This is a sister store to the Norco location same owners…read more If Premium Autos told you that you had to buy a warranty or add-on to purchase your car, read this. I successfully got my money back, and others should know they may have options too. Important: Once a proper cancellation request is submitted, companies generally should process eligible refunds within a reasonable time. In many cases, 30 days is a fair deadline to demand written confirmation and refund processing. This is the blueprint I used: Step 1: Review your paperwork for add-ons such as: - Warranty - Paint protection - Interior/exterior package - Theft device - Service contract Step 2: Find the warranty company or administrator listed on the contract and email them directly. Example contacts I used: - cancellations@vtg-services.com - info@roadvantage.com Step 3: Send a written cancellation demand including: - Vehicle info - Purchase date - Amount charged - Contract/product name - VIN (last 6 digits only) - Statement that no claims were used Step 4: Include this key statement: "Premium Autos told me they could not sell me the vehicle unless I purchased this product." Step 5: Mention California Vehicle Code §11713.18 regarding optional products being misrepresented as mandatory. Step 6: State clearly: "Please process cancellation and refund within 30 days of this notice or I will file formal complaints." Step 7: If ignored, complaints may be filed with: 1. California DMV Investigations Division 2. California Attorney General 3. FTC 4. CFPB (if financing involved) 5. Local District Attorney Consumer Protection Step 8: Request written confirmation that: - Contract is cancelled - Refund is processed - Refund sent to lender if financed I was able to successfully get my money back. Keep everything in writing, stay professional, and act quickly.
