Overall, I had a very positive experience purchasing my 2023 Hyundai Kona this past weekend. Was in…read morethe market for one, saw one I liked on Carfax for what I considered to be a super-competitive price, made an appointment to see it on Saturday. My salesman Albert was friendly, professional, and never made me feel rushed. He even took the time to drive me to my bank so I could pick up a cashier's check to pay for it in full, which I really appreciated. Once I returned, the finance department had everything ready, and the paperwork was completed efficiently. From the start of my appointment to driving off the lot was just under two hours, making the buying process much smoother than I expected. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the pricing structure. The advertised price was very competitive, but the vehicle also included a protection package that I was told was mandatory. But even with that package, the final price was still lower than comparable 2023 Konas I found through Carvana and Carfax with similar mileage/accessories (sunroof, upgraded display, etc.), so I do feel that I received a very fair deal. I simply would have appreciated greater transparency about the final price from the beginning. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and with the customer service I received from Albert and the finance team. If the pricing had been presented a little more transparently upfront, this would have easily been a five-star experience. If I'm ever again in the market for a used car, will definitely give them a shot in the future.

One word for this dealership: WOW!…read more I was looking for a BMW X5 and found FJ Motor Group online. From the very first phone call until the moment I drove away in my X5, the entire experience was five stars all around. Blanche was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly friendly, helpful, responsive, honest, and genuinely willing to go the extra mile. Best of all, there was absolutely zero pressure at any point. I never felt like I was being "sold" a car. It felt more like I was dealing with someone who genuinely wanted me to be happy with whatever decision I made. I'm very particular about my cars, and I had a few concerns before purchasing this one. I wanted the exterior to clean up really well, so Blanche had the vehicle professionally detailed for me. Afterward, it looked fantastic. I also wanted to have an independent pre-purchase inspection performed. Her response was basically, "No problem." She made the process incredibly easy and gave me absolutely no resistance whatsoever. The inspection came back excellent overall, with the only real item being front brake pads that would need replacement soon -- nothing unexpected on a used vehicle. The X5 had only one key when Blanche received it, and I told her that having two keys was important to me. Again, "No problem." She arranged to have a second key made for me at her cost, which saved me a significant amount of money compared with what I would have paid elsewhere. Blanche truly gives new meaning to the phrase "going the extra mile." Even the actual purchase process could not have been easier. I had already arranged financing through my credit union and arrived with my check. From the time we sat down to complete the paperwork until I was finished, it took literally about 15 minutes. I couldn't believe it. It was easily the fastest and simplest vehicle purchase I've ever made. I have purchased a lot of cars in my life -- easily 15 to 20 or more -- and this was, by far, the best car-buying experience I have ever had. Not even close. I couldn't be happier with the X5, and I couldn't be more impressed with the way Blanche handled the entire transaction from beginning to end. Going forward, whenever I'm looking for another vehicle -- or whenever a family member or friend tells me they're looking for one -- Blanche will be the first person I contact. So if you're reading these reviews because you're wondering whether FJ Motor Group is reputable or whether you can feel comfortable buying a vehicle from them, take it from someone who has bought a lot of cars: you are in very good hands with Blanche. Thank you again, Blanche. You made what is normally a stressful process genuinely enjoyable, and you earned a customer for life.

To begin with, they have the world's most annoying AI answering system. I called because I was…read moreinterested in a Kia Niro EV and wanted the out-the-door numbers before driving an hour and a half to see it. I was told a sales representative would call me back with those numbers. When she called, she had an attitude from the beginning and didn't even introduce herself, so I had no idea who I was speaking with. I asked for a sales representative, which seemed to upset her, and she eventually told me she was the sales manager. I still never got her name. Nevertheless, I wanted the car. It was basically perfect for what I was looking for, so I asked for the OTD price. She gave me a number somewhere around $16,000-$17,000 for a vehicle listed around $12,500 and said the final number could go up or down depending on the tax rate. In my experience, the tax rate doesn't fluctuate enough to explain several thousand dollars on a car at this price, so naturally I asked for the breakdown showing the selling price, taxes, registration, dealer fees, add-ons, etc. I asked her to send me the breakdown before I drove an hour and a half to the dealership. She refused. When I asked why, her response was essentially, "because I don't want to." She then told me I could "get a piece of paper and write it down." If she had actually been providing a complete itemized breakdown over the phone, fine, but she wasn't. She was throwing out a total thousands above the advertised price while refusing to provide anything in writing showing how she arrived at it. At that point, I asked to speak with someone else. She clearly didn't like that, and her attitude continued to get worse. Eventually, I asked for a manager and she again told me she was the manager. I clarified that I wanted whoever was above her, and she told me there wasn't anyone and that she was the general sales manager, or something along those lines. So I asked if I could speak with someone below her because, at that point, they had to be able to handle the situation better than she was. She refused to let me speak with anyone else, so I ended the call. The most frustrating part is I was already sold on the car. I had waited hours for the callback because this Niro EV was exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't calling to waste anyone's time or haggle over every dollar. Assuming the vehicle passed my pre-purchase inspection and the numbers checked out, I was prepared to make the drive and buy it. Instead, a deal that was basically already closed was ruined because a rude sales manager couldn't recognize that she wasn't the right representative to close it and simply pass me to someone else. Asking for an itemized OTD price before making a three hour round trip especially when a car listed around $12,500 suddenly becomes $16,000-$17,000 is completely reasonable. A written breakdown and a professional conversation probably would have resulted in a sale.
