TL;DR: cute spot for quick drinks, they only have wine and beer but they have some interesting combinations for cocktails We stumbled into this spot after walking around Japantown and needing a bit of a breather from the crowds after lunch. This is a super cute spot closer to the Fillmore side and has a good amount of people in there without feeling too packed. Service is friendly and efficient. You order at the counter and can either sit at the bar or carry your drinks to seats. The set up is really cute and the mismatched furniture suits the vibe. We've tried a variety of drinks, from beer and wine to some of the cocktails. They also serve tea and espresso drinks, so their espresso martini has a fresh shot of espresso! The list is quite extensive so I'm sure there is something for everyone. They serve food as well but I haven't had a chance to explore that side of the menu.

Came here for HH on a weekday. It's a good intimate space if you are coming in a smaller group but the place itself is intimate and chairs are somewhat uncomfortable. It's nice for conversation but wouldn't stay longer, Our group was 3 which already felt cramped. They do have board games and happy hour food options. Staff was friendly it was good crowd inside. Paid street parking available which I believe ends at 6 pm but can't remember from the top of my head. Sanfrangria was a watered down from the ice. Three Amigos Tacos was solid. 3 tacos for $12.00.

Wonderful spot to grab a glass of house wine to start your evening. Order at the counter with friendly and helpful service. The bread pudding was amazing. Really enjoyed the chocolate beer concoction. Thank you.

I really love the concept of this hybrid study/social bar but the execution fell a little flat for me. I've been here a few times and the vibes are very cozy, but the tables don't feel big enough for any studying (some really barely fit a laptop). They're also very strict about no laptops after 5pm which is a bummer as they could have probably capitalized on more customers who are looking for a work café option open in the evening. Socializing wise, it's a cute spot with a fun menu. I like the winetails (some are like fizzy ciders) but I'd stay away from the sangrias (way too sweet and doesn't taste fresh). I've played some board games here with friends and had a good time but never find myself staying long tbh since the seats are kind of uncomfortable and gets cramped.

Husband and I had 24 hours solo out on the town and checked out this place due to its varied menu. The space is small, inviting and compact. We ordered the nibbles trio, Rueben sandwich, the ginger limeade and a spiked apple cider (I forgot the official name). Ooh and we topped it all off with their chocolate mousse. I would order everything again except maybe the ginger limeade. I do think likely I just received an accidentally watered down batch, because it tasted more like flavored water than a limeade. However, everything else was delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient. It was amazing to watch how they dealt with the small kitchen and bar space yet still managed to serve all the patrons with ease. I would definitely return should the opportunity arise again.

Really cute cafe/lounge near Japantown. My friend and I ducked into this bar on a rainy afternoon to grab a quick drink before dinner. I love that they have wine and soju based cocktails if you're looking for a lighter drink. I got the yellow diamond with white wine and prosecco which was great and really bright with the orange peel without being too sweet. The snack menu looks yummy as well and while we didn't try any food this time, the freshly baked homemade chocolate chip cookies looked really tempting!

I got the Japantown Reuben and it wasn't the best but wasn't terrible either. I've had better Reuben and I wouldn't recommend this Reuben over others. The vibes of this place are immaculate though. I sat with my Reuben and a mocha and had a great time just marveling at the beauty and the books in this space. The service was quick and the person behind the bar was very good at remembering everyone's order during this busy time.

If I lived in SF, this would definitely be my go-to bar! Great ambiance and very friendly service. Loved the indoor decor. The millennial in me felt good and welcomed here. Espresso shot did its job. Sangria was delicious! Would def come back during my next visit :)

Loved the ambiance of this place! Super cute spot to chill and hang out with friends. I got the Sangria which was not good (wouldn't recommend) but excited to try the other drinks.

