Stopped in to work here before a doctor appointment. Got a viejito latte and it was perfectly sweetened. The ladies working were very nice and quick. There are no outlets but a few people were also working - probably more of a grab and go place. It's attached to a Kaiser building so I assume it picks up during shift changes and such.

Found this place as I was trying to look for a quick breakfast spot and couldn't be more satisfied :) I ordered an iced latte with avocado toast. The egg was optional but of course I said yes to the option! I really enjoyed the spice added on top as this was my first time eating avocado toast this way. It was different but still super good!! The workers were super kind and service was fast considering how many people were ordering since it's close to the hospital.

I popped in to try the el sancho (chorizo breakfast burrito) with added avocado. This burrito comes with chorizo, black beans, eggs, hash browns, and pico. It dies not come with cheese. I really wish they would include a hot sauce. Most breakfast burrito places do that. I enjoyed the burrito and it is filling, has browns are crispy, it's a good one. I want to try the plantain burrito next. To place an order you walk up to the counter and order and wait for your number. Probably takes about 10-15 minutes to get food. There are places to sit and eat if you prefer to dine in.

When I figured out that Emmita's is the sister cafe to Breakfast Little in the Mission- I swiftly added this to the "try soon" list. This location mostly serves the nearby health care workers and is by no means a destination brunch spot but the food is tops. The Zeus is my favorite breakfast burrito in the city- steaming hot, soft and slightly runny scramble eggs, spinach, peppers and Greek yoghurt. I left out the usual hash brown which makes it pretty healthy, right? I'm a bit suss on pre-prepared burritos that sit for hours until eaten. Not the case here - they are made to order- griddled right before your eyes. Their pan de sal breakfast sando is also a solid choice.

Tia Maria breakfast burrito, with chorizo added! So tasty. Also a Vampiro Picante

The service was smooth and efficient, the location is central and easy to get to, the space itself open and welcoming, and the prices were great. I got the Tia Maria breakfast burrito, with chorizo added, which was so tasty; I absolutely love fried plantains in a burrito. I also got a Vampiro Picante, a sweetly refreshing drink made with oranges, carrots, beets, ginger, and cayenne juice. What a great way to start out my day.

If you frequent Quest/UCSF (like myself, unfortunately), then you will have passed by Emmita's probably a million times. It's a good spot for a little treat after a doctor's visit, which is how I wound up here. The breakfast burrito is standard and solid. Sadly, extra garlic aioli costs extra, so we just added some sriracha. The sausage, hash browns, and (added) avocado make for a filling breakfast that's hard to be bad! It wasn't the best I've ever had, but definitely not bad at all. Service was fast and friendly, so it makes a good pit stop before or after your medical appointment. They also have smoothies, coffee, and juice that looks decent!

Pleasant environment, our burritos were awesome! I got the OG burrito and my friend got the Tia Maria. We both loved them. Workers are friendly. I also got the veijito latte which was delicious. My friend got the orange juice, he said it was super fresh. 10/10

Emmita's is attached to the Kaiser Permanete building. Across the street is UCSF. Sorry to say, The place gave me the willies. Aesthetics 1 star. Strong smell of cleaning product by checkout. I think it's coming from the lobby. First thing inside the door is garbage receptacles on the left, sandwich assembly counter on the right. The almost empty refrigerated case sports 1 watermelon & a pile of oranges. Emmita's must do a rocking business at lunchtime, didn't see any other cafe nearby. The menu includes juices, take-out sandwiches, oatmeal & breakfast burritos. I ordered the avocado toast. Second cafe I've been to that said they didn't have any bread (?), but they did have wheat, sourdough or bagels. (??) I chose the sourdough. Pretty average store bought taste. I was disappointed that the bread was not toasted, I mean it's called Avocado Toast. I'll give that a pass, the avocado was good, perked up a bit with some chili oil. Definitely regret ordering a side of bacon. Four strips of limp, greasy, extra fatty gut bombs, went right through me, if you know what I mean. Im writing this to manage expectations. Emmita's is not destination dining, but from what I saw, popular with the local seniors, hospital workers & patients. From the other reviews i learned the owner is well liked & has loyal customers. Perhaps Emmita's is worth a second chance & updated review. That's my story. If you're nearby, in need of a sandwich... Support Local!

