I've never had an issue With The Elk Fiver Team. Bought a bike, used Harley Financing and paid less than the bank wanted. Needed help, they were there, needed parts, they had them. It's a dealership, overhead, payroll and taxes. The only thing free there is the coffee and beer. read more

I wrote a review last year on this dealer and it was not favorable in the least. I did however discover that the over charge of 4000.00 on my 2022 FXLR ST was in error. It was over 5,000 including other fees. Not mention after looking at all the copies of the paperwork "NOT ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN THEY SHOWED ME AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE " there were several different amounts as a purchase price. The extended warranty coverage was Based an a 25,999 price not the MSRP of 21,999. If I was told at anytime that there was a market adjusted price of an additional 5,000 dollars I would have walked. I asked my salesman Jordan during the buying process how much is the bike his response was 26,999. MSRP was 21,999 that I found out months later. I thought asking the salesman how much a motorcycle cost in a dealership I would get an honest reply. Not only was I lied to but mislead on other things. I have bought over 25 motorcycles most of them new in the last 35 years. I have never been scammed like this on anything I have ever bought I will offer up the paperwork to view via PDF to anyone that's wants to see It and how these numbers were hidden. The three separate numbers for the purchase price on the purchase , Extended warranty and the theft protection charge. I have sent a letter to Harley Davidson and the Minnesota Attorney General's office on this practice. I sold my FXLR ST at a 6200.00 loss out of pocket. The guy I sold it too ? He walked out of Elk River after finding out that they were trying to tack on an additional 4,000 on a Road Glide. We had a nice conversation about the practice that they use ! Had I not run into this guy I was going to let this slide and chalk it up to lesson learned. These people are absolutely shameful and deceptive Buyer Beware ! read more

Called and asked if they could swap tires. Took 4 hours to get a call back. After being told they do swap tires I come down to get them swapped. I am then told they refuse to mount tires not purchased at the store and luckily for them all the tires they sell are almost twice as much as some other motorcycle shops. Could've saved me a long trip just by clarifying over the phone instead of saying to come on down. read more

After having a terrible experience with St Paul Harley I went to these folks to rent a bike. They were WONDERFUL! They were really nice and made me feel welcome. I rented the bike and had a great time. The return was easy and painless The parts guy even solved a problem I was having trying to solve an accessory issue. Harley does not make what I want to do but he had a solution or me and it was an out of the box, great idea. Thanks! WI came to Zylstra to "look at, not buy" a new street glide. Needless to say, I left with one. Mik helped me buy it, and he is now the head of sales, so you know him treating me right was not a fluke! Zylstra is now Elk River Harley Davidson. The new owners are from south Texas. They brought tons of bikes up from Texas that are rusty and pitted from salt spray and don't seem to mention it or care when you point it out. every time I go in there it's a new salesperson with some dumb ass nickname that they have to tell you all about. Salespeople don't know the prices of used bikes and don't even know much about Harleys in general. I don't trust this new owner and will not buy a bike from them. read more

Bought my first Harley here a month ago. I had a great experience and was excited to join the Harley family. I'm aware and understand the as is policy on my bike. with that being said I've had it for about month and only been able to put 300 miles on her or so. Since owning I've put a new battery gone through 2 sets of plugs and had to replace a torn carburetor gasket. It also had a petcock broken pressure valve and the carburetor was not out back together correctly. I recently discovered the ignition timing was off not and the bike just won't start consistently. Not to mention the trips and phone calls to the dealer for parts and info. I'm both confused and disappointed how I was able to be sold a motorcycle with so many problems. read more

I thought I'd share my experience with Zylstra HD. I bought my 2014 Fat Bob new and didn't think I would get my service needs done at Zylstra as they're 45 min to an hour from my house and taking my bike to Wild Prairie HD in EP would be closer and more convenient. Well, that never happened and I have not serviced my bike from any other dealership but Zylstra. Trust is everything when it comes to your life and safety on a motorcycle and I trust these guys with my bike completely. I work mostly with Sonny in service, he is the finest individual to trust with your motorcycle and asking advice on the modifications you'll install for your bike. I've also worked with Kevin and he is awesome as is Benny. I can't say enough about their knowledge of motorcycles, their honesty and their exceptional attention to their customers. I wrote about service first because it's an important component to make certain your ride is safe and your bike bad ass after installing those modifications. The sales area is what brought me to Zylstra to begin with and Mick was great to introduce me to the dealership. They are low stress, low pressure and genuinely enjoy talking about motorcycles and not so much about the sale was what I remembered most. read more

They were quite accomodating to get my bike in and replace the battery and voltage regulator, I was visiting from Florida. This was done 8/25/18, on 8/29 I loaded up my bike on a trailer, rolled it off the trailer in Florida on September 1 and absolutely nothing, battery deader than a doornail. When I called the first response was 'your voltage regulator could be bad". It was checked on 8/25 and good, what are the odds. It was not "I'm so sorry, we want to make this right". Now in Florida I'll have to have it trailered, or jumped, and pay another $100+ to Ft Myers Harley to even look at it. Yes the battery is warrantied, not labor read more