It's hard to find a chill place to just relax with friends or read in the evening after cafes and coffee shops close, but that's why we have the The Social Study! The vibes inside are not at all rowdy but also not silent - I'd say it has a nice casual and laidback ambiance. I caught up with a couple friends and we really enjoyed our time here. The cookies were freshly baked and came out warm. More places honestly need to start serving milk and cookies!

Fun place to go for happy hour (Monday-Friday 5-7pm). The drinks are good and the vibe is lowkey yet upscale. Service is great and you order at the bar. We went on a Thursday and they also had a Tarot reader! The only sad thing I have to say is that the tacos are not good. :(

My favorite cafe / late night bar in the city!!! The vibes are just amazing, so cozy and friendly! I've only had the pleasure of interacting with Harmony and Erin, but I'm sure the rest of their staff are just as awesome. My favorite food item is the Japantown Reuben, though the BLT and Cuban Sliders are also good contenders! I've heard the bread pudding is also drool worthy Don't sleep on the chai -- both iced and hot are tasty! I've tried most of their coffee drinks and they're also yummy, but I always go back to the chai. Would highly highly recommend this place -- give it a chance and you won't be disappointed!

We were told 10/15 minutes for a table. Took 50 minutes - nearly an hour! We totally should have gone somewhere else but alas we eventually were seated. I got pasta and also and some of the pinsa (Roman style pizza). Also had the meatballs. Everything was just so so. The pizza almost tasted stale - someone mentioned it is supposed to be like that but I've had pinsa a few times and that was not my experience. The pasta was pretty good - a red sauce. Nothing special. Meatballs also solid. Somehow my pasta came up 12-15 mins after everything else's food which was entirely confusing but oh well. The wine was good. Overall a cute little wine bar in CV, would def come back but nothing to write home about.

I was not a " stranger who walked from Haight street to your premises. Make no mistake about it. The scope of trust and honesty is more valuable and important than the scope of ice cream . At the request of my daughter and my grandmother we went to the ice cream bar this last Wednesday, taking to account we have been customers for the past 10 years on and off , we would drive from Marin just to have the ice cream there . We have seen employees come and go including Managers. Since my kids went to Grattan school. At times I personally like to pay for things in cash . We know most customers about 67% would pay by credit cards. To make a long story short. I wanted to pay my bill in $100 bill . Brand new , undamaged and straight from Wells Fargo bank. Negative thoughts would generate actions , negative actions would generate negative prejudice. What were the odds of having a family and customer using malice in bad faith? I presented the legal tender of $100 bill to The server, he took the money and checked 4 times looking at the number at the front, he used his left hand using his fingernails to scratch the bill in a strange way, like if it was a lottery ticket or a gift card , we know that large bills should be checked. then stated that he cannot accept the bill and that he had no change. Immediately, objected to his statement. I told him I quote: " You didn't even open the cash register , how would you know if you have change or not " ? He responded sarcastically, I have been handling the money all day . I responded by saying: then you should know if you can make change or not . Furthermore, I stated to him that is not how you would check for a valid $100 bill . A special counterfeiting pen is ideal to check bills. I showed him the way to be checked by holding the bill upright and matching the serial numbers to the bill. He made no good faith effort to get help from his manager , to call someone or confer with a third party responsible. This has created an inconvenience for my family. Luckily, I brought a backup card and payed by discover card to diffuse the situation . I wonder how many $100 bills were passed by me for the last 10 years? I even suggested he should call the police if he was so sure that it was a counterfeit bill. It was certainly a legal tender of a good faith/ money and finance . Section U.S.C 31 5103. The Constitution says otherwise. The ice cream bar failed to warn . If it was a policy not to accept a $100 bill , it should have been known by a clear and convincing fact by posting a statement that " No large bills / $100 bills are accepted " in a clear view of customers to be seen. I have tried to communicate with the company's MANAGER by calling her 3 times . She did not bother to answer my request to address my concerns , " my phone calls were screened " and refused to take my phone calls or respond. See how easy to lose a customer. I will not recommend this place nor go black to this ice cream place.