Pan de sal was amazing, I could eat rocks with that bun. Appreciated the chopped sausage mixed into the egg

Lovely little restaurant located on the first floor of the Kaiser medical building at 1635 Divisidero. It gives me retro cafe vibes with soft music and gentle chatter. The food was provided in large quantity, fairly rapidly, and was incredibly tasty. Great bang for your buck if you're in the area. The only downside is the service. One of the ladies continues to be inpatient, non-responsive, and immense attitude when asking for little things such as extra sauce. Good spot, would certainly come again and update the rating as the service improves

It is tucked away and a bit inconspicuous, so be sure to keep an eye out if you decide to come over here. Since it is near the park, parking is difficult, and taking Muni would be best. The store itself is small, with two tightly packed tables for seating, and the order counter is surrounded by delicious-looking pastries, giving it a homey vibe. I went in the afternoon on a weekend, and there was no line at the time. I really needed a caffeine boost, saw this place on Yelp, and decided to try it out. I try my best to order coffees/drinks that are unique to the place so I can try their signatures and form my best judgment. I decided to order the Thai Caffe Banana Latte and saw that it was labeled as blended with bananas. When I went up to the counter, I asked about the consistency of the latte to ensure it was not a creamy blended drink (like a smoothie) but still liquid, like a typical latte. I am unsure if my question was confusing, but it seemed to bother the person serving me that I was asking questions, and they seemed to be getting impatient with me. When they rang me up, I paid, but I forgot to ask for almond milk since I felt rushed while ordering (even though no one else was in the store at the time). I asked if I could still add it in and pay the upcharge or separate fee. They ended up telling me to just tip them the extra $1 in cash or add it to the Square payment as a tip (I gave $2 in cash because I felt bad for inconveniencing them). When I got the drink, the coffee was strong, bold, and not as sweet as I thought it was going to be (which was fine!). Since the original coffee without banana says it has condensed milk, I thought it was going to have more of that sweet note with the banana, but I could be incorrect in assuming it would be sweeter. That said, the banana itself was mashed into the drink, and unfortunately, I did not taste it very much, though I did sip up some banana pieces. Based on the drinks and the service, perhaps this place just is not for me, but I would not tell you to avoid it either. I would recommend trying it yourself to formulate your own thoughts, since maybe my experience was a one-off and the drink I got was not the one that best represents this cafe!

The salted cheese cream on top added this perfect savory balance to the sweetness of the drink. It's one of those combinations that sounds a little unexpected but just works. My one note for next time is to go half sugar so the matcha flavor can really shine through, but that's a personal preference more than a criticism. The Black Sesame Latte was good, but we both wished the sesame flavor was a little more pronounced. If you're going in expecting bold, nutty black sesame notes, it's a touch on the subtle side. Still enjoyable, just leaves you wanting a little more of what drew you to order it in the first place. Overall a really fun spot with creative drinks and a great vibe. On the May Fourth be with you today Star Wars movie has Cinderella undertones. Growing up the Piroshki was all around the corner liquor stores in San Francisco especially in the Mission District ( a whole different Cinderella story). The piroshki would be a fast microwaved treat to have during lunch and after school. Over the years I have been very selective when picking up a piroshki from a corner store because they can be very doughy. There is one bakery in San Francisco which has been making a variety of piroshkis for over 70 years. This Russian bakery has both the savory and the sweet . It's located on Balboa street and it's called Cinderella. On a Spring stroll I landed at Cinderella. Inside you can see and smell the delicious bake goods which can be sweet and some salty like some in SF. On the sweet side I enjoy their honey cake but no donuts . On the savory side it's the piroshkis. My favorite is the beef and cheddar piroshki. It wasn't too cheesy like some in SF but the beef was tender and it almost tastes like a smashed burger ( not to be confused with smash burger) all in a soft bun. The are other interesting items on the menu like Pelmeni which are Russian dumplings and Siberian Pie. You can wash it all down with a Matcha Latte ( for Don Juan de la Matcha) or the Kompot drink. There is a planned expansion to the Mission District in with a location at 2937 24th street. This will be a good Cinderella story for all of San Francisco. Go to a place which has a good piroshki "supply" these piroshki buns get baked and some they do "fry" they have other baked goods and food you can "try" like their Grilled Salmon salad and the Cherry Vareniki the Russian Dumpling which has sour cream & sour cherries or the "Siberian Pie" So go on a stroll to "Cinderella" which is the place when it comes to piroshki and baked goods because they got "hella" tasty variations like the Blinchiki with Caviar with more than a bump and you also have one made with it "Nutella" and this bakery sings to me like a Broadway " A capella"
