Tommy's Cycle Shop - My vintage Ariel wheel - it took half an hour but Tom got the old rubber off!

He squeezed us in and got her up and running in no time. Also brought him my dad's bike that sat for 12 years. Fixed her up nicely. More than a wheel...at Tommy's Cycle Shop!…read more I haven't been a motorcycle dude for over 20 years. But I came across a bunch of vintage "Ariel" British motorcycle parts at an estate that are going up for sale on Ebay. Unfortunately, 2 of the wheels still had the antique rubber on them. I cut one off myself in my living room. It took me a long time and I just about took my finger off! That really sucked! Time for a professional. I made 4 phone calls, and the only local motorcycle guy that would help me out was Tom. It took Tom, an experienced pro, half an hour to get the tire off! He pried, he sliced, he applied soap, he cussed...and finally he cut the hell out of it with a high speed rotary cutter! Then he went the extra mile and buffed the rust off of two sides so I could show on my Ebay photos that the rust will, indeed, come off. All the while, he engaged me in funny conversation, jokes, and cycle knowledge. Last but not least, all of this set me back a measly 20 bucks! Tom is such a great guy, it almost - almost - makes me want to buy a bike again. BTW, the Cycle Shop specializes in Japanese bikes. Thumbs up! -Daddy Maxx Retro

I brought the fourwheeler home with the expectation that it would run properly and just operate as expected. The fourwheeler began to kill on us over and over so I wasnt sure what was wrong. When I bought the machine Monte promised the vehicles ran well and have never had one back/returned. I was skeptical of the Kayo but moved on with Montes reassurance. When I brought the vehicle back they said they would look at it and get it running right. They called me a week later saying the vehicle was ready for pick up with a text message I had a $230 bill from diagnostic and a new spark plug. They claimed vehicle ran great and fixed the problem.I said I wasnt paying and after argument they agreed. I came up to pick up the vehicle which is 30 min from my house and 2 hours from my dads place where I brought the fourwheeler in the first place. I back my truck up to the service area and they said I should go to service dept. I went to service and spoke to service manager. He said you owe nothing and gave me no paperwork of the repair. I went back out to get the wheeler and it killed as they were going to put it up into my truck. The service tech/service advisor then said I let off the throttle but I said its an EFI it shouldnt be killing like that. I was then very frustrated and the service tech informed that they also did some other adjustments like putting a breather in the fuel line. He mentioned that they all kill all the time and if I just run it, it will break in and not kill. (starting to feel like im getting 5 different stories). I go inside to talk to Monte and he knows nothing of these issues? He very quickly said you bought it, you gotta keep it! You can trade it in. My son was with me to pick up the fourwheeler and Monte kept pushing that there was nothing he could do. Told me to leave the store in front of my son and truly acted as unprofessional as I think ive seen. The one request I had was to talk to Paul Heinen and I requested that he let him know and have him call me. I have been in business many years and I have had to lower my ego to do whats right by the customer. I know its an inexpensive four wheeler but I am surprised at the poor customer service and mostly so far buy Montes actions.
