $85 for using the machine to snake the toilet. Brad replaced my valve stems and faucets. I was stupid and didn't get a quote in advance. He charged me $670 for this service! I paid it because i didn't get a price in advance and assumed he'd charge me a FAIR price. $670 for this straight- forward job is outrageous! I've done this repair myself so i know that he price-gauged me. Maybe just because he could. Maybe because I'm a woman. If you hire him, be sure and get a quote first! Don't be a sucker like i was! We've had Brad B out 3 times and he's been prompt, courteous, and - most importantly - effective in solving our the various plumbing issues. Today, he came out on a holiday - we developed a sudden and *major* water leak yesterday, that required the water to be turned off. He couldn't do this particular job, as it would involve going under the house and he is a one-man operation. It turns out that, quite rightly, OSHA requires a crew of at least 2 when anyone is going under a house, as it is potentially dangerous (venomous spiders, anyone?) Would not recommend. Short version - plumber came out, installed the wrong valve cartridge, was immediately defensive and rude when we brought up the issue and he refused to change it. We had to repeat the job to restore our shower to a working condition. Longer version - We had a minor issue with a slow drip in our master shower, which has two valves, one for hot/cold and another to select the shower head. After a conversation with Brad, he recommended that we change both valve cartridges. He came out for about an hour and changed both cartridges with "professional grade" cartridges. When I got home from work and tested the shower, the selector valve did not work properly, it is supposed to send water to either the upper or lower shower head, but no matter how you turn it the top shower head just leaks cold water onto your head. Not desirable. We called Brad to explain what was happening and ask if he had any explanation or fix for this new behavior and he got upset immediately. Raised his voice and started yelling about how the valve was like that when he got there and he's been doing this for 25 years and we must be using the shower wrong. It was probably the strangest and most unprofessional interaction I've ever had with any business person, ever. So Brad walked away with $600 for an hour's work and left us with a barely functional shower. I went to the valve manufacturer's website (Moen) to try and find some help to prove I wasn't crazy and sent Brad a picture clearly showing that the second valve cartridge (the diverter which selects the correct shower head) was supposed to be a different cartridge than the one he installed. He called back pretty quickly and started yelling at me again about how we were using the shower wrong(?) and would not even discuss the possibility of installing a different cartridge. So, as we were at an impasse, I decided to cut our losses. Fortunately, the same helpful website provided the correct cartridge part number which I purchased from Moen for around $30. I removed his very expensive "professional" cartridge (6x more expensive?!) and replaced it with the manufacturer's model and now the shower works properly. Making mistakes is fine, it happens, but doubling down on an error and going scorched earth on your customers is bad business. read more

The only feedback I have is: 1. It would have been appreciated to have received a phone call (or text) to confirm the appointment the day of the appointment. I didn't realize Brad's phone doesn't accept texts (he informed me after the job) - I sent a text asking to confirm and request that he'd wear a face mask. 2. It would have been appreciated had he worn a face mask. Though I had asked my parents to be away from the house while he was there (and he knew this), he did not show up with a face mask and worked about an hour in the kitchen without a mask on. Looking back, I will now specifically request this. The only reason I knew this is I was checking our ring camera to make sure my parents had left the house. We called him the following day to tell him and he said it worked via his tests and he doesn't warranty it nor does he need to come back. Another job will done. Made a Wednesday appt. Brad called ahead to confirm and arrived on time as promised. I was going thru lots of water and he diagnosed the problem, fixed the issue, checked my irrigation system. Verified another leak, shut off the irrigation and found that the house was down to 20 lbs of pressure. He checked the neighbors and found them to be at 60lbs of pressure. 30 lbs is minimum so he diagnosed the regulator bad. New regulator in and measuring in at 65lbs Got everything fixed that day and now my shower is actually high pressure. Love it. 5 stars for service. Very nice guy. Professional and fair. read more
